Let's face, it these short stories are the best thing in the UCI World Tour. Makes the races more personal, engagement is higher. That said, it's fun to follow the daily results too. Also worthwhile to have Lachan types willing to do media -- pay these super-domestiques more money!!!
@Christy Dolan Lachlan shows up to Leadville, out of his element and podiums. Granted, not UCI but consider how awesome it is to have a wildcard rider with an open mind to take on the alternative events without ego.
@Christy Dolan Last I checked MTN and road are not similar in physical needs. You entirely MADE my point, thanks. Not too many UCI ELITE cyclists are doing training rides with us "plebes" -- for enjoyment and our entertainment. Again, he elevates the EF First brand and UCI cycling, in my mind he is a great asset -- call him whatever you will.
@Christy Dolan Your also kidding yourself about the quality of rider at these alternative events --- lot's of former pros.
@Christy Dolan I just redefined super domestique. Heck -- it's 2020 and if you can redefine your gender, then I can redefine super domestique to mean super experienced and super cool.
@Christy Dolan If you can read between the lines, my joke was an acknowledgement I overstepped the traditional definition of "super" domestique. Your choice: rider a) "nameless/characterless/less experience/cheaper" or b) "charismatic/engaging/experienced/more expensive" -- I'm suggesting PAY for rider "b". My opinion was that world tour teams have to consider more than just race day to grow the sport.
This was a whole different vibe and I’m here for it.
I used to be inspired by old classic euro teams and their tradition, now makes me cringe hahah Love what Ef is doing with the sport, makes me want to stay in it.

Awesome watch, just wish it was longer. Oh and Laccy we don’t see you as a joke rider, we see you as the most inspirational and down to earth rider in the peloton. Proud to have supported this team for a very long time.

I got into cycling this year...first pro race I attend is the last TT of this year's giro and I shoot a video of the first pro I ever seen in a race and its this EF rider with this AMAZING kit, didn't know he was an awesome dude though LACHLAN!

I think that's the ugliest jersey I've ever seen on a world tour team. The issue is not that's it doesn't follow traditional styles, it's that it looks horrible
