    I also have the edge and have done a total of 3 runs in them; a relaxed progressive 10k, a 30k training run and a 1/2 marathon race. I'm not sure why a lot of testers believe they are more suited to the 1/2 and below, I had no issues with these over 30k' and the stability felt better than the Adios Pro 3's they replaced. Can't recommend them enough.

    I’ve seen in some videos that edge works better in 5k/10k paces and sky for half/full marathon pace as they’re firmer than sky and the sky being too squishy when being pushed at 5k/10k pace. Nevertheless I ordered both and expecting them to be delivered this week. Might sell/return whichever I dont like.

      I think you are right there. There is a lot more give especially in the forefoot with the more curved plate in the edge. I think the sky is stiffer but also very bouncy. Thank you, I appreciate it. They are all amazing trainers, such small margins in them all as they are all so good. My opinion would be for a full marathon the Alphafly maybe the slightly better option for the distance as they are more bouncy and the zoom x foam holds up really well for that long distance. However I think the Asics will be amazing too. If you can, try a few on to see what you feel suits your foot better. All the best for the marathon 💪

    @zealouszim Před měsícem +1

    Love the metaspeed but too firm for me after a half marathon. Great shoe for a half and under. I still prefer the Vaporfly for a full marathon as it’s softer for that reason and the better foot lockdown. The Alphafly 3 just felt too soft in the heel when I got tired. I also felt like most of the weight is in the pods so it felt heavier after a long run.

    Several fast marathon runners in my local club (~2:25 to 2:45) have made the switch From Nikes to the Edge Paris and only swear by them now. • @Runningonthemind
      @Runningonthemind  Před měsícem

      I’m not surprised at that, I also know some elite runners that have also done the same. I’ve found the heel to be just as stable as the Nike Vaporfly for sure, in my opinion for so actually. How do you find the Endorphin? I’ve not run in them yet, but would like to give them a go.

      @@Runningonthemind Endorphin Pro 3 and Pro 4 are more racing cruiser in the sense they're not as snappy as the Nikes and are very stable. So if you're looking for a less aggressive carbon plated racing shoes for a marathon with a more traditional built it is a good alternative. I have all 3 shoes compared in this. I ran a 2:47 marathon in the AF3 for my first marathon. Since that race I purchased the edge Paris and have done about 70ks in them on the track in training on speed days.
    I gotta be honest I MUCH MUCH prefer the Alphafly 3 between the two.
