iPad Air 13" Don't BE FOOLED!

- I thought the new iPad Air was going to be just another boring iPad upgrade with less features than my old iPad Pro, however, I was pleasantly surprised in a few areas where the Air actually turned out to be a nicer experience... and others where I missed my Pro...

God am I sick of “DON’T BE FOOLED!”, “DON’T CHOOSE WRONG!” and “DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!” thumbnails. They probably get engagement but man, is it tiresome. Edit: Greg makes awesome content and I’ve been a subscriber for years.
Sorry
I’d like to add all forms of the word “Reveal” to your list
These comments are tiresome.
I love these videos.
I actually like it it’s his signature thing 😂
No, it’s most definitely played out and extremely unoriginal.
Upgraded my wife’s M1 Air with the 11” M2 Air since she loves Procreate and was intrigued by the new Apple Pencil Pro features. She didn’t want the 13” model since it would be too big for using it in bed or traveling. She gave me her M1 Air and as someone whose never had one before I am liking it. I’m a screen snob and we have all OLED LG TVs in our house but the LCDs Apple uses are pretty good. Aside from really dark scenes I think even the M1 Air is great for basic stuff and media consumption. I think a lot of people would be served well by saving money on the older model if they don’t have to have the fancy new Apple Pencil.
Bought the 13" Air today and I love it. I use mine for online school, gaming, streaming movies, streaming podcasts, listening to music, and reading. I don't use any keyboard or the Apple Pencil. 3 things that I really like are the speed, battery life, and light weight. 2 things I don't like are Touch ID and the speakers. I have basically solved the speakers issue by using my AirPods or a Bluetooth speaker. Touch ID is just going to take getting used to. The iPad Pro is a better tablet overall but the Air is the better value for the price
Is it really that muffled and poor as he said?
You should’ve honestly bought the M2 12.9 inch Pro. Could’ve gotten that for about the same price or less I bet
@@ays5236I haven’t noticed anything muffled when listening to audio. The Pro has 4 total speakers and the Air has 2 speakers so the Pro is louder
@@emilsecker7881I own the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Galaxy S8+ tablet and both have a 120Hz OLED screens. I don’t see a big difference in my day to day usage. I was able to trade in my 2018 11” iPad Pro for $330 so my 2024 13” Air was under $600…that’s a steal for a big screen tablet. If you or anyone else wants to spend $1,000 on a tablet…go right ahead
I have the 13 inch air and the speakers are just fine. I don’t really noticed the muffling. It gets loud enough when listening to music and watching movies.
Saving up for this OLED M4 bad boy, right now using the A12Z ipad pro
Quality comment. Save up for it. Don’t go overboard to get it
Good luck. I used Apple gift cards for trading in an older iPhone and iPad and my Apple Cash towards the M4 iPad Pro.
Stick with the 4th gen. It’s still a beast. I have one
I was upgrading from my 2018 11 inch iPad Pro, so I wanted the CPU boost with the m2. Decided on the 13 inch air versus the 11 inch. Arrives tomorrow!
The accessories question would be far less of an issue for you if you started considering things like the Logitech Combo Touch. Cheaper, modular design where keyboard and case can be separated, function row, larger trackpad than old Magic Keyboard design, protects the iPad’s sides, kickstand, etc.
Exactly! 3rd party keyboard cases are the way to go. I’m guessing he doesn’t want to mention any 3rd party accessory makers unless they sponsor him.
@@SalivatingSteve I think the more simple explanation is that he doesn’t care unless it’s Apple. I like a lot of his coverage but the lack of interest for some stuff beyond “first party” is a little bit detrimental to the consumer.
I have a combo touch and the logitech pencil both great better value in NZ where US dollars doubles the price of all apple products
Just picked up the 10. I do see ur point on screen size and performance value ratio🤔
Do all Apple Pencil Pro functions work on there or is there something withold for iPad Pro users? Also if you want a little cheaper Apple Pencil for this I think it supports the USB-C model (the Pro for some reason doesn't). Yeah that the key board for this does not have function keys is a bumber specially if you consider that the one of the regular iPad does. That said I am not in the tablet market and I am more of an Andriod guy but I played with the configuration of this iPad more then with that of the Pro. Also you can upgrade this thing to a decent storage option (512 GB or more) without paying a ton (it is still a lot but not so much as for the Pro or Macs right?).
I have an iPad mini 5. I have enjoyed the small form factor but the 11 inch Air would be more capable especially for multitasking and with smaller bezels only a bit bigger in the hand. The relatively good price makes an upgrade tempting.
In my opinion 11 inch isn’t a great size. It’s not small and portable enough for reading and quick browsing and it’s not large enough for productivity. It’s kind of in the middle.
@@AnastasiaM-zh2ck interesting, I was just using my mini with a cheap 3rd party pencil, and definitely wanted as much space as possible, but I also saw a video where someone was saying 13” air was the best choice but also that it was unwieldy and would need a keyboard! I see what you mean but it might be much handier than a 13’
@@Owl54321 I’d use 13 inch for PDF annotation, notes, work and other stuff like that. The mini is great for quick browsing, books, watching a quick CZcams video etc. It’s super portable for traveling. So I feel I need both!
@@AnastasiaM-zh2ck Both? You are Apple's favourite customer! haha
@@tropico56I already got both (mini in the mail still). It’s not a big problem as I use iPad for work too.
The new pencil and features alone is enough to get digital artists to consider upgrading to either the M2 Air or Pro. For artists on a budget, starting with the M2 Air is a really compelling package. I'm a visualy impaired digital artist who's been using the 8th gen basic and First Gen pencil. Now I have the option the large screen plus enhanced haptic feedback, all with VoiceOve and full screen magnifyr for accessibility.. I've already started saving, and now working on ways to reach that goal faster!
Just get the M2 iPad Pro. You can get that for a bit less I bet
I’m intrigued.
How do you became a digital artist if you are a VI I know you mentioned using the zoom feature but isn’t it very tedious with the elements on the screen blowing up extremely big.
@@Aviation_tech441 I was a regular artist before advancing down the sight loss spectrum.. I'm careful to work within the constraints of what's comfortable; ; using the multi finger double screen tap to toggle between a set zoom point and fullscreen mode does not add to the mental workload any longer. Still get disoriented unexpectedly but the reasons for that are unavoidable. My mental acuity needs to meet a certain threshold for me consider a higher level task like that. Thanks for asking, btw, hope you are having a wonderful week.

Ayy, hope you enjoy it.
@@GregsGadgets thank you. It will be a nice upgrade from my 2018 iPad Pro.
2tb?
@@krizjamz9823 no, 512 GB. I bumped it up from 256 GB. 2 TB is too much storage. I have 1 TB on my MacBook Pro 😂
What about the iPad Pro M2? Would you recommend the new 13" Air over the last 13" Pro with M2 chip?
I just got Purple Air 13 inch delivered. I have to say I am happy with it overall. This Air now allows you to have a 13 inch iPad without having to pay for Pro. Like you said, 60hz screen is better than I expected. 2 speaker audio is pretty decent. Finger print sensor does not bother me. I picked up a 3rd party Magic Keyboard imitator at $79 and it works well enough. I have a 3rd party cheap pencil that works with this iPad Air and that is fine. I just need it to sign document and do some rudimentary pointing and drawing. I am glad I did not go for the Pro.
I use a 3rd party pencil too with my iPad 9th gen with a basic case. If needed, I’ll share my Mac mini’s mouse & keyboard via Universal Control.
Or just buy a used iPad Pro m2 🤷🏽♂️

I think there’s a quiet portion of Apple users that don’t use keyboards with the Air at all, I have the m2 15inch MacBook Air have no desire for the keyboard accessory also makes this an attractive proposition for leisure photo editing and kicking back with a big screen in hand.
Yes you are wrong in assuming that.
I have the iPad Pro 12.9 inch with the M1 Processor. I probably won't get another iPad until this one can no longer receive the latest iPadOS or if the Battery no longer supplies a decent length of power.
I went to apple and looked at the pro 11 versus air 11. The pro is not worth 400 more. Save your money and get the air
ok boss.
Just get the 11 inch 2022 pro!
@@mo8797even if it has more features, no one wants to get a old refurbished iPad shipped in some box. I would rather spend it on the newest iPad as we all don’t need pro features
I checked the screen of pro vs air in the store and didn’t notice much difference either. Air’s screen is great
@@mo8797came here to say that. Anyone who buys an air model is a fool. Buy last years pro model instead of the current year air. Youll still be getting a better products. The air model suckss
You mentioned video editing here. Do you think that you NEED the pro in that case? I am really torn between the two devices for this reason alone.
No you definitely don’t need the pro for video editing, the M2 is really capable.
I wonder how the prices of the new air compare to the discounted price of a refurbished iPad Pro M2? 🤔
Maybe a video comparing them would be useful 👍
I saw the 5th gen Air new on Amazon for $399 which is kinda nuts.
Apple: Removes Apple stickers for environmental reasons
Also Apple: Sells three different kinds of Keyboards and lithium ion Apple Pencils.
Greenwashing is an investment scam.
They are doing the bare minimum to "protect" the environment.
One of Worst things Apple did for environment is remove the headphone jacks and go full throttle on encouraging wireless headphones/earbuds.
They could make biodegradable stickers out of algae. Apple is so phony and hypocritical on the ‘eco’ end.
And also sell a new pencil in terms of compatibility...
@@user_es1 if only they sold recycled wooden pencils that would work on their screens then it would be a little more eco friendly…..still they’d want $49.99 for the wooden pencil that works like any other #2pencil
I have a 2018 12.9 (battery issues) and a 2021 M1 12.9 Pro--not upgrading this year but really interested in the 12.9 Air. In another year or so when I upgrade, think the 12.9 Air will be sufficient (use a Pencil and Magic keyboard so an upgrade of those too). I listen to Ipad with airpods or earphones so speaker doesn't make any difference either. Lack of face ID will be annoying but for the difference in price--expect I can get used to it--and in a year or so--they may change that too in the Air.
Just picked mine up yesterday, I got the Air 13". So far I love it my old Air is still great but I wanted a bigger screen for drawing. I think for me the pro would have been too much for what I really need it for.
oh and the color starlight looks grey to me lol
I stuck between starlight and space grey… because in certain lights I like the gold silver starlight color, but the space grey also looks like a darker silver…
The Apple Pencil usb also works with the new air.
but does it stick to the iPad?
in the video he said only pencil pro sticks to 13 iPad air
I would like to see an honest comparison with the older A14 iPad now at $350. Especially to the new iPad Air. I just don't think I need that much computing power in an iPad.
I picked the 13” iPad Air yesterday and I love it. It was worth wanting for, coming from an iPad 6! I wanted a wow factor and got it without that high price of the pro model.
Hey @GregsGadgets What you think about the latest reported bug about the new update (17.5)? Photos that were deleted years ago are reappearing in people's photo albums.
That is crazy 😬
I just bought the MacBook Air M3 15" and the iPad Air and they're superb products. I feel like I am a user that does a little more than an average user, but maybe not quite enough to get the MBP or the iPad Pro, so for me the Air models are ideal and I can save some coin doing it!
Lol same I got the air m2 13 inch with 1 terabyte so it can last me for some years. For the air did you get the 13 or 11 inch and how much storage did you get. I’m trying to see what I should get to see if I need more storage or less.
If you had a 12.9” M2 iPad Pro, would you get the new 13” iPad Air? I really don’t want to spend the money on a new Pro. Also, I only use it for browsing and streaming. lol. Advice?
_why would you get the new 13" iPad Air when you've already had 12.9" M2 iPad Pro? A bit lighter, 0.1" screen size bigger (but actually it's still 12.9"), landscape front cam, pencil pro, more color options, touch ID over FaceID, 60Hz display over 120Hz, wide cam over wide cam plus ultra wide cam, 2 speakers over 4 speakers? For me there is no reason to do that_
@@ksasea thank you for that. I figured that would be the case.
Gosh that finger print sensor is so far away on the 13" iPad Air.... I would have bought thew new Magic Keyboard if it was compatible with the new iPad Air but it's not, so I went with the Combo Touch Keyboard.
I’m literally watching this on my iPad Air 5 (M1 air) and except for the camera,M2 chip and the gb I don’t see many differences and why exactly did the colours get worse than before
You don’t need to upgrade iPads every year. I usually upgrade iPhones every 2 years and iPads every 4 years. You won’t see much difference otherwise
Awesome video! I do believe that is a good value tablet. I’ve had the same iPad Pro since 2019 and it is showing. I’m anxious to see how long it takes for Apple Store to run out of the new product. I haven’t made it to the Apple to pick up my new device. I do have the money ready to go. I am definitely looking at the iPad Air 11 inch model. I’m glad it comes with one terabyte of storage. That will definitely hold my iTunes collection.
Question, please. With this iPad Air can you ignore the Touch ID. and gain access by using a numeric code ? If the iPad is family shared then a numeric code for entry is preferable whereas Touch ID just would not work.
I was interested in the 13” air, but there’s a lot of refurb M1 iPad Pros available for the same price, guess I’m visiting a store now.
Refurbs are always a good idea
I’m sticking with my 12.9 M1 but if I was buying a iPad today I think it would be the 13 Air, the Pro is just too expensive for what you get at this time but that will change as different vendors start offering discounts
I’m Using the iPad Peo 11 A12z for video editing , I’m still happy with it but..
Wondering Should I change to iPad Air M2 ?
@GregsGadgets , can you use the Apple Smart Folio case from older 12.9 pros? Similar to how you can use the old mkb 12.9s for the air?
I don’t see why not, it’s pretty much the same body as the old 12.9 pro
Love your reviews. I bought a 2024 11” am taking it back to the Apple store and buying a 2024 13” Air. I also own a 2020 13” iPad Pro. _Do you notice any big difference in terms of drawing on an iPad Air 60Hz display and an iPad Pro 120Hz display? I'm using an iPad for drawing, and the 60Hz display is my main concern with the iPad Air. The M4 iPad Pro is overpriced for me, so the M2 iPad Air would be the perfect choice if there is no concern about the drawing experience_
The 120hz will be most noticeable when you watch movie or playing games since there's movement. The pictures is a bit sharper. If you just use for drawing, you won't notice the different, since there's no motion going on. Your hand motion for drawing isn't consider movie/animation.I don't even know who the target market for the iPad Pro (since the mac desktop/laptop are more suitable for this heavy duty professional work) other than people will lot of cash to burn, the iPad air should be sufficient for your need. My two cents.
@@n.heroep2786 _tks for sharing this with me. Now I could easily make my decision_
I finally figured why I don’t use my iPad as often as I’d like. I have the medium size 10.9 iPad Air 2020. It’s great and still fast but it’s not small enough and lightweight for reading or quick access and it’s not large enough to use a second screen or do some productivity. So my setup going forward: iPad mini 6 + 13 inch iPad. Just ordered mini 6 on sale (from Amazon) and going to trade in my air 2020 and get new air 13. I’d love to get the pro, but I’m not a super intense user and can’t justify the $1299+ for the pro
Great follow-up to your first video about the new iPad Air vs. Pro models. I myself have a 2020 iPad Pro with the A12 bionic chip-set, so the option to go to the Air with the 13" screen was a no-brainer for me. Got a great trade-in deal for my old Pro, and it should be here in the next couple of days. Bummer that my Apple Pencil 2nd Gen won't work on the new Air, not cool Apple.
Hi how much storage did you get for your air
@@jenniferjuarez595 I got the 256GB model. I don't use a lot of my space, and I try to save very large files temporarily and then moving to a small backup drive.
Patiently waiting for wwdc before I decide I’m rocking an M1 iPad Air which is good but now I’ve started using it for video editing and found ways to do data analytics on it and some standard python work, I may go all in on iPad Pro but it’s serious wedge compared to a MacBook Air curious what will be updated in the OS and there is always the anticipation of a pro mini looming. Apple does a good job of making you stall purchasing dreaming of the next iteration. Nice video Greg enjoyed it
My Gen 4 IPad is still amazing for drawing and sketching, Sketchbook/Procreate, etc. We are lucky to live in such times we have these things.
If I upgrade, for the new pencil mainly, I'd get the Air, OLEDs burn in and degrade when there's static features like toolbars on the screen.
Thank you. but You have two iPads, a 13-inch Air and a Pro.
I think it would be helpful to compare and record sounds using music such as symphonies, classical music, and ballads and play them to viewers. There are no proper comparison videos on CZcams.
thank you! I just went through this dilemma / discussion with apple sales and with the Canadian costing of $1600 for a ipad 13 512gb vs almost $2500 ( ayfkm?!) for the pro - I downgraded from my current pro. Unfortunately I AM that person who likes a warmer display (but thats fixable with night mode and white point balace) but the speakers were my biggest concern. We'll see when it finally lands, but hoping for the best. Thanks for all the extra info and great channel.
You forgot about the display resolution on the 13Inch is 2048p. Compared to the 11Inch
I like the portability and all day usage on one charge , I just have an ipad air M1 no video editing , I do work on it though and find it perfect . I just use a secondary supplier case and keyboard half the price of apples I find it works fine or the onscreen is also adequate for short bursts . I find the pro stuff and mac air really hyped for the average use case extra power is only required for creative users apparently . I have not come across anything I don’t like about the M1 air
Logitech makes very good keyboards with function keys for iPads.
I still use a $15 Bluetooth keyboard w/ function keys that originally purchased in 2012 for my iPad 2.
Does it come with wi-fi ?
Honestly I was super excited about the new iPad line up. Anticipation mounted with the delays but this soon changed to disappointment. Yes it’s faster (again). Yes a new size for the air. But as someone with a 2020 pro which other than the chip is the same and in many ways better than the air and without any significant differences in terms of performance when it comes to 90% of the usage against the new Pro, I’m just not seeing a compelling reason to upgrade.
Let’s see if WWDC provides a reason…….
i upgraded from an 8th gen to this thing which was obviously an amazing upgrade, although i do miss my headphone jack
does the ipad air have an oled? I thought that was only on the new PRO
Nope

Very nice review and comparison video Greg! My needs are simple as far as my iPad usage go. I may instead go for the iPad Air in the future since they come in the larger size. Besides the iPad Mini (which I love), I like the larger size better and tend to use my iPads like a smaller light-duty laptop.
Considering the Logitech Touch like smart alternative. It is a very very good produc and cheaper
Mentioning The Touch ID around the 5:30 mark my brain 404’d and made me wonder how do you take screenshots on a pro?
You can do a single swipe from left lower corner for screenshots, that is if you enable it from your settings.
Got a 256GB 2022 12.9” M2 iPad Pro for under $1k. MiniLED + Tbolt port are more than worth it but also has better cameras, better speakers, Pencil 2 compatibility, and better (Logitech Combo Touch) keyboard. The 13” Air is just a gap-filler for pricing on Apple’s part IMO.
That's still available for sale?
I just got the pro m4 and the double knuckle oled display doesn’t look any better than my old gen 4 pro that 4 years old. Don’t waste your money unless you are doing heavy apps that need the m4 power.
Refurbished 13” M1 iPad Pro or M2 Air for the same price? I do not need the extra power, I can barely tell the difference in power between my personal MacBook, which is an M2 and my work computer, which is an M1. I highly doubt I would ever notice the power in an iPad, and honestly if it weren’t for the bigger screen size, I think the standard entry-level iPad would be more than enough for me.
I had an old 12.9 inch Pro (ver 2), and have wanted a larger iPad again. I can't afford the Pro, so this was perfect for me. I love it. I was disappointed with the blue color. I had ordered purple, and then 'thought' I saw the blue which was like an aqua color. But no, it's grey. I put a purple cover on it, and you would never know. Your last comment about 'shell out more money'. Some of us just don't have that kind of spending money to buy the pro anymore, so I am more than happy with the Air, and then returning my old iPads to Apple for a few $$.
I own the iPad Air 4th generation, when they finally adopted the current design instead of the older one on the iPad Air 3rd generation. I bought it for the Apple Pencil 2 and handed my iPad Air 3 to my brother, and honestly aside from not having the gold color I loved anymore I had no regrets. I had some small urges over getting a larger iPad Pro just for the bigger size and luxury of making notes easier - I'm a heavy Goodnotes user for studies and work, and I don't use a keyboard attached to it. This 13" iPad Air is probably the one I'll upgrade to if I pull the trigger. My current iPad Air still does the job well and can continue to serve me for a long time coming, but it'd actually be nice to not feel the pain of writing notes by the far edge of the iPad.. it's uncomfortable and does get me to not write properly there as well.
I better start saving up I guess. 😂
I have the original 2015 12.9 Pro. The monster still works with the original battery. I think you should stay with the 11. The 12.9 is just plain awkward. I use it when sitting at the kitchen table. It can stand up then. It’s even too big for lap use. My 2020 11 inch Air is my primary. I don’t use my mini much either, but it is good for travel.
You got fooled. I looked at them today at the Apple Store. The new air screen looks the same as my 2020 Air. I was disappointed and left without buying anything,
@@paulstein9258 I haven't even bought it, yet I'm the fool? I'm only still considering it since I get the appeal of having a bigger screen for my use case, which largely is note-taking for classes and studying. Almost everything else including refresh rate, how the display looks like, etc. is secondary. I'll decide for myself when I make my trip to the retail stores selling these new models to try them out.
Right now, I definitely understand it's a luxury to have instead of a necessity, given I already own an iPad and I'd need a new pencil if I choose to go buy a new one. That's a luxury I'd have over small size convenience, if it means I can get my work done easier. Until if and when that happens, I'll stick with my current iPad Air.
I have exactly the same air as you and upgrading to 13 inch air. I figured 10.9 inch isn’t large enough comparing to 13 inch not portable enough comparing to mini. I plan to have 2 iPads from now on (mini and large).
Over here in Canada the 11 inch 128gb is 799$ that is a lot of money ,so basicly everything is expensive here
Wow that’s crazy
Yup and I have the Ipad pro 5th gen 12inch and maybe I Will do à trade-in with the new ipad pro
When they introduced the 13" iPad Air, I knew that was the iPad for me. Especially since it now comes in purple. That's something I just can't get in an iPad Pro.
But first I need to replace my iPad mini, which is the perfect size for me, because its physical home button has now broken. I was looking at the iPad mini 6, but that one is getting long in the tooth.
As with all tech, it ALWAYS pays to wait.
Mini 6 is on sale on Amazon, I’ve just ordered it. I plan to order air 13 inch too instead of air 10.9 2020
I do find it funny that even if you don't buy the Pro iPad, you're forced to buy the Pro Pencil. Are you Pro or not Pro?
I also find it confusing that Apple are pitching the iPads to be "landscape first" with the front camera moving, but kept the Apple logo on the back in the portrait orientation.
the Apple Pencil USB-C is sposta work with the new Air, at least that what the Apple website says.
I'm still rockin' my Air 5. I'm lovin' it.
I’m still on iPad Air 4th Gen and I don’t see any reason to upgrade for new iPad Air or iPad Pro. I came from 2018 iPad Pro where honestly it was not a step down for me when I switched to iPad Air in 2021
P.S. apple products are the way to go is my personal opinion judging by 15 years of going back and forth from apple to android
Is it still a 60hz display?
Yes, and its absolutely fine
camera cutout of the magic keyboard for air is the square and not the single cam 😢
Apple has been pushing the iPad towards the MacBook and away from the iPhone (camera placement and keyboard). Yet the Apple logo is configured to be similar to the iPhone (portrait) and not MacBook (landscape). With the camera moved to the long side and the use of the keyboard stand, I think Apple missed a detail, which is the orientation of their logo on the back.
Why m2 ipad pro faster than m2 air? Should i buy old m2 pro
What’s the point of a 13” iPad when a Macbook Air is an alternative with a keyboard. The 11” iPad is a more watching Netflix on the couch type of device. I prefer iPad OS over Macbook but if I wanted a keyboard i’d get a Macbook.
how about the new ipad air vs ipad 10th gen
I believe that the old iPad Pro/Air design is too heavy for the new iPad keyboard. That why only the crazy thin new iPad Pro can support it.
That might mean next gen iPad Air could come with normal OLED so it can be lighter, thinner?
For $829, you can get a M1 12.9” iPad Pro, keep your pencil 2 and regular Magic Keyboard, and a mini led screen. You probably can’t tell the difference in performance except it the pencil won’t hover. It is 55 grams heavier (11 nickels worth).
It will be supported until 2028 or 2029 and the resale may or may not be higher than the 12.9” air.
13 inch IPads feel and look like holding computer monitors in one's hands. 10.5/10.9 to 11 inch is the middle ground
You can still buy the usb c Apple Pencil
Underrated channel
Thanks!
Thank you for this. You have helped me decide between the 13” iPad Air and 13” iPad Pro. The Pro wins for me.
The more reviews I see of the new iPads, the more upset I get that the Mini wasn’t included. I’m 99% sure I’m not the only one.
Thanks, as always, for the content.
Waiting for the mini too
The reason, that the new iPad Air needs the Apple Pencil Pro and isn't compatible with the Apple Pencil II, is that they had to move the magnets to make space for the new position of the camera.
OR you can use the USBC Apple Pencil…. At least you can according to the website.
You can
wait, WHY doesn't the new keyboard work with the Air, why why why...
USB c pencil 79 $ buy that it also compatible
Don’t worry, I got an iPad Pro 11 M4 instead.
Overall? Already I love it 😁
I did check the Apple Store for the 13 inch iPad Pro, it’s very noticeably thinner and lighter compared to my 13 inch pro M1 version.
But I just prefer the portability of the 11 inch so I chose that, and I’m glad with it. Awesome resolution :)
Glad you’re enjoying it, it was a hard choice for me between the 11 and 13. 11 would be the closest experience to the 12” MacBook so I almost went for it
@@GregsGadgets there was one thing I did realize. Since we use our iPads mostly in landscape, why not the volume buttons moved to the sides instead?
I hate when creators try to include the magic keyboard in the price, there are plenty of Magic Keyboard style options on Amazon for a 3rd of the price. No it won’t be as simple to pair but it’ll be pretty close after initial pairing, also why let Apple give you the middle finger and buy the pleb keyboard for the same price as the much improved but incompatible new one?
Waiting for an artist review on this; ive been seeing artist reviewing the pro but i cant justify the $500 just to upgrade to the
Atarashii Gakko shoutout in a random iPad Air review? Yes please, it's great.
See you at the tour.
my conclusion after watching it is that it is better to take last year's iPad Pro 12.9, or even the year before, that 60-refresh rate put me off
Don't ever think about slipping in an Atarashii Gakko clip without people noticing.
If you want an iPad get the 10th gen. If you want the best of the best get the pro. No need for the air in the lineup. Last air that made sense was the Air 2 as that was the best iPad at the time.
I’m good with my iPad Air 5th gen tbh I love it
Not interested. iPad Pro 13 is where I am headed. Much more future proofing .
Apple lcd displays are really good. They aren’t Apple oled good, but I would argue they are better than some other oled screens. I go back and forth between an M2 LCD 11” Pro and 14 oled Pro and honestly, I don’t think it’s bad at all and in some aspects I prefer the lcd. Movies look more cinematic on lcd. Sometimes oled gets an annoying glare. Lcd can feel more crisp while oled can look hyper realistic and too real to be real if that makes any sense. I still prefer oled, but just saying that Apple’s LCD is completely enjoyable and probably the best lcd ever made.
Are you referring to the iPad Pro 2022, the one with the mini-LED display? Is that the LCD screen you're citing about, being more crisp?
@@williamgo9957Edit: oops, sorry. Meant 11”. I’ve never seen the 13” in person. The P3 regular lcd is probably the best lcd I’ve seen on a device.
@@jamesn7156 I owned all iterations of the iPad Pro, from the 2015 to the 2022, and for my standard the best display, the crispiest of them all, is that of the 2022. Maybe because its a mini-LED. But if it can be bettered, I can only cite one tablet that has a better screen, and that is the Samsung 14.6 S8. I also have that but I'm not using it precisely because the iPad is better overall in user's satisfaction even if the S8 has an OLED screen. Whatever it is that intrigues me with this 2024 iPad Pro is purely with regards to the dual-stacked OLED screen - is it truly notches better than the 2022 Retina display or does it surpassed the Samsung S8/S9 OLED flagships? Thanks anyhow for your response, I had no previous experience with the 11" iPad....
I'll probably wait for the new iPad Pro to go on a deep discount before getting it. No hurry whatsoever to replace my 2015 iPad Pro. Lol
