Your instructions are amazing and I am very impressed with the way you explain the whole process. Even being a beginner I had no side questions after watching this.
At the beginning of this amazing video, at 1 minute 45 seconds...I had a fleeting thought that you, as always, will get a jug of coffee...but something went wrong !!!???....and the glue appeared on the horizon ... 8 -))))...and what about your tradition ? ... but mostly I want to say the flip-flops are just amazing...and I think I'll make them too....good luck to you...well done...
the coffee was somewhere near me for sure. I drink my coffee slow, I start with it at 8.30 in the morning and I finish it arround 15. And yes, I know how to make this type of sandals, I made my first pair in 1988 :). I already made patterns for some men german-like sandals (many buckles, aeverything adjustable) and I release them very soon.
@@VasileandPavel men's???.... oh this is interesting...I will wait very much,...just don't rush it...although you think everything through and your decision is always concise...we are waiting for you
This is such a great video thank you! what is the leather used for the linning please I purchased the pattern and Im looking forward to making the sandals.
Hello, The pattern has the size written on the pattern coresponding to European measurements. They are as follows: SIZES (5 sizes) 36-40 EU size 6-10 US size Length in centimeters and inches of the sole: Size 36: 23.5 cm (9 1/4") Size 37: 24.5 cm (9.64") Size 38: 25 cm (9.84") Size 39: 25.5 cm (10") Size 40: 26 cm (10 1/4")
Loved your process. Question ...why do you add the suede between the leather and rubber? I did not understand. Tks so much. Such a great job, clean look. .
I add thick suede because I glue the straps between a leather sole and a rubber sole and the straps generates volume. If the leather sole is thick, you won't feel that volume. I make sandals this way since 1988 :)
@@VasileandPavel Awesome. tks a lot for the detail. Im from Brasil and want to understand some of the process. I did one and it has the strap problem. IF you want to learn the word, the space between your heels and the middle of the foot is called ARCH ok? I had to learn that too. where you leave the space for the straps is a space where some people have an ARCH that i high and so, many shoe factory add some cushions there specially for people with back problems. tks a lot love your design.

I made the Greek sandals from you. The pattern was perfect, didn't need no lasts. I am thinking now how many pairs of sandals do I need :)

@@lolocaboclo true, you can make custom sandals with the client near you. Otherwise, you'll use lasts. Lasts are an aproximation of the medium foot.
