The photography, music, emotion, the horse, her reactions, Redford's reaction, her parents reactions my crying
Really good movie, well made and acted. Good for the mind and body.
@@donaldmackillop6736 I'm not doing anything with horses I don't have to do anything I don't wanna do people like that I don't like it but I tried horseriding it ain't me I got unhappy with the horse not wanting me on its back
I don't think most people really can understand this scene unless they have actually loved a horse enough as a companion and felt the power and fidelity of their spirit.
love is universal. not just horses
I used to have my own horse when I was younger. We had the closest bond. Very much like Grace and Pilgrim in the beginning scene of the film. I love and miss him every day. He died from cancer when i was 20. RIP Becker.
@@frickpoo6644 a horses love is something else....is what they are saying. you ride and communicate without speaking. theyhave to trust you and u have to trust them. they are massive animals that can easily you out. they are so amazing and once the connection is established between rider and horse… Unbreakable bond. they are like big dogs but show their love a different way lol! just because love is universal doesn’t mean you know the feeling of loving a horse or being loved by one.
Just nonsense, now matter how much some horse owners/lovers think or say so. It's not an exclusive club, that some would have it. Just another kind of exclusive snobbery. Many , many people who love horses and animals generally don't feel compelled to come out with trite baloney like that.
I never loved a horse..I only have got a dog but I am crying every time when I see this scene..
Truly amazing. Both overcame their trauma and fear from the accident to trust each other again.
@@ken45y horses are big and dangerous I have no respect for horses anymore who loves being told what to do
Robert Redford is as great a director as he is an actor. Such a handsome man who is well beyond mere looks. An artist, an environmentalist, an activist who puts his money where his mouth is, a philanthropist. A producer of movies with meaning and substance, not one who goes after an easy buck. Deep, intelligent and articulate. And that glorious head of hair to this day. So much respect and admiration for this man.
I hate him because he support infedlity.
*And that glorious head of hair to this day* - I've got this bridge for sale... you can buy it and set up tolls on both ends.... whaddya think?
Everything you say Sally is right on the button. I have enormous admiration for Robert Redford and if i was forced to pick a favourite film of his it would be this one.
One of the most powerful scenes in cinema history.
I was forced to watch this stupid butt movie I don't like it but I'm not doing anything with horses anymore I'm out
this scene always makes me cry I love it so much :')
so sad
Uh, this.....THIS is my FAVOURITE scene in any film. The smile on Grace's face when she was cantering on Pilgrim again. And when Pilgrim moved his ears to the forward position...that was the moment that he knew he was safe and he was able to gain trust again. Such a beautiful scene that makes me cry. This is my all time favourite film ever.
Thank you for posting this scene. Beautiful. X
I don't want to ride a horse okay it's just a cruel sport ps I quit my stupid riding lessons for good I was forced to ride a horse with a bit it's the horses fault not mine I hate horse riding sometimes it's not fun for me
@@DariaHarruff Oooo...kay? Did I ask you? 😂😂 How is it the horses fault you don't like horse riding? You must be fun at parties.🤣
@@MissGarland1986 I was asked to take riding lessons I hated it I'm sick of it I ridden horses long enough since then I don't like it at all as much it doesn't excite me anymore
@@DariaHarruff What do you mean "doesn't excite me anymore"? By that comment you must have some sort of interest for it.
@@MissGarland1986 I thought I did but I decided I wasn't having fun riding a horse it's not fun for me I'm sorry that I can't get happy with horseriding because of bits and people
I love this movie. I cry every time.
because u are a real woman
Me tooooo! Just Beautiful 😭🐴
Story of PILGRIMS AND GRACE
No kidding a great story , a great cast, a great film director -it’s a story about love , healing courage and patience and hope .powerful scene . The horse was the star 😉
this was an unforgettable movie where a cast of great actors, in an exquisite display of their talents, tell beautiful story about compassion and empathy and the ability of the human spirit and animal spirit to overcome adversity. thanks for the post
My best childhood memory is a cowboy setting me up on a big horse and letting me ride around our homeplace while the guy lead him. That was the most gentle horse and good memory and I think that's why I love horses so much. Really enjoyed this movie! KGM ❤ 💯
Thanks for loving my comment! It's good to read my comment to remember what I wrote. Thanks for your reading it. KGM
I was a severely injured ten years ago. My horse spooked at a jump, reared and fell back on top of me. Broke both hips, six ribs, my right arm, multiple internal injuries. Lacerated liver etc. Helicopter ride to the hospital. Six months in external fixators, and a many months of recovery later, I was walking again. I rode again a year after my accident. I felt all the emotions Grace was portraying when I rode again. My life almost ended, but I never quit missing and loving my horse. ❤️🐎🧲🐴
The music at 0:47 makes me well up every time. Such a beautiful film. I really love Robert Redford's appreciation for horses.
Grace didn't put her arms up because she had to, she wanted to...It was in her...She had reached that moment of Victory & Gratitude! Most people look at that as a form of "Worship", but that's not what I see...there's a big difference between thinking you have to, and just wanting to!
I was 25 when this came out and saw this amazing looking girl for the first time and figured she'd be a big star some day because how could she not be a big star and that's kind of how it turned out.
There is a unique & special bond of trust between a horse and rider that transcends all other relationships
I cry n cry everytime
When this movie came out everybody was crying in the movie theater and this song right here were little girl in the horse overcome their fear and regain their trust in each other this is the scene where everybody including movie staff members were crying in a good way and when Graceland regained the horses Trust everybody was still crying but they were cheering they were doing the Arsenio Hall cheer with their arm I still cry every time I see this movie
Hauntingly beautiful score.
Horses are my favorite animal, but I love this movie.
I love this movie and Robert Redford. He did an awesome job
I loved a horse named Jethro.......He wasn't mine.......But we did belong to each other.......RIP Jethro
I cry every time I see this scene.
Annie should have stayed with Tom. He would have been a wonderful step-father to Grace and they were both a lot more comfortable and at peace on the ranch. Just my two sense, though. Love this movie. ❤️
The book had a terrible, stupid ending. While I agree with you, this is better than the book.
Only forever love will survive the test of eternity
aww i love the determination on her face at 20sec
COSE KE CAPITANO
this part always always makes me cry
especially because i have a horse who looks exactly like Pilgrim/Hightower
They used 7 different horses in the horse whisperer
This horse loves his rider so much he tried to protect her to the point of him getting hurt. The bond between horse and rider is unbreakable
made me cry when i saw it
Me too and right now :') Love it! Thank you Cimbora for this
Yes...Brilliant...!!
Thank you for the Great video
I cry every time during this scene.
so sad
I gave my Boston Terrier a bunch of love after watching this.
this is a good scene
This horse is also in Black Beauty and Runaway bride
best scene...
Ótimo dia a você!
Onions, sandstorms, cats, everything. My eyes are streaming.
The perfect step-father
❤❤❤
A fantastic movie.
The best scene
Possibly the best film ever .......
Aww
Amo este fiume
My favorite movie. Robert Redford was brilliant in this movie.
A classic......the music fits like a glove for this scene, this song isn't included on the CD Soundtrack......can't believe it.
Anyone know whose playing piano? James Newton Howard?
Liberace
Look at young Natasha rominoff aka black widow.
At the end when she leaned over to pet pilgrim I had forgotten that he was her horse and not Tom's. As the whole movie played out it appeared that pilgrim was Tom's horse cause Tom took care of him.
Bella historia
I guess Vasily got to see Montana after all.
Quand on aime on laisse libre !
Amo muito estre ator
I do know that it is movie and we the poor lovers of Animals love it.
I
@Fafalina500 me too :) this is my favourite part
KST❤
Can somebody tell me why I can't find that Soundtrack anywhere? Not even on Spotify :(((
I have been reading this book. But about this scene; did her leg just magicaly grow back ir som' ??
Doesn’t she end up with The main character in the book?? In the movie she went home to her husband.
🌸🐴🧖🏻♀️
I remember this..... submission bullshit...this is not being a Horseman....this is cruelty.
My favourite scene...! =)
what he did is called an endorphin tap or flipping a horse. to see it actually happen for the first time on a hortse it isn't this pretty and sure isn't this quick. any of the parelli fanatics would scream abuse.
i made more then 100 horses saddlebreak,(in Europe) when the horses is ready , the horseman fall in a amty hole, the people tank you and going hom, with the horse, and that s it
hahaha...Brrruuhhahahhahaha
why do they want to ride horses so much you know? there are cars, motorcycles, f16's..
I guess you have the clearance and the money to be able to fly an F16? I've had motorcycles, cars and pickup trucks but a fighter jet?
The training in this movie is horrible, no respect for the horse
Me too and right now :') Love it! Thank you Cimbora for this
