- This hunting blind was super easy to make and will probably last forever. It's a 1,000 gallon tank, approximately 6.5' tall (at the peak), over 5' in diameter and constructed of durable plastic. It is a TANK of a deer blind. The size makes it great for archery or rifle hunting. @mountainbuck any chance you could review the ameristep deluxe double chair blind for bow hunting? Hardly any video footage of it, but some say it would work for compound bow. If there is room to have and maneuver the bow around in there with you, it could be ideal with quick set up and get out. Sorry to message you off this video, couldn't find any other spot to message off of. All info appreciated.
@@brianberland129 hey Brian! That looks like a pretty cool product. Very easy to transport and pop-up for a quick setup, like you mentioned. Just looking at the pictures, I’m not so sure about using a compound bow. It seems more suited for crossbows, rifles and shotguns. If I have the opportunity to check it out I’m person, I will definitely take a look!

Great build. Dairy farmer here, and had a 2000 gallon tank that we had to toss out. I couldn't decide what to do with it, and then found this video. Now my wife and I are converting it into a blind tomorrow lol thank you for the insight

Paint the inside black so your silhouette doesn’t spook deer when you move. Add acrylic windows and tint them. Put some handles on the sides to lift, and some vents inside that open and close.

Well the cost of used water tanks just went up $200 😁..That would make a great ground blind without a platform for the older hunter or the dad looking to get our kids joining us on a hunt...... great idea thanks

That's pretty awesome matter of fact I know where there's one of those sitting right now it's about the same height but it's a little bit bigger around than that one.
The only tweak I would do to the one you did would be to paint the inside black

Hey Stacy, thanks for checking out my channel! I have that artificial turf/outdoor carpet in there to dampen any sound from moving around. I do try and be careful with gently placing my crossbow or rifle on the window cutout as that would create some sound. Other than that it’s pretty quiet!

When I was building it was warm out so it did get warm in there. It just depends on the outside temperature, but you also have those big windows that will provide cross-ventilation. Best of luck 👍🏻

I piped the PVC 8” into the ground so it would leave minimal scent 👍🏻
I will give it to you, you stole the tank for that price. I would have taken my time and tried to make some cleaner cuts. Put a little more thought into it maybe. But it’s cool I guess.
