With all that has happened this year, we NEED this in 2020.
Have you ever noticed that when a group like this starts playing spontaneously, everybody around starts smiling. When this group starts playing with such beauty, such power, such professionalism people fight to hold back the tears. This music, this band, like the US Navy band, touches people deeply. They speak with the power of love, beauty and hope and bring pride to our nation.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Happy holidays to you and your family!
God Bless America 🇺🇸
American Pride Word Wide!!!!!!!!!!777
Amen
Nope. I cry freely
I've watched this video every year since someone sent me the link back in 2013. I start my holidays with this viewing. Very proud to have served in the USAF!
I am happy to say that I watch it every year too and I post it to share the joy with others each year as well. This performance still makes me cry every time!!!
Thank you for your service! I also watch it every year and sometimes during the year as well if the mood strikes me :) Make sure you copy this somehow in case they ever take it down. SO MANY times I have a favorite video and then BOOOM, its gone. I have a backup just in case :)
USAF 1969-1973 thank you for your service
It was an honor!
Thank you for your service!
I lose it every time I watch this video. The songs, by themselves--but then there's family lost in service to the U.S. and to the Crown, and yup, I lose it. Thank you, USAF Band.
This is, by far, the highest ranking group of mostly enlisted U.S. Air Force personnel I've ever seen, including during my four years of service between 1968 to 1972, which means these airmen musicians, on average, have been in for some years and must truly love what they are doing. It certainly shows. Beautiful.
Thank you so much! We love our jobs.
Oh, how beautiful and moving
Thank you so much!! I hummed along, I'm so grateful that I can hear it in South Africa !!❤
This is the part of America we can be proud of. Merry Christmas to our military and their families!!
The reaction of the children to classical flash mob music always gets to me. They get it right to their innards body and soul.
WOW! USAF! Thank you from our family whose Dad was an F-80 pilot shot down over North Hell Korea and spent 14 months as a POW! Glorious! Wonderful! Praise God! Love you, Daddy!
I think this is the best CZcams video ever made. Period.
@Hello Don how are you doing
The United States Air Force Band playing CHRISTMAS music! Makes me proud to be an American! Merry Christmas to all!
Praying that the 573 grinchs who disliked this get a heart for Christmas 💖
It made me cry. No matter what one believes or doesn't, the music is beautiful, and speaks to everyone.
Dan Bridston
One of the beauties of humanity
You are correct 💛🎶
Me too, Dan!
Wow 👏 😮
lol
My heart is full of pride for our military.
I am a retired Army veteran.
My son serves in the Army.
My son serves in the Air Force.
We would have it no other way.
May God continue to bless this nation with those who would go into harms way for this nation.
After 30 years in the military (and still serving) this brought tears to my eyes. So, to all my fellow airmen serving away from home this holiday season...Merry Christmas and stay safe!
Thank you for your service
Not only was this one fabulous performance but the happy smiles on the faces of the onlookers made it all so much worthwhile. Good on ya Yanks!
I cannot get enough of this. I feel the Spirit every time I watch it. I just love love tove this!
It is just as good in 2019 as it was when performed. Thank you
Each and every service
member. God Bless America
I was here this day on a field trip. 2 of my classmates actually walk through frame at 3:32. Now 6 years later I’m awaiting my ship date for Air Force BMT
Yes! Congratulations!! Welcome to the world's greatest Air Force! Good luck and Aim High! ✈️
This brings a smile to your face and awe to your heart."God Bless America"!
It's unbelievable how much these men and women do for their country!!!
I'M 100% NAVY AND THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL....MERRY CHRISTMAS/HAPPY HANNUKAH TO ALL!
After watching this I am extra proud of having been a member of the US Air Force. You guys make me super proud of my service.
Cool story bro.
I consider it the best 'flashmob' performance of all time.
Thank u 4 ur cervix
Me too. One of the snare drummers for Keesler AFB Drum & Bugle Corps, 1955. Served later as an automatic tracking radar tech for SAC until my discharge in late 1958. They were four of the best years of my life. I'm now 84.
Same here as a veteran of The US Navy.
I started crying when this played. Helped me out tremendously in an article I’ve been cooking up. Thank you to the wonderful airmen of the U.S. Air Force Band. ❤️
my dad is in this as one of the singers ryan dolan
Brother airmen.
Good for him ma'am.
Kathryn Dolan Your Dad has to be very good, there’s a great deal of competition for those positions. I’m sure you’re very proud of him.
Cool!
How awesome to be a part. What a gift to all those there!
Beautiful! Got a little misty eyed there!
The world needs more music randomly popping up out of no where. Flash mobs in public settings where no one expects are truly magical.
Also those trumpets!!!! Goosebumps! They make me want to pick up my trumpet again after I set it aside for half a year since graduating high school.
Thanks for watching! Never too late to pick it up again!
unbelievably beautiful!!! USAF, if you can only hear me clapping.....i shed a tear of delight and admiration.....thank you for the honour and pleasure of viewing this and listening to this.....with much prayers for the wellbeing of everyone of you in the U.S. Air Force!!!
I have never seen a man play the harp before this. This the American spirit we are so porud of.
LOVE this video! As a Christian & the wife of a career USAF musician, I just couldn't be prouder / happier to see this amazing video. What a way to celebrate Christmas! Thanks so much for posting this . . . I'll show my husband right away.
I've watched this several times, and I cry everytime! Wish I could have seen this in person, or even better, played in the band!
@Hello Paul how are you doing
Thank you for your service, sacrifice and talents. Happy New Year 2024!!
Same to you!
What a special treat those visitors to the museum got that day! The Air Force band is a class act, how can this not bring a smile to your face!
Thank you for the high praise!
My wife and I were there and it was an incredibly wonderful experience! I truly wish circumstances were different and these flash concerts could happen once again so others could experience these wonderful musicians. I truly enjoy watching the Colonel so obviously enjoying what he is doing as well!
That's me at 3:40! This was the most amazing thing to witness!
It's particularly gratifying to see and hear such beauty coming from America's finest, with Apollo 11 and the "Spirit of St. Louis" in the background.
A HUGE smile on my face and a couple of tears!
They were hoping to get about 10,000 views. How do you think they did?
These folks are awesome.
from now on all flash mob orchestras must show up with their conductors
Dopeness!!!!!
Yet another reason to love our Military! Such devoted and talented individuals! Makes me very proud to be an American. Would have been the best day every to have witnessed this in person.
After seeing this last year, I remembered it instantly. It is a most beautiful presentation of the Joy of Christmas done by such a skilled group of musicians by the men and women who so wonderfully give of their time & lives to protect us and our freedoms. Awesome!!!!
Thanks for this, I belonged to Lutheran church of over a thousand member in a town of 500, we opened our Christmas morning service with this song, sang by three choirs and brass band playing, and the organist playing znd the congregation singing as loud as they could. We would shake the rafters of the gothic 100 year old church, one of the fondest and most beautiful memories of my youth in Bode Iowa.
Yeah, my eyes teared up watching this. I am a real man.
I cried a little. This was so beautifully done. I'm a violinist.
Me too. I am a former flute player. Go Air Force!
Trombone! :D
Baritone!
Flute!
Aldrin Bula Started trombone, did several years on baritone, switched to trumpet when "No pass - No Play" went into effect in Texas basically wiping out the entire trumpet section.. Thanks H. Ross Perot...
The 618 dislikes are from people who don't respect our Air Force and wouldn't know excellent holiday music performed by one of the most professional musical ensembles in our entire military!
Beautiful music by the Air Force Band. . .. .I was in the U.S. Air Force, too, so this is special to me.
Awesome! You guys & gals make me proud to have been a part of the USAF! God bless you all! And
Thanks for serving!
What a great band/orchestra; the love of my musical life.
@Hello Darry how are you doing
Why am I crying, dang it! Great job, wish I could have been in the crowd.
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. Thank you Mr. Bach and the USAF Band for this testament to who Jesus Christ is. Thank you Jesus for what you did and who you are.
Being an alumni of the AF bands program (stationed at Wright-Patt Sept '84- Oct '92 & Hanscom Oct '92- Oct '94), this makes me extremely proud to call myself an Air Force musician! Well done Col. Lang & members of the AF DC band.
Jerry Smith, tuba
Tacoma Concert Band
I cried by the end of this! One of the most beautiful performances I've ever heard! Thank you soooo much for sharing! I'm so proud of our Air Force!
Thank You! What a Gift you are giving us!.. So beautiful.
My cousin is in the USAF Band Europe!!! I'm so proud of her!!!
Awesome! That's a wonderful and important assignment for the USAF Bands.
This was totally amazing!
The minute that young cellist sits down, the tears well up. Joined by the equally best America has as bassist -- I'm done. Floodgates. Can't even mention the young Ladies up top. Fly High Air Force!!!
I didn't know angels served in the AIR Force!!! Awesome!!!
Plenty do. From the Air Force Band to the ParaJumpers to the Air Transport Command. Even the boys and girls of the combat wings would prefer a mercy mission to a combat mission.
FLJBeliever1776
Amen to THAT! (102nd TCS RIANG 1974-1992)
Quanuck You're welcome.
I did know that. My son is one of those angels.
I like how it all started with one lone cellist, and then built from there to the crescendo at the end. I was crying tears of joy and delight by the end. And my salute not only to these fine USAF musicians, but whoever did the arrangement as well. Spot ON :)
What a great Christmas Gift! Thank You USAF Band you Crushed it.....
The last chord is sublime. Perfectly rounded. So good I needed my headphones.
saw it ten times but still loving it.tears!!what a super B performance.greetings from the netherlands......
@Hello How are you doing dear
For inspiration I keep coming back to this incredible presentation at different times during the years since 2013. A GREAT Salute to the Dedicated and Professional Members who gifted us with their wonderful talents!
So beautiful, thank God he created so many talented people.
It makes me very proud to be a former member of a USAF band from 1969-1973. A very Merry Christmas to all my friends and family and to our troops who serve so that all this is possible in the greatest (but not perfect) country.
Thank you for your service, absolutely! May I ask what instrument you played?
I look this up every year when close to the holidays a little early this year. It always boosts my spirits.
Absolutely beautiful... wish I had been there to see it in person.
Only the human soul, filled with the Grace from Almighty God can produce results like this. Awesome, thank you USAF
Simple beautifully amazing. After all these years, I still come back to this time and time again. It nourishes the heart and the soul 🏴
Speechless. A most beautiful heart rendering performance. I imagine that all those USAF gifted musicians went through basic training, capable of defending their country if need be.
Only a heathen would denounce this. Poor souls.
One of the most
Tranquil and peaceful
Pieces of music ever
Written, my most
Favorite. I enjoy
This video very much...
I am a Air force
Vetran.
Thank you.
My husband is a proud Air Force vet, we both loved this. It exemplifies God and Country.
for you and your husband thank you both for serving our beloved country
Absolutely beautiful! Lovely piece played well and with feeling.
The looks of joy, both on the guests as well as the airmen in the band, is perfection.
Thank you for this beautiful interlude. And may all our military be kept safe and soon reunited with those they love.
Makes me teary-eyed just to watch the low-res video of this. Good thing I wasn't there--I probably would have passed out.
I spent 5 years in the Air Force and loved every minute of it. The USAF band is the best of the service bands!
What a beautiful gift to give to the people; outstanding performance!
Wonderful performance. Glad I wasnt there. Id have been forced to tear up in public.
I tried to fight it. I really did. But at 2:45 when the ladies started singing. I couldn't help but shed a few tears.
What a beautiful moment of worship of our Lord Jesus by Our USAF Band during our Christmas Season 2013.
I love a good flash mob with great music, singing &/or dancing, even though I usually end up tearing up over the grand spectacle (wonderful tears!). I respect and honor the military and appreciate all the sacrifices they and their families make for us… Thank You! I also thank you for sharing such wonderful surprise to the people visiting the National Air and Space Museum. What a thrilling treat for them! Thanks for sharing on CZcams so everyone can enjoy your talents! Bravo to all involved!
there is nothing more delightful than something unexpected and profoundly beautiful
Jesu Joy of Man's desiring.....Lovely. Just in time for the Christmas season.
Brought tears to my eyes. So moving! Thank you thank you thank you! Thank you for ALL YOU DO for your country, for US!
GREATEST PERFORMANCE ON CZcams PERIOD
Astonishing and powerful. The 2014 from the Dulles Air & Space location is also magnificent.
@Hello Steve how are you doing
So nice, thanks to the men and women of the USAF for your service and for this great Christmas treat!
The greatest flashmob ive seen so far. The first song and the transition sound like from the movie Jurassic World
Thank you very much for doing this and thank all of your for your service. GOD Bless.
Watched it about 8,000 times. Fu-cking incredible.
Isn't this wonderful!!!!! Beautiful job!
My fellow Airmen at their best....Thank you!
Thank you Servicemen and Servicewomen -- your sacrifice, as well as your families', does not go unnoticed!! I just hope it keeps being funded. Just look at those decorations -- these folks are not just amazing musicians. They Defend This Nation. God Speed!!
Beautiful music, the singing was enough to bring tears to my eyes. Yes, we need more JOY TO THE WORLD!!
Love & Peace, Elizabeth Basile
Amazing, amazing, amazing! Wonderful choice of music and a perfect arrangement. Thank you for choosing the beautiful traditional music for this event. Well done and Go Air Force!
In 1970, I had the pleasure of playing with the USAF Band in Panama, S.A. It was one of the highlights of my music career! A side by side concert with the Band and the Balboa High School Band and Orchestra.....will never forget it!!!!!
A civilization, a culture that can produce such music. That can present it in such a fashion and do so in just such a public space is worthy of admiration not the repudiation it so routinely suffers.
Really nice job! I appreciate how you took the time to bring a little joy to everyone's day!! God Bless.
This is so fracking beautiful. I am so proud of my USAF.
I've seen this several times over the years and each time my eyes leak!
❤️
Oh , how Wonderfully Beautiful !!!! Thank you for this lovely appearance and your service .
I saw the USAF Band and Army choir perform in a USO show in Iraq...the best live performance I've ever seen!
thanks for your service; I saw Ann Margaret 1968,
Beautiful! I was definitely crying... I love these kind of flash mobs!
Each one of these musicians have sworn to uphold the constitution and protect the American people. ooorah!
First flash mob I've seen with instrumental and voice. I thought this was beautiful and very well done. Great job guys! :)
