God, it's terrible. This might be one of the worst things to ever hit a screen.
Because she doesn't want to admit to how cringe and bad it really is. Even the clip they used on this video was cheese and poorly acted. Also, I didn't realize she was a Disney product at age 4; makes a lot of sense now.

I’m not 100% on the acting being bad because the writing is so terrible first and the overall execution, that I more blame the director then the actors. I only think actors are bad if they have done multiple things and they suck in all of it like Kristen Stewart, her acting is terrible in everything I see her in. I think these actors are trying to make bad writing good. But Amandla is taking it way too personally because of a bunch of things and has made herself a target, that’s her own undoing.
The show is very bad… I blame mainly the writers and the director… I have seen the actors do other good stuff so most of them aren’t bad actors they are just suffering from very poor direction and insufferable non sensical writing.
Fallout had a diverse cast with the two main protagonists being a women and a black man. It was well recieved. Stop the lies.
The writers put their soul into it with nothing but love for the source material. You can tell they care.
Although... I thought maximus kinda sucked. Imo writing/directing though not the actor - but could be wrong. Feel like it could have been a really great character but was just done so poorly. Then ya hear the writers inspiration and what he attempted to do and ya go... ahh. stupid. But one thing you can guarantee is that opinion is met with cries of racism!

And if you think about what Lesley Headland said about Amandla, that she's perfect for the role, that she wrote the show thinking of her and Amandla is such a weak actress but a strong activist, it tells you a lot about their objectives. You all know that the creator of The Acolyte (Leslye Headland) used to be Harvey Weinsteins personal assistant, right? To give context on where some of the Acolyte hate comes from. She's never atoned, instead she's elevated to controlling our beloved franchise and is ruining it.
Ok.. this show is crap, but her having worked for Weinstein has nothing to do with anything. Plenty of people work with others that have nefarious secrets and behavior. We are not our brothers keeper. The issue with Acolyte is that it's trash and Leslye has done a terrible job of delivery a Star Wars show. Period.

Hello all who watch The View, 🙏🏼. Star Wars: The Acolyte show on Disney Plus isn’t getting backlash because of racism/feminism/sexism/anti-LGBT.
The backlash is because of how poorly written the show is, the “cannon” breaking within the Star Wars Universe and with all honesty because fans of Star Wars who don’t like the show are being accused of such names, when in fact Disney doesn’t hold themselves accountable for what they produce.
Disney was the top tier storytellers for generations. But now when they prioritize on “agendas” and not focus on the overall story first (making it tie well with the overall franchise) they make a bad product and with that comes the backlash.
We want compelling storytelling and one that doesn’t compromise the already established world building that can be done if the writers knew the story of Star Wars.
I mean the injection of feminism and the gay agenda is also part of the cringe tbh

Over the weeks watching multiple different content creators video reviews, reading hundreds of comments, I’ve never once see or heard anyone say anything about her being black is why the show is bad. I would bet that none of the view panel has watched the series so to hear them just point the finger at fans on fake allegations like that is ridiculous. I’ve watched every episode so far unfortunately, because I want to have my own opinion besides listening to everyone bash it and you know what they aren’t wrong. It’s boring, poorly written and uneventful. Its just a bad show.

You're absolutely right and I surely agree with you. The only explanation for racism they can claim of existing is regarding one of the arguments SW fans use:
- "The series is more concerned with DEI rather than film quality."
As if criticizing the DEI aspect in the woke moto, which is a political way of doing things, is the same as being a racist. I guess no one is against diversity, equity and inclusion as positive aspects but they must be rendered the right way not shove down our throats by a political agenda. Thus, it was THE WAY the woke mob was trying to implement it, the object of criticism. SW fans aren't racist but they surely want the focus of the series to be on quality of writing, quality of acting and quality of production. Then, you can DEI whatever you want. The real criticism is that Disney shifted their priorities and fans didn't appreciate it.

Please provide one shred of evidence that anyone threatened to kill her because she's black. The only negative criticism I've seen of her has been her shortingcomings as an actress because she plays twin sisters and she plays both characters exactly the same. Also lying about actors getting racist death threats has been a form of Outrage marking that Disney has been using for a while now and people aren't falling for it anymore, which is why The Acolyte is the least watched Star Wars show in the history of the franchise and why Disney has already cancelled it behind closed doors but just hasn't announced it yet.

This is cope. Star Wars fans as a whole aren't being racist towards her. Most fans hate the writing, the acting and disrespect of the lore. Some were called bigots for saying this. Disney labels most criticism as bigotry. Making a diss track for clout and attention just makes things worse.

@@Fluuuv Never said this. Disney and media put out stories suggesting it's all-Star Wars fans and anyone who dislikes it. The biggest fan name Star Wars Theory gives legit criticism every week and is called a bigot. He also receives threats and gets harassed. He showed the receipts. Most criticism I've seen and agree with is the writing is bad, the acting is bad, it's disrespecting the lore, it's slow and boring. The majority of fans had no issue with her until she opened her mouth and said Star Wars is gay and said all nerds are gay. She's playing victim here. Her and the director did an interview saying Star Wars was always gay, they got criticism for it, now crying.
It is nuanced, but you can hate the woke casting not out of bigotry, but out of moral indignation that Disney is acting likes their audience is all bigots and need to be taught a lesson about diversity. It's kind of insulting. I've found anti-woke people typically fit into the latter category.

When I was a kid, you ignored those kinds of people but now, it is a shield against valid criticism of a bad show. No that I believe these claims, to begin with.

She does not know what racism is or means. The same as what Star Wars is. She grew up safe, privileged, protected, money, with family and friends.
I had none bullied, real racism (not fake stories) no safety, no family, homeless, but made my way.
I wager The View panel has never seen an episode of the show, but they certainly know about the racism that isn't the issue at all.
