Huge props to the engineers who decided to use the same size screws on all of the inside. It's a nightmare when you have a lot of different sizes while repairing.
Huge minus for making them philips instead of metric hex or torx
@@irondan3575 you're insane.
@@DGCastell indeed
Yeah, unlike CrApple
S22
It's amazing how much sound comes out of those little speakers (and with great quality)

You're like a "Tech Surgeon". Soo clean, precise, and satisfying.

Omg you’re right
Respect to samsung for including a pull tab this time around. Battery replacement seems as easy as it can get with a glass back phone, assuming the battery isn't paired to the phone.
If I can decide between you and a certain very popular CZcamsr that does not take as much care disassembling, I'd choose your video every time. Keep it up!
Thanks so much ☺️ does this certain youtuber like opening things with a knife? 🤔

Thanks for the comments on placing the sim card tool in the wrong hole. It happened to me and I was afraid I'd broken something.
Same to me😅
Happened to me as well.
It's really nice knowing how easy it is to change the back glass and camera lenses if it gets damaged
Thank you for putting my mind at ease about sticking the pin injector in the wrong hole... I really freaked out at first. Should have known better. Glad Samsung had enough foresight to account for people like me...
Np worries 🙂
So nothing happens to the mic if you place the pin injector in the wrong hole? you can't pierce the mic? Is the phone still waterproof?
@@arturpytel9940 he explains it at 9:00 in the video
I really pushed the pin hard into the microphone hole . Did I damage something?
I also stuck the pin in the wrong hole.
9:00 to 9:15 section of your video, to me, provides the most valuable information. I, definitely, am that person that tried to release the sim card via the incorrect port! I thought for sure I damaged one of the mics. Thank you for relieving my worries!
same
As a phone repair tech, thanks for making these videos, I won't be going in blind when I open one of these up.
😀👍 no worries
Great teardown, speaking as a technician that repaired hundreds of phones
I watched the entire thing in hopes of seeing the microphone channel because I accidentally put the ejection tool there 😢 your precise information saved me from worrying too much. Thanks!
Same here mate 😂
Got a new phone yesterday. Did the same while trying to put in a sim 😂
Great teardown! Loving your style. Hope to see more videos from you.
Very sweet, precise and calm. Love you're mic. Satisfying video and sound. Keep it up 👌
That back removal was just “ACE”!
🫡😂
My father uses pcbway the problem is they don't make pcb boards for 1 they sell minimum 5 pieces so they get it with their friends, still cheap for ametours its a great service. Nice sponsor
The battery adhesive that you just removed is actually reusable because they are not being congested when you pulled the battery out of the phone, you can reuse it for several times between teardowns
Great video, as always. Love the precision and care you have towards devices. I have a question related to 9:08. Say I was trying to deep clean my phone, what would happen if you stuck a pair of tweezers into the speaker grill to get the grime out, but accidentally push too hard into the speaker hole? Similarly, what would happen if I stuck the corner of a sheet of paper into the top earpiece speaker to try to get the dust out? Would both of these be harmful to the waterproofing gaskets? If yes, what would you recommend to get those two places cleaned properly, as they're very hard to do so?
Nice, I like the crisp sounds.
thanks for the upload, I was waiting for it! You never disappoint with your uploads!
I am really happy with the design, and I think them adding a pull tab was a good thing. Although it is not that good. It is still a nice touch
Looks very well built.
So glad that s23 comes with really high-quality material.
s series always come with high quality material
@@aryanverma7800except normal S21 which have plastic back
I looked for a teardown video after mistakenly inserting the sim ejector tool into the adjacent microphone hole, worrying I damaged the mic on day 1. Glad he clearly showed that Samsung were considerate enough to prevent this with some clever engineering.
Yes! I inserted it wrong on my S22 last year. Even I can be silly 😄
@Restore Technique me too on my new S23 Plus , are you sure nothing happened to the mic ?
@@Aspire95 yes I'm sure, but read my latest community post for more information
great to see that the battery is so easy to replace.. i mean relatively
You're videos are really great, so precise and clean. Would be nice to see more teardowns and also restorations
Thanks so much man
What a nice video... Make me amaze for your work 🙏🏼
This phone looks good in terms of repeatability ... I had the ultra 22, decided to go down a bit with a smaller phone and got this for me and my wife, and i am pretty happy (except the camera its just alright, but it is what it is)
What's the problem with the camera tho?
@@artsbyamar7648 no problem, as I said it's just alright. It won't blow your socks of. It's just alright.
Thank you for mentioning the microphone hole. I poked the microphone hole with full force on my new s23. Of course, I did not intend on doing such foolhardy behavior on purpose!
No worries 🙂
@@RestoreTechnique I'm even more dumb and I accidently poked the other hole in between the speaker and usb-c. It's supposedly an air vent hole.. Did i do dmg to it or am I good? 🤣😨
Watching after a long time someone taking care of an expansive tech gadget with so much care which gives me peace of mind, not like the brute bald guy who gives me heartache everytime he bangs the new expansive phone 🤌🏻✨
Nice, thankyou.
I like JerryRig's channel, but I do cringe sometimes when he opens phone's with a knife (and damages things).
Nice and clean in side I like that 🔊 are connected to boards the a14 was a nightmare to change screens
Best build quality ever Samsung offered. But the Side Button still has the same issue of dropout
A3 2017 or the A-series line of 2017 was better than flagships about build quality.
Surgical precision disassembling and assembling phones!
Amazing, this video gave me so much peace. You are pro, bro
This is more satisfying than listening to ASMR videos
Thanks sir for your very informative content about this disassembly of one of the best phone in this generation
No problem 🙂👍
I really appreciate how careful you are with disassembly. As a repair technician it pains me to see Zack hack at the phone with a knife during his teardowna and make the phone unusable. You've earned a sub.
I don't know why but this is so satisfying to watch ...
Amazing work 👍🏻
Wow i understand the Phone imediately and i think its way more easyer to fix something
Thank you for this video. It will be a pleasure to replace my s23 battery in the future!
Have you managed to find original adhesive for the S22 you opened last year, to seal it again?
I do like watching your videos 👍Thanks man
Thank you for the video!
the row of tiny screws is really satisfying
😊👌
Is it possible to completely remove the 5G antenna in the Samsung S23 or any other top level phone, or at least disable it assuming that it's separate from the 4g antenna (yes I am aware that one can simply turn it off in the connections settings).
Thank you for your excellent work and hopefully, answering my question, Brian
Neat and clean tear down
Thats a neat teardown video
Been waiting for this. I am planning to have that one since i have a small hand and loves smaller phones yet powerful. I could say that it is solid and sturdy sincr u had a hard time opening it
I love smaller phones too, even though I've got large hands lol. Traded the S10e for the S22 last year.
Surgeon specialist 😊thanks for showing me inner organs of my s23😄
I loved the video, if you would have some spare time could you please take a picture of the phone without the backglass, by pointing the camera directly above the phone, so that the perspective is good for a teardown wallpaper. I have the cream s23 and would love to have the wallpaper in the matching color. I would be very thankful if you could do that ❤️
So Impressive how they've made it...
What an awesome vid. Congrats man!
The metal frame looks more premium than even an iPhone pro model.
Very very very nice...so satisfying 😆
A very good job! Thank you!
Cheers
Awesome phone.. more awesome is your video.. double thumbs up pal.. greetings from Patiala, Punjab.🎉😊
please look at the interior designs of your samsung watches, you are loved, greetings from turkey, adana

@@lisarayner3091 Lisa, thank you very much, people like you are always good, thank you very much
Thanks for the upload mate

Better than Jerryrig So calm and ...microscopic views of parts looks outstanding 👏 nice work
Interesting on the adhesive being less tacky than the older Samsungs. I wonder what that means in the long term as far as water resistance. There's clearly a difference between the adhesives in an iPhone vs this.
Can,t wait to get s23 tmr
Nice to see vapor chamber cooling system on the s23 I’m gonna buy one ☝️
👍
so satisfying 💯
accidentally bumped into this video and it was really nice to know I didn't screw it up by sticking the simcard pin in the wrong hole once
👍
9:02 What a relief!
I'm so happy the back glass just comes right off unlock using a laser machine for iPhone
Yes! It's like $20 to replace instead of hundreds of dollars for iPhone (iP14 exception)
Hello! Below, near the charging port, there are 3 holes. 1 for opening the sim tray, 2 for the microphone. And why 3 holes near the speaker?
Does it lose water proof protection once you open it?
I think they did a nice job on the changes. Lord knows engineering smartphones is not easy work and I thank these people for doing an amazing job. Finally sticking it to the apple snobs 😬😁🤣
At 9:08 when you are demonstrating the waterproofing of the microphone channels, what about the other pin-sized hole/channel next to the speaker on the bottom? What even is the purpose of that hole, and does it share the same waterproofing as the bottom microphone hole or does it have waterproofing located somewhere else? Thanks.
Sarebbe interessante saperlo, a cosa serve l'altro foro sotto e se è impermeabile, grazie mille 🤗
Helpful video. Thanks for uploading
No worries
Hello! Thanks for the nice video! What is the hole beside the sim ejection hole? Because I thought it was the ejection hole and press a little hard into it. Will it cause any damage?
9:00
Thanks for the video. It's very informative.
I'm very curious to know is it possible to fit S24 battery in S23? I know S24 has a 100mh larger battery capacity still if somehow it's possible to fit in S23, just imagine how much SOT we can get from S23.... please give it a try...thank in advance 😉
Hi just wondering if you can put the s23 back on the s22
very nice hardware 😍
0:34 Can you make a sepparate video discussing about this
-what is USB-C Type
-How Many USB-C Type today
-How to differentiate each one (design, connector pins, bricks etc)
How would i know if the Cable im using supports 3.0-3.2 instead of just 2.0 like this one
I got the S23 and the fact that they use the vapor chamber this year instead of the graphite cooling on the S22 wich was terrible, the result is magnificent! I don't have any heating isseus or battery drain problems i had the S22 but i sold it i'm from europe so it had the shitty exynos 2200 chipset, now it's the snapdragon chipset global finally!
Yeah it's a decent upgrade, I'm starting to think maybe I should swap from my S22 🤔
@@RestoreTechnique I swapped from the S22 to the S23 for this big change i had a lot of problems with the S22, and as i said we had the exynos 2200 back than and now finally the snapdragon chipset the battery is stunning now!
@@TheCorne87same
@@StarJes1 I got the S23U now
@@TheCorne87 cool, but i wouldn't trade my normal s23 for that, cuz its perfect size and comfortable to use
Perfectly crafted smartphone...
Thanks for the well executed teardown. Do you know what audio DAC they use?
No worries. I don't know what DAC they use sorry
Since it does not have a tray for an external Memory card how can i add one
Is there some way to make that possible.
256gb is way too small for me n hence wonner add an external memory card
فوقالعاده بود❤
I'm very impressed with the overall build of this phone. But it really SHOULD be very good at this price. It should also be really serviceable and repairable with original parts. Is it possible to see a similar break down of the S23 Max or Ultra?
Without the screen is not a full teardown
The screen is conected to the frame
Very solid work on the phone
Cheers
Wow looks like the battery can easily replace. Looking forward to get samsung galaxy s23 or s23+ just waiting the release of the S24 series so the s23 series will drop it price.
สุดยอดมาก กำลังตัดสินใจ ออกรุ่นนี้ ครับ
So if you have to replace fingerprint sensor you'll need to take out the screen?
Yep 😥
@RestoreTechnique my fingerprint sensor on s23 plus doesn't work what can i do ?
Its the Least Confusing and Overwhelmingly procedure out of Samsung Flagship Lineup
Props To Samsung 😁
It's really nice
9:03 ...thank you so much... I did exactly that😂
Great video, Cheers!
Thanks 👊
Suka suara video proses pembongkaran , bagus
All those screws were the same size - is that a new Samsung thing or am I thinking of Apple's "far too many different sized screws" approach to engineering?
It's not that uncommon with Samsung's. Usually they're all the same size except a couple of odd ones.
@@RestoreTechnique Screws 10/10, Battery pull tab 3/10 ; ) Thanks for another great video RT.
@@JohnRowley everyone else who dissasembled it just pulled the screen out without alcohol so i think its not a big deal, i would at least the screen up before doing this. Jerry also showed that the screen is extremly durable against heat and the pixels wont die from fire lol
@@daidalos1508 I think we might have some misunderstanding - I was alluding to the battery pull tab not being as good as it could have been. Having watched RT's other videos they seem much more effective in other phones he's worked on. Still, as he said - at least there was one at all on this model!
That's why Samsung is the best and iSheeple are idiots 😂
I love the high build quality of my OnePlus 9 Pro 5G. All of OnePlus latest flagship phones seem to have excellent build quality.
No. They bend super easily. Also cooling is not very good, software is mediocre. Price is ridiculously high. Oneplus is the worst phone manufacter right now unfortunately..
@@svenvanderzwaag1012 I've never experienced any of those problems. Anyhow, I've recently upgraded my phone to a new Samsung Galaxy S23. It's the regular version and not the Ultra or the plus. So far, I really like it.
@@bobby1970 also just got the s23. Amazing device thus far indeed!
On a scale of 1-10 what would you give for a repairability score?
Awesome
So main differences inside vs the ultra? I am returning my ultra for the confort of the refular s23 so i want to know more about differences in quality inside and shell
Hi, I just accidentally drop my S23, and want to know if any internal damage occurred
Could you please confirm whether the Wireless Coil and NFC Antenna connector to the Mother Board is tight / close enough to the back glass (So, it won't move)?
Since from my perspective that's the only moveable part apart from the Camera's OIS part
Thanks
0:45 oops wrong hole 💀
I never thought seeing a phone i have never had would hurt me this much hahaha
