Hughes will be someone that this franchise needed since we became a team! Never had a superstar on the blueline
This aged well
He's a busy rn
Who's back here to watch this given the season he's had?
On pace for 100+ points and leading the NHL in Defenseman points. Happy for Vancouver as a MN Wild fan.
Who’s back when the Szn is over and this guy is going to win the Norris Trophy
SHOUT OUT TO THE MATH TEACHER
lmao Jack looked more excited than Quinn.
So excited for this kid
I'm not even a Canucks fan and I hope Jack Hughes ends up in Vancouver next draft. To see those two play together would just be incredible
"SUP MOM"
Future #1 Defender!
You were not wrong 🤝
Huge win for us
Can’t wait, the best defender the Canucks will have in a long time
Lol,, hes not a defender... more likely 4th forward :-)
@@dsrevo79 beat defender in canucks history already and he's like 23 lol
Quinn isn't afraid of battling bigger players in the corners. He fears his shirt being untucked.
1:34 look at that smile on Jack.... man
Jack seems like he’d fit in great into the Canucks..
Brother in Vancouver? Drafted by Vancouver? Draft in Vancouver? Its bound to happen
VanCanucks72 🤞🤞
@@dawnrisen3658 Brothers in Vancouver? It's almost like it's scripted to happen
Mason Lamb #OldTakesExposed
"Ay bro. What's up bro."
He’s going to be a superstar best defender in the nhl next year and all star this year
loved burke's comments about him at the draft
only two things he said were "always risky trying to sign college kids" and "that's a small body"
the game is changing burke...size isnt everything
It helps prevent injuries.
Any chance we can get all three Hughes brothers on the Canucks? LOL
N810Productions I’m in 2020 now jack is on the devils
And I predict that Luke is going to the habs
Jeffreyplayz Hockey yessie
@@JeffreyPlayz_Ofcl well, that prediction wasn’t great, but Vancouver has a chance of getting the other Hughes, low, but possible
Looks like New Jersey has 2 of the 3 Hughes bros.
What a beast
Canucks fans are so happy. Great character and skill
Thank you to the other teams that passed on him. Captain Quinn, thank you for restoring my passion for the canucks. I will shed a tear when you number gets put in the rafters.
Why did I cry when jack said he’s proud
What a coincidence, I also love him so much

This aged well....
How awesome 3 brothers all drafted. I guess us mortals get the vicarious experience
I like Jack a lot. He has had a disastrous start to his career. I'm hoping the devils give up on him early and my canucks unite the bro's at some point in their careers.
first playoff game as cap, lets goo
He's finally here...March 2019.
how is our 2019 first round draft pick in this video already??
JohnC image as ur first line
Boeser-J.Hughes-Pettersson
XBOXRULES speed and skill... speed and skill... the nhl is evolving and the Nucks are smart to embrace change NOW!
XBOXRULES no that’s the point of the other liens
XBOXRULES yeah beacause teams like pittsburgh won back to back cups with grit and size
Arjan Sahota - Hughes Petterrson
- Horvat Boeser
wish he played this year
What a steal!
Just need his brother jack now haha
If we get a crack at Jack in 2019, the Canucks will be on fire!!!!
Stud!

Be poo for j hugh
Still in team tank? 😉
Finnuck I am total tank now
Quinn was expected to be drafted by Detriot. The Red Wings were coming into the draft needing a defenseman. Quinn played in Michigan. He was Detriot's answer to their needs. But, an elite sniper named Zadina fell a few spots and it was either choose a sniper or choose a defenseman for Detriot. They picked the sniper.
So of course Quinn would not be as excited to be chosen
if Steve Yzerman was the GM of the Detriot Red Wings in 2018, he would have token Quinn without a doubt
Looking back, Hughes looked more like a professional league of legends gamer, not a hockey player. Turned out to be the best player of the 2018 draft.
hes pretty good.....
the replacement for Edler as we can trade him now for maybe some picks
As next year the next draft is in Vancouver
Hopefully we hear next year
For the #1 pick the Vancouver Canucks select Jack Hughes
Crosby4ever I can see them trading for the 1rst overall.
Damn I want Jack so bad
This kid was a steal at 7th, he's at worst 2nd behind Svechnikov, but there are a bunch of players like Andrei. Huggy could be the next Lidstrom and players like that don't come around very often. I'd say he was the best from this class.
So the canucks filmed the draftees before the draft.... interesting how many players
dsrevo79 they took it from the NHL, Canucks have their own content posted
Luke hughes is 35 years old
He acts older and seem smarter than the other ones
#bringlindenback
Damn, that boy looks like his "Momma"!
NJ Devils brought me here.
You can tell how sad he was that he didn't go to Chicago
I think Vancouver would trade up for jack Hughes for this yr draft in Vancouver
Number 18 he’s 43?????
Lol Luke Hughes made me laugh kinda
We are lucky that kakniemi and Hayden were picked before
Asleep Osprey Kotkaniemi and Hayton lol
We were lucky that ottawa and Montreal were stupid enough to draft by position rather than draft best player available
Cody Mah Ottawa arguably drafted "most NHL ready" player available, rather than positional need.
talesofsymphonia295 i understand why they did (want him to play next year so colorados 1st round pick from them isnt high) but its an awful philosophy to draft short term over long term
Cody Mah Tkachuk was still projected to be a Top 5 for some mock drafts, so it wasn't really a reach. Kotkaniemi's stock only rose cuz many believed Montreal needed to draft him for positional needs. I don't blame Ottawa for picking Tkachuk, but he definitely didn't have the most offensive upside.
Why does he have his math teachers number?
Bc she probs tutored the hockey guys sicne they travel so much
I play against his cousin
Elias Petterson should've been 1st overall in his draft year and Jim benning got him at 5th.
Quinn Hughes should've been 2nd overall in this draft and Jim Benning got him at 7. Great job JB is doing with drafting in Vancouver.
Only if JB selected Matthew Tkchuck instead of Juolevi, Canucks wouldve had Boser, Tkchuck, Pettersson, and Huges 4 year in a row.
Still Great though. If Jim benning ever gets fired, a rebuilding teams or a team looking to tear down should hire him right away.
And another example is Boston. JB was the one in charge of drafting in Boston and look how they been looking for last 9-10 years
That's a small body gentlemen
I didnt realize hes wearing virtanens number
all the jerseys at the draft will have the draft year on them, not the players actual number
It says "Jack Hughes Quinn's Brother" Lmao Jack is more than just his brother hes going to have a great career too wtf
His mom is a rocket
He's going to top out around 180 pounds and will be injury prone his entire career. 5'10 D-men as light as him are a RISKY proposition in the NHL.
But we aren't in the 80's anymore.
Not saying small players aren't effective in today's NHL, just saying that they are STILL injury prone which is something that everyone is forgetting in this rush to draft small d-men.
@2WIREG The guy hasn't even played 82 games and you're judging my comment based on that? Are you joking?
lol, bag of pucks weigh twice as much and will defend better.
