Really thorough review best you can get without actually getting to try the seat for real. Do they have a showroom anywhere or are they online only?
Thank you - really helpful and honest review👍
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. You had mentioned the seat cushion being soft. My current chair was quite cheap and has been good overall. But the seat cushion is very stiff. My rear end will go numb after about 20 minutes of sitting. Does the Boulies provide confort for a decent amount of time in the seat? Thanks very much.
What really matters it is ability to tilt not only back but sitting place as well. That the main option for gaming chair to my mind.
Would like to see the other colours that they have available as well as the Napa finish.
Overall id say that is a win - i like the understated look and lack of garish colors - good review Mat, you are my go to guy now for this kind of stuff as you always mention the issues unlike some youtubers.
Thank you
I like the screws being pre installed as it saves on that awful plastic packaging and you know already where they should go. Need a power tall when you’re building these Mat.
I would like one of these.
Adjustable lumbar support is such a necessary feature. Some chairs try to do it automatically but I find they arent in the right spot for my back. Dunno if I have a funny shape or something. Probably.
I'm looking at the: Boulies Fit Pro
Do you have any thoughts?
Good review mat, you are improving in the last few reviews. good analysis and thanks for pointing out the issues too, makes me value the content more if negatives are mentioned.
Thanks 👍🏻
I like the appearance of this. checked out the sale over on their site, are you going to review their Ninja Pro?
Yeah, I'll be reviewing the Ninja Pro at some point in the near future - after Christmas
nice to see a company making chairs to support 135kg, Im a big guy too and always wonder if things will break on me when I sit on them !
I know this is an old video but I'm hoping someone can respond recently brought a chair from noblechairs the hero for 400 and had nothing but massive leg pain from how the seat is curved its not flat like say an office chair is the boulies the same as noblechaies or is the seat more flat like a normal office chair would be
Quite like that all black version.
Is the only difference on the Ninja pro is that its recommended for taller people?
Been using a cheapo Ikea chair that is falling apart these look quite good.
How tall are you?
I’ve just got the Max and not sure if I should have got the standard. I’m 6ft.
The sizing is hard to decide for someone 6ft because it’s teetering between both sizes.
The Max is comfortable but I think I need a slightly shorter Gas lift as I’m getting a little pressure in the back of my legs on the lowest height still.
Also as good as the lumbar support is I think it needs to be a bit less aggressive as its minimal setting is still poking out the chair a considerable amount.
This may soften up over time though I’m hoping.
I'm 6ft too. The lumbar support did take me some time to get used to.
Definitely looking forward to a long-term review. I'm not impressed with the upper weight limit, though. What happens if you exceed it? Say a dog jumps on your lap?
Keep up the good work.
you need to buy one for the dog ?
good review Mat
Thanks 😀
I am still not 100% sold on 'gaming' chairs, as its often a word they use as a license to print money by overcharging. This one, however, seems better than most. Its not overly coloured to attract kids, and it seems well made in most places you would want it. Did you work out why one of the armrests is more rattly than the other? is it definitely attached properly?
Yeah, there s an OEM manufacturer that build it, and allow for some design customizations. Having said this, I never saw a chair with this custom lumbar support. So maybe Boulies got their own design in, or the Chinese OEM manufacturer has introduced a new design.
The main problem is that ergonomically, these chairs are really questionable.
Not bad price especially if you compare them to the Herman miller apron type chairs which can cost a grand.
They aren't even comparable.. HM offer a superior product with a 12 year parts and labor warranty. These are cheap mass produced gamer chairs from China being marketed with ergonomic gimmicks and a warranty to match.
excellent review - not sure im 100% sold on this, but ill be interested to see if it holds up long term. The shaky armrest seems unforgivable at the price point but maybe you got a dodgy sample.
They're the same dodgy Chinese manufactured chairs that all these companies sell, if you're going to spend money on a chair, get a Steelcase or Herman Miller - at least you get a chair made of quality materials with a warranty to match. Well worth the investment if you're sitting a lot.
@@cjpartridge spending like £1k is just not realistic for a lot of people though.
Downside of that exposed stitching is the wear and tear or snagging that can happen and it’s going to start to fall apart.
Their website is good. They arent really doing gaming chairs as what I would 'expect' meaning - some sponsored crap with a car or marvel brand and trying to hide a lack of padding, or a means to adjust the chair properly. quite impressed, but until I sit in one, i reserve final judgement.
So is Napa leather made from actual animal leather? That would be worth it for me.
These looks pretty tough well up to the abuse of a few hard sessions.
Master Max or Elite Max? I'm 6"4 - 205 lbs. Haven't been able to decide for weeks
Tough one to say. The max chairs are strong enough however
How many G-forces can you pull in it?
45, my neck is 24 inches wide
My only problem with loads of adjustments available on a chair is that it's really hard to find something that I find comfortable. Once I start fiddling I can never stop and often I'll leave it in a position that ends up giving me a back ache.
I like having as many tuning options as possible. you dont need to use them I guess if you just ruin all the settings, but the more the merrier IMO
Nice
Its downside is that it does look like another run of the mill gaming chair and you have to have a proper go of it to be able to appreciate it.
It scares me to buy a chair and not sit in it first, spending that much is turning me off.
I’ve had mine for over a year now and using the warranty had to replace the cushion but it was great and customer service was great can’t recommend more, I’ve slept in that chair
Look very sturdily built.
I would never ever buy a PU/leatherette material chair (having owned several in the past). The plastic leather material just disintegrates so quickly and doesn't breathe well. The chair begins looking tatty so quickly with use. Far better to go for cloth version of the chair. Apart from that, this chair seems great.
i have a leatherette chair and so far no issues, but as a rule, yes id agree. what chair are you using now?
All have negatives. Cloth gets dirty easy and is harder to clean or remove stains . Leather is easy to clean but if it's fake leather and you sweat the leather will degrade quickly
@@ms3862 I was about to say the same thing - I had a great cloth chair and I spilt liquid on it, and its never really cleaned up again, Leather you can wash easily. Each to their own.
198 cm / 143 kg ... sadge 😵💫
yeah... just.. buy a mesh office chair unless you want a goblin back.. race chair are no bueno
You realize that you got two holes on your shocks 🤣
They're my special chair assembling socks
👍NICE
I enjoy your reviews very much btw you are my favorite reviewer of kitgurutech
@@stavmangr thanks man. That means a lot 👍🏻
Check out the Haworth Fern / Fern X Halo Gaming Chair for a real ergonomic chair.
secretlab hardcore fans when they realise all their chairs are made in the same factory as this one for less than 70usd a piece... priceless
All of these gamer chairs are very samey make it hard to blend in with an existing decor you need to put them in a dedicated games space.
It’s a gaming chair so where is the RGB lighting?
Honestly, one shouldn't use these cheap Chinese chairs. They sit quite comfortable, but ergonomically they are not up to standard. Just spend around 400 euro's or so on a proper office chair.
Actually this one is an ergonomic chair. people that post these 'anti gaming' chairs are all just typing the same crap ive seen 400 times on any 'gaming' chair video - this one isnt actually presented by the company as a gaming chair, and if you see all the adjustments its actually what you get from a good ergo chair.
@@hairsprungdutchtechnique9626 It's not about the amount of adjustments that you can make. The general form you can't adjust. A proper ergonomic chair allows you to adjust your back support. So not just the backrest.
