- Continuing after a long delay (sorry, life happens!) my Overwatch 2 DPS work, having one-tricked my way into Gold as a Reinhardt Tank it's time to explore the game more widely. Having one into Competitive I learnt the hard way that my main choices all shared a common weakness -- a total lack of range. To compensate I learnt on the fly how to use Junkart, Pharah and Bastion -- now we're ready to respond to changes in the opposition's team compositions!
So stepping into Competitive play for Season 3. This series will run alongside my main Reinhardt progression journey (which is currently under review -- a subject for another day).

Its good to have a large roster of characters that you can use in this game, having a good core team like the ones you are using is good for beginners and advanced players I feel as they are all very easy to pickup and play. nice work
Thanks man, yeah the roster I was running with was too shallow. I reckon with this it’s all there to get into Gold 😌
Yeeeesssss it's here!!
I’m so sorry it’s been crazy with work, school holidays and family visits to SG. I also had to reflect on feedback from the last OW video I did, which… failed to capture the public’s imagination?? 😅
Thanks for the patience - I’ll try to keep up with my OW from here!
@@timelessgamer_UK it's all good, it's a hobby, not a job, don't feel bad if you have to delay an upload
Was wondering if we were going to see another OW vid! Feeling it again?
I’ve struggled since getting into Gold. Not that the gameplay is difficult but the attitudes of players have massively shifted. It’s a hell of a lot more toxic now frankly. I tried to tell myself it was just a run of bad luck, but it seems Gold is the threshold at which players start to get frustrated with the lack of progress.
It’s also true that in my placement matches for DPS I got ranked against Plats and Diamonds which was a bit brutal. I got shouted / laughed at a lot by them when we lost which honestly isn’t a great experience at the end of a long day. Funnily enough, being in Bronze and back in Silver was a lot more fun than Gold has turned out to be!
Let’s see how this video lands. If it resonates with the audience that’s left I’ll make another. If it flat lines then well - it was fun - but that’s the end of this project. Move on!
