Tool-Chocolate Chip Trip really is expansive and amazing panning.
Aventine by Agnes Obel . The whole album is an absolute masterpiece. For the first time in my 35 years old music journey I can listen to a full album again and again and again...
Just so we don’t have to write down notes as we watch, would you mind in the future including the song info in the description?
I screen shot each track.
Shazam 👍
As well as a snippet of the music to see if we even like the piece!
A track list in your remarks that I could cut and paste would be lovely!
Once a relative level of satisfaction is found with gear, what's left is discovering great music! Thanks for this list & keep them coming 😀
I appreciate when reviewers do this. Thank you!
You live in a beautiful environment!!! Thank you for sharing the test tracks!!
What a great. List ! ❤❤ I’m enjoying every track and through it expanding to other songs of these artists. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing those tracks with us! Cool pics! Always great to ‘discover’ some new songs and to see what other people like to listen to. Seems we are much on the same page on a lot of your musical choices. They say ‘you can judge a person by their playlist’, ha ha! Ok, I made that quote up, but very true imho anyway. Looking forward to your next Top 20. 🤓
I love finding out about new artists. Thanks. Look forward to the demos
Great music. Thank you for sharing. I especially appreciated your comments about each piece. Thank you also for all your equipment reviews.
Thank you for the playlist. I'm always looking at the new music. Can't wait to listen.
Fantastic suggestions. I just fine tuned my system and the songs are just as you described. Thanks. Just awesome.
Thank you for sharing. I wish more people would. This is why I built my system.
Great list. I liked almost all of them
Love the selection, added them all!
Love the recommendation ❤ Thank you very much.

Totally agree
Take note of the details and type it into your streamers search.
YT keeps deleting posts😂
what a beautiful house you have Sir!! Congrats!! 🙌
No chapters, no list, no playlist link? I'm curious, but I don't know that I'm 20 minutes curious. I could get through a few songs in that time period.
Enjoyed this list and found several tracks I really love. When is the next edition?
What a amazing song from Vincente Amigo.. Thanks.
Love the music 🎶❤️thanks !!!
Thank you for pointing out the test tracks. Have summarized them for general use as Qobuz playlist "20 Sonds to Demo your Hifi with". Only the Woodkid song is missing due to lack of availability. Enjoy the music!

Awesome songs. Added to Tidal - Ultimate Hi Fi test 🤘
Do you think you could please share a playlist of these from Tidal or Spotify etc. Whichever service you're using. That would be amazing. Thanks for everything.
Some of my suggestions include: Maret, Collin, and Frisell’s rendition of Brother in Arms on the album called Americana…. Or, Scattered Black and Whites by Elbow on the Live at the Ritz recording…. Or, Rosie by The Coo in the original DSD format on their album Amsterdam Moon.
Thanks for the list.
Thanks, lovely weather and lovely cats 🐱 😎 I really enjoy your videos and now I got some new music to try out 🙏

1. John de Kadt (sun dance) 2.john 5 (noche acosador) 3.Jesse cook ( i put a spell on you) 4. kurunesh ( flowing bamboo). 5.Hey Ya! Thanks for music choices.
Fink-biscuits,blueberry pancakes,London grammar-hey now,Dominique aime-home
I highly recommend -Whiskey and you by Chris Stapleton. Just him and his guitar solo.
Yep. Tennessee Whiskey as well.
Death Row is another great one by Chris Stapleton
Malia & Boris Blank - song Magnetic lies. Great bass!!!
Thanks for the suggestions. Muddy Waters Folk Singer is my favorite blues album of all time. You should try At War with the Mystics by The Flaming Lips. Not exactly an audiophile recording, as it's very bright with a lot of intentionally added distortion, but it's so much fun to listen to. Try the track "Free Radicals".
Dominique Fils-André : album "Nameless"
Great list - thank you.
Nice to see Villagers getting a mention, fantastic band.
Their Spotify sessions version of "Nothing Arrived" is absolutely sublime!
Yes boss more of this please❤❤
HAEVN - The Sea. Listen to it the first time during a B&W Sounddemo with Audioquest Salesman from the Netherlands. Sounds really nice
Thanks for your ideas of songs. Great ! A superb discovery : Malia - Celestial Echo. Best wishes from France.
great choices
Great list, I was familiar with only one of them.
Some that I like to demo with are:
Kanou by Fatoumata Diawara
The Arc by David Gray
Never Been to Spain by Elvis off the Walk a Mile in my Shoes album.
Father Mountain by Calexico / Iron and Wine
I'm going to go listen now! Thank you for the list!!!
Winston Churchill's Boy - Benjamin Clementine - At Least for Now (Deluxe) album
Tchaikovsky: 1812 Overture, Op. 49, TH 49 - Erich Kunzel • Cincinnati Pops Orchestra • Kiev Symphony Chorus • Children's Choir Of Greater Cincinnati
The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Roberta Flack - First Take album (that distant cymbal on the left and her vocal will really reveal your system)
Game On! - Tina Guo album (guilty pleasure)
You made my day😮 thx
Enigma (La Puerta Del Cielo) - heavenly🤩
Amazing thank you
Song Outcast from the album Between, artist Marcin Pater trio and Leszek Możdżer. My compatriots and I recommend the song and whole album to demo dynamic and bass.
Great track, Bodil Niska Over the Rainbow with that Sax jumping out at you. Another great one with a horn is Beija Flor by Matt Wilson on the album Arts and Crafts.
Oh my......! Your yard is so lush! Are those cherry trees?
Thank you so much
Awesome thank yo so much
A must to try is Dominque Fils-Aime' from the Album Nameless the song is Birds. The whole album is wonderful!
Thank you for what your doing.
Thank you for Linda Perhacs. ❤
Thank you for this wonderful list ! One of my favorite tracks to play on my system is Debilidad - A Colors Show, by Chilean artist Javiera Mena
Would you please share as Apple Music or Spotify playlist? Thanks!!
Agreed, Apple and Spotify please!
I think he uses Tidal
Tidal would be nice too 😊
I made it, look more recent comments
Thanks for Hidden Citizens, didn´t know them!
Enigma !!! 👌👍
Thanks!
I love that Enigma song!
For intimate sounding well recorded vocals try Chantal Chamberland . . . she sings LOTS of covers like I Wanna Dance With Somebody and What A Difference A Day Made . . . happy listening !
Thank you for the recommendations. I will give them a try. On vinyl I love the first 2 tracks of Robin Trower's Bridge of Sighs album. Day of the Eagle and Bridge of Sighs. They run a large gamut of sounds and intensities that can show weakness in a system that is not tuned well. Kicks off with very loud and busy. Guitars/drums that require a great deal of detail to not just turn to loud mush or become audibly taxing. Depending on the system it could either sound incredible or you could feel like your stereo is yelling at you. Then the song ends mellow with great base lines and cymbals that you feel like you could reach out and grab. The soundstage places them right in front of you. The base line will attract your attention directly at your sub if it isn't dialed in to your speakers. It will certainly highlight the mismatch as you crossover from sub to front speakers. The start of Bridge of Sighs is another section that really highlights your soundstage. The whimsical sounds chiming fall all around you. Right, left, in front and behind you... everywhere and then the guitar comes in right in front of you. Slow, Bluesy and Robin's voice is just so forward and distinct. It's a great album overall.
@Rich Lynch. Please be advised that the vocals on the track "Bridge Of Sighs" - in fact the whole album, are from bassist James Dewar. James sang with Robin Trower from 1973 until 1983. James was probably one of the best ever rock singers of all time. But sadly totally overlooked. James died in 2002. Stay safe and well
Listened to this album a lot as a kid as my dad had it on vinyl. I love the way the bass and drums groove together, seemingly without a click track, just natural timing, which they play with to increase intensity. Underrated album imo
Thanks a lot
Always looking for new music! 1 👍
Hello Sir 😊 I have a german dynamic tip 4 U. "Ulla Meinecke - Die Tänzerin"
Have much fun with it and thx 4 ur beautyful Videos.. Lovely Greetz
Excellent test track 🙏
Thanks
Thanks for this. You sure like reverb 😊.
Second that reverb comment. It's nice, but this list is pretty echo-heavy.
Really appreciate your sharing these songs, as I'm always interested in great songs to enjoy our investments. :)
I like your nature sounds. Do you have a hi-res stream?
Malia does a great rendition of Fever.... must listen..!
That entire Boris Blank album with Malia is spectacular. Every song. No other Malia album is truly worth it.
Black Sabbath...War Pig's nothing more needs to be said...🔥
I got into Low Roar listening to their Death Stranding Soundtrack - it's excellent.
Always nice to find new music - unless you missed this one: 'A Trace of Grace with Michel Godard'
I like it a lot!!! Thx!
I'd be very interested in more videos like this. More audiophile channels should have videos every now and then on music Discovery in my opinion.
can you tell us what part of the county you live in? Its a beautiful spot.
Great selection. Speaking of large, room-filling recordings I can recommend:Run by Supergrass from the album Live in Other Planets and Hypnose from Planet Jarre by Jean-Michel Jarre
”Run”?
Total super surprise!
Linda Perhacs... WOW
Haha love that Arcane made it into this list!
Songs I use to choose speakers include Everybody Wants You by Jeff Buckley and the live version of Keith Don’t Go by Nils Lofgren.
Chesky demo 1 cd is awesome
I haven't watched this yet, but you better have some Seal in there. ;-) Ok, hitting play now.
Miss the multi instrument tunes with high energy that really test the instrumen/vocal separation. I use the second half of "Telegraph road" for instance, it easelly gets really muddy att higher volumes.
I thought I was the only one that listens to B-tribe 😂 that album in particular is my fav😎
Que sera, sera indeed!
Do one with focus on classical music, please!
Try Sophie Zelmani "All About You"
My personal go-to is Rick Wakeman's song 'Judas Iscariot' from his Criminal Record release.
It'll test just about every facet of a system.
None of the songs from your list can't get even close to the performance of your friendly birds in the background:) HUGE soundstage!!!
Listen to The Birds 😊
@@mcplutt Best tweeters on the planet🙃
can get…
Great list of tracks. Much appreciated. Just a thought - next time maybe a couple of tracks that test bass/sub speed(?)
que sera, sera..... by Hidden Citizens have a massive bass drop at 1:20
Irreplaceable • O
Ed Patrick - Irreplaceable
Steely Dan’s Two Against Nature album 💿
I attended two live recordings at my local opera house and concert hall that are available on commercial CDs and streams. They are my personal references, because I remember the spatial setting and the dynamics. I can’t reproduce the dynamics in my flat without neighbours complaining. On the other hand many Hi-Fi demos play the recording at higher volume than the live performance.
@Peter Zapp
So what is the title of the CD, name of the opera house/concert hall, pieces that were performed, composer, and date of performances???
@@bbfoto7248 Oehms Classics, OC 472 and OC 978
@Peter Zapp
Thanks Peter!
I made a playlist on Tidal with these songs and I use it as a reference when I mix and match gear to try to experience what you experience. It's a great way to learn the aspects of hifi, which are so enjoyably frustrating. Cheers
What’s the name of the playlist
Can you link please? And has someone made a Spotify one?
Qobuz Please ❤❤❤
Dude! Requiem! Please do more…
Can't wait to hear all 20. Do you want more special tracks?
Strand of Oaks... "Under Heaven" is the last song on the album "In Heaven".
