That pump that they gave you is a special pump called a “shock pump” and is the only type of pump you can use if you wanna adjust the air pressure in your suspension forks.
Yep set it to your weight, I brought the rox shox one for my new bike with it being a rox shocks deluxe

@@dylanramsey5991 The way he was talking about it in the video sounded like he thought it was just a regular pump; he never addressed it as a shock pump, and if he did know- it’s a way to educate some of the viewers on what one is.

Nice, a double shot of Hicks today. A broken ankle and new bike day video. YT is definitely a bike company trying to add value for the consumers. Some of the specs they have on their bikes can’t be matched. The dirt jumper looks fantastic. I tried to get one early in 2021 but they were always sold out so I had to rebuild my deity cryptkeeper which was super expensive but turned out pretty nice. Thanks for the video.

I got this bike about a week ago myself. Everything on this bike except the wheel hubs is amazing. I recommend keeping the rims but switch out the hubs.
What's wrong with the hubs?
@@aaronshrpe I seem like the type of hubs that would go on a lower end BMX wheel.. they function tho so I’ll see how they hold up

15:16 I reckon a motor on a dirtjumper would be pretty mint.
I personally use something close to a dirtjumper with a 1000w bafang bbshd + 52v 10.4Ah battery and it feels great after i tuned it to have no pedal assist and dialed in my throttle settings.
The added weight to the bike is around 9kg (~19.5 pounds) which is not too extreme on a hardtail and can be reduced overall with some lighter wheels, lighter frame etc.
The bike feels nimble to me, and a little heavier over jumps but definitely nowhere near the same ballpark in terms of weight as the big 7000w e-bike/e-motorbikes.
I think you'd shred on something with a bafang middrive set-up

It’s cool to see you on some mountain bikes and it’d be cool to see you on some bikes with some rear squish like a fully MTB or a slope bike

Someone should create a video game based on John Hicks rides through different parts of L.A. GTA style. Starting with BMX. Upgrading parts, earning merch and unlocking new rides like jump bikes, Sur Ron by riding through gang territories. Earn points by doing tricks, hill bombs, battling gang members, stopping crime, etc. 😅
Cool looking bike but I agree black forks would complete the look. Nice of them to include a shock pump.
YT has super good prices on their mtbs! they also have a big shop out in san clemente, that's why it probably shipped so fast haha
All up to you however, I’ve had this bike for a few months not and after many many failed 180s and 360s these wheel are still holding up amazing. It could maybe use a little truing but overall not enough to bother anyone. The bearings on the wheels are holding up even through rainy weather they been fine. The only complaint I’ve had is the length of the bars (personal preference), height of the bars, and the brakes aren’t very strong. Overall, this bike is 100% worth the price.

If you don't mind running a bmx stem, NS district bars are really nice for street riding
I bought the Scott voltage yz 0.1 love the geometry of it, but so far the fork and drivetrain are really the main things I have on my list for major upgrades.

Not too many brands are offering optional sizes for dirt jumpers. Typically all claim 1 size fits all from 5’4 - 6’0. You don’t look like a scrawny high schooler like most these guys appear riding these haha. Did you choose the “long” size? I wanna buy one of these, and kinda thinking of going in their larger size even tho they claim it’s better for people a few inches taller then me since I mainly ride full size mtn bikes and am a full sized adult. So hopping on a small dirt jumper will feel weird 😂

there dirt jump bars not bmx bars so thats why they are low also dirt jump brakes are meant to slow you down not stop you flat out for emergencies
