    Tbh, i think a lot of fans around the world, not just Milan fans, are relieved that the san siro won't be demolished. Building a stadium in a different location that the club will own will benefit Milan because they won't have to pay the municipality rent anymore to play in their stadium; everything they make from the new stadium, they get to keep now.

    Any stadium under 60-65.000 seats it's a NO for me. San Siro is constantly full with 70+ thousands every match. The 40.000 subscritions cap is reached every year in a few weeks. It's already very difficult to find some tickets now.
    From what I read in Italy, seems that Cardinale got the point with the new stadium in San Donato being a 70.000+ seats.

    Any new stadium with a capacity less than 60,000 is unacceptable. Less than 65,000 would be a massive disappointment that ultimately fans could accept. We saw what happened to juve when they moved into their new stadium with decreased capacity. The atmosphere there is dead because a lot of fans have been priced out more than at other clubs. We’ve sold 72000 seats a game the past 2 seasons. This is a big European club once again and the stadium should reflect that. Hell, we sold over 40000 season tickets alone at San siro. There’s no reason to think small at milan.

    Wow can't agree more with you on Leao's snub! During World Cup, I had to debate with my friends (only watch premier league games) on his quality. To them, he is recognized as the next Chelsea's mega transfer failure, as he is mentioned in the rumor and they troll on Chelsea's spending. Leao has to shine in UCL and bring Milan the glory. He also has to play the prominent role next game against Inter as well.
    50000 seat stadium owned solely by Milan is salivating to me! The cathedral design can still stay. We need that income. I do hope a bigger stadium though.

    For Pulisic, too soon to tell ATM. Leao will win the ballon d'or eventually. He's on his way to do this. No need to panic. He needs to do more, Milan needs to do more and push until the place we belong.
    We should get our own stadium. The cathedral is an absolutely beautiful design, I believe we can do so much better at san donato. I would aim for 70K seats. Forget the glass (consumes too much energy), less asphalt and less concrete than the San Siro. Around the stadium, don't just have a park, we need the area to be a village with bars, businesses for the fans and locals to enjoy. This is our opportunity to show the world what kind of club we are. Can't wait to see what people have in mind for the area.

    Kush we fill the san siro with 70,000+ fans every home game so to give us a chance to compete in the future with other leagues and teams in Europe we need to maximize our popularity for maximum revenue and that isn't 40 to 50,000 capacity that's at least 65 to 70,000 capacity 👍 great podcast

    • @footballkush
      @footballkush  Před 8 měsíci +1

      We'll have to find the right balance for sure, but when you go over 70,000 you get very high management costs. I'll paste this reply here.
      The only thing you enjoy when the San Siro has 70k people is the football, it's a 1/5 experience otherwise.
      Maintaining a brand new 70k seater stadium has ridiculous costs. The only reason the San Siro can do that is because it's old and crumbling. The high priced section right next to VIP of a few hundred people had TWO toilets for men (when I was there) and one food/drinks stall. There was a line up of close to 80 people at a point. It's easy to maintain 2 toilets and 1 food stall, when you build a brand new stadium for 70k the same section will require at least 20 toilets and 5 food stalls, that will increase your cost and becomes difficult to manage.
      It's not just about getting 70k people into the seats, its about managing costs too.

      @@footballkush I agree totally with what ur saying and that's true but if as we're hearing from rumours that Milan want to build an all singing all dancing Milan complex on the same sort of wavelength of the New Tottenham stadium the revenues are massive we know we have the popularity to fill it every home game and the opportunity to utilize it for events when we aren't playing football games is massive and that's going to ultimately what helps us compete with other leagues as the money Milan get from serie a atm is not going to cut it. We are a massive global brand and the nonsense of paying to rent n upkeep the san siro which let's be honest is falling apart is not feasible with our aim of truly competing with every other team legitimately. I dont think Pulisic will get much playing time in the national team, so I think Pioli will start him. In my opinion FIFA rankings are more political than anything else, Leao will shine in due time regardless. With Kalulu we lose some ability to build plays from the back. Didn't realize you were Canadian too. This would be a dream move for me, he is absolute quality and has grown into the star role very well at Lille. I think he didn't move this summer because of the Mbappe saga and the domino effect it would have on the striker market. I think David has ambition beyond money so I don't think all EPL clubs can compete for his signature. Realistically there are not many clubs that could offer +50m to Lille and Champions League football to David that have a need in the #9 spot. Team success having an impact on how good he was individually doesn’t make sense. Some guys on that list who didn’t have any team successes either. What did Kolo Muani’s Frankfurt win? In my opinion, the name of a potentially incoming CF is far less important than the CF profile uniquely suited for Milan’s system: size, age, movement without the ball, work rate in all phases of the game, good use of both feet, mental disposition etc. Personally, I’m not convinced by Jonathan David nor Thuram previously, despite the performances you’re seeing at Inter. P.S. Not to be dismissive, but both Thuram and Arnautovic were Maldini ideas.
    Leao not getting a golden ball nomination is immaterial. What I believe matters most is that he continues to contribute to the club and improves along the way. He must focus on the journey not the destination.
    Milan need their own stadium, sans Inter and/or municipality/government. Thankfully, RedBird have wealth of experience in this area.

    The benefit with having to rent a stadium is that the cost of renting vs owning a stadium and the other facilities around a stadium is substantial. Renting is much cheaper and affordable, AC Milan need to be certain that the stadium is used regularly so that there is money coming in all the time. This is hard, whatever the project is at the end - this club needs to account for making money from the stadium when the football season is done. How much is the cost and will the structure of the financing of this project leave the club paying off debt for a decade or more. I am concerned about this as it will effect the books and then FFP will be circling to see if the books are shot to shit due to this. The main thing around all of this is that the club needs to be performing in order for the project of a new stadium to be successful. Tough decisions are ahead and there is going to be more hick-ups along the way, but what needs to be consistent is performing on the pitch, and money is going to be needed to do this while the stadium is being made into a reality.

    • @kevonking

      Quality planners create facilities that can almost be used on a daily basis. Don't forget stadiums host concerts, corporate events, private events, tours in general, there are a lot of ways to monetize a stadium and keep all the profits. Sure it would increase cost but also revenue.

    • @TheFergo911
      @TheFergo911 Před 8 měsíci

      @@footballkush yeah we don't really know the exact extent of what this project is going to contain, whatever it is, the project's main aim should be to substantially increase the revenues of the club so as to offer a better transfer strategy and wage bill than it is right now.
      I have mentioned FFP, since clubs around Europe build their new stadiums with a mix of cash and debt. How the financing of the debt is to work out, that is a worry, since the club can put themselves into a corner. The club might need to pay the debt using the cash generated from the club's new revenue stream, if this happens, whatever is left is what the club will have to use for wages and the transfer market.
      Now what will be that figure is anyone's guess right now as it's really too early to tell.
      But if there isn't a budget which is higher than 60 Mil, considering the club is successfully performing in the league and the UCL. Then it is going to be hard for the owners to be comfortable around the fan base and its board members. I mean, this project in my opinion-with the team being in the top four and competing for the UCL. That should lead the club to distance themselves from the sell to buy method in Serie A.
      If that doesn't happen as there isn't enough money from the new project due to revenues going to pay off debt. That puts the owners under pressure to sell to buy or inject their own cash into the budget, and then FFP will come knocking. But this is just one outcome and it could be that more than enough is generated to not need to sell to buy. But this is worth mentioning and questioning the club's intentions after the stadium is made.
      Do the owners know that the debt will take a chuck away from the revenues from the new project and as such they see the new stadium just as a way to increase the value. After which they will then sell it for a higher margin than they spent. It is a likely scenario.

    • @footballkush
      @footballkush  Před 8 měsíci

      And have you been to the San Siro with 70k people there? The only thing you enjoy is the football, it's a 1/5 experience otherwise.
      It's not just about getting 70k butts into the seats, its about management too.

    Im ready to see Chukwueze play in the team. I don’t think it’ll be a fatigue issue for pulisic, as much as it is a preparation issue. If he’s only getting 1 training session of prep ahead of the match with that game plan, that’s not enough. I think sammy has had enough time with the squad now that he should be just as prepared as pulisic was to start the season. We need to see what he has to offer on the brightest stage, especially for how much we paid.
