when a cruise ship docks at a port of call and passengers disembark, they must be back by a certain time, known as the "All Aboard Time." The all-aboard times are strictly adhered to with very few exceptions.
Cruise ships will leave without you if you are late. Thinking that you can test them because you paid thousands of dollars is entitlement and will turn you into a pier-running Karen.
Bottomline: Follow the All Aboard Times, and you'll have an amazing cruise.

Heard about the mother traveling with her 18 year son and while on shore she decided to haggle over the price of an item she wanted to buy and sent her son to tell the captain to hold the ship for the on departing until she got there. Priceless.
