Can't stress enough how important it is to have a skatepark to keep you away from other unhealthy activities. Does hurt to watch them shred it with that much water around but it dont rain year round.
A lot of bad happens at skateparks aswell.

@@Chyeahokay Bad things happen everywhere; churches, schools, supermarkets, your own home. Skateparks are definitely a better alternative to hanging around in the streets, that's for sure.
People can still skate and do other "unhealthy activities"
@@cooluser4017 I grew up skateboarding from age 12-18 and not once was I offered weed, alchohol or any other other substance.

We need a skatepark in every town
It's so great to see these quality parks being built. There are some elite, world class parks here in the Pacific Northwest and it's great see. What a win for the community.
I don't even skate anymore but I love to see new parks being built all around the country. More activities for kids to do and stay out of trouble since skateboarding is a crime in most places , and people view skaters as a nuisance and get treated badly but don't provide anywhere for people to skateboard freely.

@@WickedGames7 I've been out of the skating scene for like 15 years, but regardless my comment holds true, more and more skateparks are popping up and I think that's a good thing. Don't comment if you're just going to be a douchebag towards someone's positivity for no reason .

@@WickedGames7lol I was mostly joking but yeah man people are just hateful in general always looking for an excuse to start fights whether it’s you skateboarding or going too slow on the road or posting a comment in YT. I went to jail a few years ago for fighting so I try not to get into arguments on electronic devices as making terroristic threats over an electronic device is a felony but I was 25 five years ago and people treated me different when I was skateboarding as to when I wasn’t it was mostly older dudes though who wanted to start a fight or argument probably because they were going through something personal with their girl or wife

It rains almost every day in Florida, and nobody skates in the rain. Most journalist don’t realize much better tricks and presentation is presented on a skateboard without water involved. Maybe they will learn to kick turn, rock to fakie, or a inward pressure flip.

Jeeeez, I come from a time when cops would literally harass us cus of skateboarding. So nice to see people have finally realized the value of this sport/art. 😎
Wish we had this when I was 16. We had to build our own stuff and bring it to our tennis court no one used the tennis court. We even had a local welder make us some grind rails. Now I’m 38 and the next town over 20 mins away just got a new concrete skate park. I’m 20 years to late 😩

I’ve been waiting for this since like Jan of 2022
There used to be some heinous parks back in the day. Really steep concrete bowls. Some long snake runs with shallow bowls too. That was before street skating evolved but even then there was a long period. I haven't skated much in 20+ years but I think about it every day.
