- I spent my whole day from morning until night on the streets of Kuala Lumpur. It's a modern and clean city, but you'll find videos about that everywhere on CZcams. So I decided to show you the local and dirty areas as well where tourists don't want to go.

There are many foreign workers working in Malaysia. Besides Indonesians & Bangladeshis, there are also from Myanmar, Nepal, India, Pakistan, China, Thailand, Philippines & the Arab countries. Maybe that's why the waiter at the chinese restaurant earlier on in the video doesn't understand English or Malay. 😅
Right, i think so...
This guy already been a long time in THAT country. He's already embedded with THAT country culture. The first mistake he did by thinking Malaysia and THAT country are the same. So he always argue rather than asking & learn new culture. For example when he want to order drink, he should asked where can he order the drink. But he did ordered NOOTmeg to the person in charge for sub food stall (different p.i.c) rather to order it from main restaurant. He expects that the guy knew about NOOTmeg
Kuala lumpur is my second home, tidak pernah bosan dengan KL entah itu vibenya dan makanannya,
What activities do you recommend in KL @kindpeople99 ? Maybe some of your favorites?
Nice to see you back in action
Please visit more rural places in the east coast.. Pahang,Terengganu , Kelantan
I'm glad that communication is lot easier here as English is our second language
Yeah tbh I miss having conversations with locals. In KL I almost didn't talk with anyone and Chinese people aren't really talkative (even though they're nice). But my channel's main topic also isn't fancy big cities, so let me try to find some really local areas soon. I'm in Penang right now and later I wanna go to Langkawi and Ipoh too and Malacca.
@@WildCARLOSappeared don't get it wrong about the Chinese, coz in certain places/eatery's mostly having tourist coming from all over the world they are just business minded people but honestly they're very friendly citizen
I'm a Malay Muslim anyway , I hope you enjoy Penang and Langkawi
If any chance we could meet up and I'm happy to show you around my place in Selangor ❤️
Everyone's friendly here so far. But in Germany for example the people also don't smile much and they focus a lot about their job. So it's maybe similar in every developed city in the world. Mh let's see where else in Malaysia I will go 😎
8:26 many workers here are frm myanmar they obviously dont understand malay language hv little to no english
@irishque In Thailand seems to be the same, but I've seen some Myanmar people speak pretty good English there. I'm debating if I should learn Malaysian language here at all or just speak English :D
@@Gymson yes thus im saying tht u wont hv problem wt locals speaking english...the least they will be able to converse in simple english

Malaysia Look Very Interesting
Haha, those were my words when I first came here. If you come from Europe I think its gonna shock you in the beginning if you haven't travelled much. Because its such a diversity of cultures and people here.. Cool place!
Welcome to KL bro. FYI, most restaurant workers/helpers are foreigners from neighbouring countries & they speak min. or no Malay & no English. Thats y they dunt reply to question & juz smile 😅 Whenever u order go direct to the stalls where the owner is.
Because they work in restaurants that sell food from their country.
Haha that's good to know, Malaysia is interesting place.. Some people speak such a good English and some don't speak at all :D And your not even sure what language to speak to them lol :D
Thank you for this video and for your exploratioms in KL. Wonderful.
Thanks for watching, Yasin 🙏🏼
@@WildCARLOSappeared Thank you. 😀
Fantastic Vlog 🤩 and I find Kuala Lumpur interesting in many ways!
Such a diverse culture with Chinese, Malay and Indian influences. Definitely a food haven for me - delicious 😋😍
Also a unique blend of historical and modern architecture which always fascinates me 😉
I think there's a niche for everyone to find and explore. Hope you're enjoying Malaysia and can't wait to watch more soon 😄
Wow glad that you enjoy the video, Zandra ☺️ KL is definitely a nice city and it has a great living standard. I just miss the very local places tbh. Let's see if I can go to such places in Malaysia too 😎
@@WildCARLOSappeared Haha my pleasure! You know I think your content is amazing 🤩
I can definitely see the standard of living is high but I also very honestly miss the authentic and 'down to earth' local places you visit too along with the smiles and laughter 😄
You'll definitely come across these in Malaysia somewhere along your travels and make it your own style 😉
Such a beautiful country 😍🌍
I think I can. Just renting a scooter and driving somewhere randomly for a couple of days maybe 🤘
@@WildCARLOSappeared sounds fantastic and why not? Go for it! 😉😎
Haha same, I also describe it as interesting aswell... :D Such a mix of cultures!
Kuala Lumpur seems like a great place. Hope you had a great experience there.
It's a really amazing city. Definitely one of my choices so far in case I wanna settle down maybe in 10 years 😀
Welcome to Malaysia! Thank you for visiting our country. Come on, don't just walk around town. Let's visit a village that is not far from Kuala Lumpur. Let's come to Jenjarom village, see the atmosphere of the village. Rent a scooter. I really like your videos because they are very entertaining & informative.
Nice, i was actually thinking going there this year. Time for a first impressionen.
I can really recommend Lumpur for a couple of days. And Penang is also really near - good for food ✌️
Selamat datang wild Carlos di malaysia.bersama hari"yg indah di sana semangatt
Normaly, they were foreigners from Nepal or Myanmar who works at Chinese street restaurant. Thats why they don't understand any English or Bahasa that you were talking.
many of the Myanmar workers are camera shy ,..mainly bcoz they might have work permit issues 😅
I still remember i as a malay in kg baru goes to church at the merdeka square to buy cheap shirt and toys which many european and rich people donate it to the church as a boy and at the weekend..

That's horrible when they don't provide tissues their eating place... most place provide tissues. Their workers mostly non Malaysian..their can't communicate.. sorry for u.. don't have to go there again😁
Hm yeah, but I think you can just clean your hands in the toilet instead 😄
8:42 I was also shocked that he seemed to understand but apparently he didn't, dia orang mana si bang ?
@@Itsvivx99 foreign worker maybe, seem he not understand Malay language properly...🫤

I went to Batu Caves recently ✌️ and I will try Nasi Lemak soon 🤗
Many indon worker in malaysia bro, so u not feel lonely visit here 😀👌
Oh really?! But how can I know they're Indonesians? 😀
I don't like you using the word indon. because it is tantamount to degrading my country Indonesia. Please check on Google the meaning of the word Indon, be wiser in commenting
@@PilgrimEthwhat about indon using the word malingsia or malasia?
@@PilgrimEth I am apologise on his behalf. Even me myself Malaysian didn't call Indonesian "Indon" because it's not a proper. Most of Malaysian likes to call "Indon" instead of in full.

OMG face not Nationality .. look BANGLADESH, INDIA, BURMA … Come Kg baru malay area. they don't represent malaysians, malaysians are clean, cheap with smiles and friendly
Setuju sancta. Menyedihkan bila kebanyakan orang dia jumpa tak mesra dan tak faham apa dia cakap. Most of Malaysian know English and Malay, we speak most of this 2 language daily in Malaysia...
Most migrant workers are not camera friendly because they perhaps not legally been here or document issues.
roti or capati comes with kuah (gravy). That guy tried to give you the spicy gravy from the beef curry, but you stopped him too quick.
Great tourist selfies!
Haha this place was filled with people taking selfies and camera guys trying to sell you pictures :D:D

@WildCARLOSappeared haha..OK, I thought maybe you got a little bit cheeky with a local and they took offence 🤣🤣🤣
Not yet 😬

Carlos, I think you got cheated. The first guy said white rice & veggie is RM5. You took 100plus can drink, should be RM3. How come the 2nd guy charge you RM10? There is not way 100plus is RM5.
Yeah I noticed that right away, but I didn't wanna discuss about the prices tbh 😀

Wow. The restaurant didn't prepare the tissues, and instead want us to buys it ?
Yeah, maybe that's normal in Chinese restaurants in Kuala Lumpur or in whole Malaysia. I'm not sure yet. But I was a bit shocked, cause that was the first time that a restaurant told me that I would have to buy my tissues
It's a little strange why everyone in Malaysia doesn't use Malay as an daily language? and some of them doesn't understand
There are plenty of Chinese people as well. And pakistani and bangladeshi communities too. Maybe they don't really need English in their daily lifes
@@WildCARLOSappeared well, we hope Malaysia has an official daily language to communicate each other 😊✌

Beruntung tinggal di Indonesia ternyata masih lebih ramah orang2 Indonesia tohh
Engga juga ga semua ramah

Kamu sudah coba? 🙏🏼
People are helpful but in Indonesia they're friendlier wkwkwkwk
You missed seeing the island of Borneo :(
I have to visit some local places as well in Malaysia. Big cities are nice; but it can be too touristic and that's not what I usually want to explore ✌️
There are many foreign workers working in Malaysia. Besides Indonesians & Bangladeshis, there are also from Myanmar, Nepal, India, Pakistan, China, Thailand, Philippines & the Arab countries. Maybe that's why like the waiter at the chinese restaurant earlier on in the video, he doesn't understand English or Malay. 😅
carlos.. can you believe it, your audience won't be as big as when you make videos in Indonesia.😊
Just wait when I'm in India soon 😂
That because so many tourists make the same videos as well, so the netizens have a many choices to follow which one have a diffrent view of thier blogs.. means, no wonder if we can see some people only watching without to like it and a few of population does not like to give thier responses about the same idea...
Malaysia negara keren salam dari Indonesia
I feel bad for you when you asked the lady about the 3 tiers tea or something and she totally ignored you, I feel like she was kind of rude 😕
Most probably she is a foreign worker, couldn't understand English.. M
I think she was just nervous cause she didn't understand English. On the other hand it's totally unacceptable for me, cause that's not customer oriented at all. Instead of finding a solution, she just focused on the problem ('I cannot speak English'). But I have to admit that I could have better explained it to her with my hands and arms and been a bit more patient 😊 And I had a camera too, maybe it made her even more confused.
Do agree. Not even smile. And the bus driver too, I feel ashamed as Malaysian. Can't denied when most of Indonesian condemning Malaysian not friendly.
@@omarsomarsahid6469 most of peoples Carlos met are NOT Malaysian, that's they either can't speak Malay or English.

I don't live in Indonesia. I will travel the world instead ✌️
Great vlog, Carlos, as always. However, I've noticed a difference in the friendliness and warmth between Malaysian and Indonesian people in your recent vlogs. I'm currently in Jakarta, and I can confidently say that Indonesians are incredibly welcoming and friendly. I constantly see people with smiles on their faces, greeting you warmly and always ready to lend a helping hand.
Ga usah membanding2 kan, itu lebih baik
Thanks for your great feedback! I feel the same. At least I have only been to Kuala Lumpur and Penang. I don't wanna be offensive to anyone, but so far in my experience Indonesian people are definitely more open, relaxed, friendly and they smile more. But the 'native' Malay people that I've met here were super friendly too. Maybe it's because the Chinese people don't talk too much and they're mostly business oriented. Not sure, but I will travel to some other places in Malaysia soon and then I can make another conclusion. And I have heard that the Malaysian people in Sabah were extremely friendly. I want to check out this place too, but not now 😎
Kenapa nak compare? Every country have own culture..
Soalan byk sangat. Not everyone like to be recorded.
Malaysians value space and privacy, end of story. We also live comfortably that we don't have to put on a friendly mask to accost and hustle tourists the way they do. If our people, even kids, make a habit of swarming tourists just to ask them to buy this and that, you can be assured the rest of us will shame and admonish such people. While we are happy to help once approached, don't mistake our reluctance to encroach your space as us being unfriendly. What a way of backward thinking this is. Stranger danger, especially those who are not shy to take advantage of you because of your skin colour!
Those are pickled chilli, not spicy. So i think its fine for your stomach.
