The judge with the beard, pretending to be like Simon, buzzed the guy early on. Then had to pretend that he didn't buzz the guy.

What is his talent, except he can play an instrument?
Could he keep a show up himself in the long run, keeping it new and interesting?
A fun solo in a rockband perhaps. Or a curiosity streetmusician?

I adore the bag pipes and the Irish flutes.....majestic and mystical instruments they are. This guy is absolutely gorgeous and talented.

i love the bagpipes! my gran is from orkney, scotland. when i was small she used to take me to the theater. it was in toronto, where i live now. the shows she took me too were scottish themed. one i remember well was a scottish love story play. a farmer and a high class lady fell in love. the music was marvelous. there was one scene when the couple was singing a scottish song, Loch Lomund. the bagpipes played along. I absolutely adore the bagpipes, in fact, they sometimes bring tears to my eyes

You have just described "Mad Jack" Churchill from WWII. His three extra bits of kit were a Scottish arming sword, his bow and arrows... And his bagpipes.

It was actually done in WW1, it was found that during battle, artillery and gunfire would drown out the sound of the pipes, so it would be a short lived boost of morale.
The Song started as "Bear Buttocks", a theme written by the group he was in (The Kilted Generation) before they disbanded, and finished as 99 Luft Ballons by Nene

Those Uilleann pipes at the beginning sounded lovely.
I love that immediately after somebody gave him the X, not a fuck was given, and fire shot out of his bagpipes.
@ClassicGirl99 He didn't say the sound was ugly, he just meant that when most people think of bagpipes and they think it's noisy and horrible, but in the hands of somebody gifted, a bagpipe can become the most beautifull sound you'll ever hear.

If everyone and/or anyone here likes Bagpipes and/or Traditional Celtic Folk Instruments in Music like Metal and/or Rock, then I highly recommend checking out a Swiss Band called Eluveitie. They do a blend of Celtic Folk Music and Metal that I personally think works fantastically LOL. I recommend Albums like Helvetios and Everything Remains As It Never Was, and Songs like Thousandfold and Quoth The Raven.
I'd like them if they were an instrumental band or had a lead singer.

Skeletor Jopko LOL. Fair enough, two of my Best Friends said the same thing LOL. Their Hurdy Gurdyist does a fair bit of Clean Vocals though, and she's quite a talented Vocalist; in fact, she's even better at Screaming than their Lead Vocalist LOL (the occasional time that she does it). On a related note, it could just be shitty Vocalists that have turned you off from Screaming; as the ones who actually know what they're doing sound leagues better than the others. Their Lead Vocalist isn't using the right technique, so he sounds alright in the Studio; but you can tell Live that he's going to injure himself. Even in Studio though, having the proper technique really makes for a better Vocalist; well, naturally LOL. If you want some material from this Band that doesn't really have Screaming in it though, I can recommend five Songs: Scorched Earth (which is an Acappella Chant in Gaulish that reminds me of Druids LOL), A Rose For Epona (the normal Version has a bit of Screaming from the Lead Vocalist in the Bridge, the Acoustic Version has none), Hope (is an Acoustic Instrumental), Memento (is also an Instrumental, and is mostly Acoustic), and Omnos (another Acoustic Song, but with Vocals in Gaulish).
The bagpipes are horrible and ugly? I'll tell you what's more horrible and ugly: ignorance. Kudos to all pipers who have worked so hard to play some of the most beautiful music ever composed on this incredible instrument!

These are very simple tunes. . . the folks praising it are wowed by the vulgarity and the fireworks. Cute for a carnival, not real music.
