I used the Badlands winch based on this video. It took me forever. If you decide to do this install, make sure that you put the winch plate over the outside of the bumper. It's a pain in the neck and definitely takes two men. Also, the wiring for the switch is weird. The white line hooks up to the black line (same as where the jumper is) on the solenoid.

Can you explain more to what you mean about the winch plate in the outside of the bumper?... Never mind I watched the rest of the video,

the tire lift is correct at 1", because from 25" to 27" is 2" on the Diameter...... ie. 1" top 1" bottom for a lift of 1" ish

Nice job, this video helped me out alot when I installed my winch. I ran my small red wire same place that you did. Is that the wire that controls the light on the toggle switch on the dash? If so couldn't i run it to the red on the solenoid and it would stay off when the battery disconnect was off?

Seems like the winch mounting plate would be the weak point in the system? The way it mounts to the horizontal plate? I don't care for that. I guess as long as you are winching at zero angle relative to that horizontal plate you would be ok. But if the cable is on an incline or decline, relative to that plate, it seems like you could bend the mounting plate up or down. The Polaris winches mount directly to the vertical portion of the frame on the bike. No way the brackets could ever bend. Just seems like a better system.

Nice job putting that winch on. You took your time and thought it out.

How did you finally install the bumper over the winch? You ran into the interference, then it magically appeared bolted on.
