Navy water survival got me out of a bad situation in Florida. My training was in 89
I’m half Samoan my mom told me when I was like 4 “ you wanna swim son” I replied yes and she threw me into the deep end to learn through survival😂😂 this was all I did in a rapid panicking motion. She then showed me how to do it calm and every since I’ve felt like a fish in water 😅
He looks so relaxed it is almost ridiculous 😂. You're my role model! (Hashtag learning swimmer- goals)
It is relaxing when you know how…. You have to learn for scuba diving.
Nice technique 👍
Did it before watching video...Stayed 30mins..Now that got tips will try to improvise...
Thanks a lot
I learned to tread water real quick when I went down on the titanic, I treaded water for days then ended up catching a ride back to land on a dolphin, man what a ride.
is this joke
Fo real
@@wch7584 It happened to me too, it's a pretty common experience actually
ahaha.. bro did u see tat Jack fellow... haa lite big ship.. lol
I learned this when I was 15 the hard way. My cousin pushed me in a deep pool and I nearly drowned. Nobody knows how to help me so I kicked and kicked until I floated.
Iwas the same age, but it's a different story. My dad had his fishing hook stuck in a rock in deep water , i had to swim all the way there, and treaded water while trying to take it out. I finally did and swimmed back i was happy that i learned both swimming fast and treading water
@@oneyedeagle basically we learned on the fly haha... it's funny though that what is being taught here can sometimes be learned by instinct,or by survival for that matter.
Wow I would be mad at them lol
I trust the United States Navy much more than influencer CZcamsrs when it comes to water survival.
Its good to practical. Then only speech.
How would you do this in full clothing.
What about the egg beater kick? I've found it to be much more efficient and comfortable.
Snowcat89 I been trying to learn how to do that but have had no success. Do you have any links to any videos you found effective ?
They teach this technique because the egg beater method doesnt work while wearing flight boots, they just pull you down.
I'm steanding in deep water motionless hold the head above the surface, just in proper breathink technique.
I can float for an hour even longer literally without flapping or moving around. Will that be acceptable for treading water in navy basic?
MizAZ DOMiNGUEZ lol no, no it wont
How?

He’s moving his arms so fast I would think that you’d only use them just enough to keep it at nice level and a nice relaxed way to use at least amount of energy
My dad was in the Navy super that he learned how to swim and taught me too lol
Amen team no egg beater
I drown when I use the eggbeater kick. Thank god they said use this one. I think I will survive now.
does it work? I wanna try it.
@@spirit3277 SO UPDATE: hahaha. I found someone to teach me how to treadwater. They are a pro waterpolo player and they said that eggbeater uses less energy.
So really it is what is most comfortable for you/what you prefer. U can do that but I personally think breakstroke kick drained more energy for me after I learned how to eggbeat.
@@molliemk3477 Is it more like a karate kick? I feel it like that.
spirit3277 No it’s not like karate. You’re supposed to keep the knee bent.
If u karate kick u will straighten ur leg fully and u will sink faster.
You should find someone to teach u cos I watch a lot of videos and it didn’t help until I found someone to watch me.
@@molliemk3477 you were taught the egg beater well. glad to read this.
Lay on your back got dam it 😅😅
