If you drive an off-road vehicle and don't have rock lights installed yet, you may want to consider them. I certainly didn't think I needed rock lights on my 1995 Suburban since it's not a rock crawler but when I saw the rock lights by Diode Dynamics I knew they'd be good for just about any sort of auxiliary lighting situation. In the end I chose to install as rock lights and couldn't be happier. I was able to be non-destructive with my install and use factory holes in the frame rails as well.

The amber one would look nice
So they figured out how to sell ground effect lighting to outdoorsmen. Do yourself a favor and get LED ground effect kit with adjustable colors, make em white, and you’re done. Turn the lights white, crank up the brightness, and you have the same as this for $15. You’re welcome.
i a apir for a JKU I had. Replaced with a 2002 Suburban. I think I will use your idea and see if I can find to instal.. Great idea esp since it has a remote to turn lights on before approaching the truck
Great job! I don’t know if you are considering this but, I would love for you to do a video on adding mud guards to your suburban. It would help protect the paint of your beautiful suburban and protect the rock lights. Keep up the great work Jimmy!

I want to do this on my 03 Suburban but I want them to come on when the doors open too make it a little safer for my little ones getting in and out. I'll have to run a relay off my interior lights to switch them on but it will be worth it.

Am thinking the same. A relay from the interior lights should work. Would be amazing to come on when I unlock/lock and get out.
Tap them into the door switch
@@ricebike I also want them to come on when I remote unlock. Tapping to the door switch it will only come on when that door opens the interior lights come on when you open the doors or hit the remote so it makes the most sense to go off and interior light.

I would mount to the outside axle or on the outside of the rim.😂
