  • “I’m very nervous. It’s an eight day mountain bike race. World champions here. There's a lot of capable, experienced mountain bikers. And then there’s Alex and I. Also here.”
Lachlan and Alex arrived in South Africa feeling both nervous and excited for Cape Epic, the biggest mountain bike race in the world. Watch what happens as they challenge themselves both mentally and physically in preparation for the grueling race, only to discover 2 days out that it's canceled.
Rapha and EF Pro Cycling present this episode of Gone Racing: Cape Epic - a story of the race that never was.
    About EF Pro Cycling:
There are lots of stereotypes about pro cycling. How about we shatter them all? We’re EF Education First, and we are on a quest to show the world what cycling can and should be: Real human. Real adventures. Real fun.
We’re proud to be the longest-running U.S.-based team in the game, bringing 10 years of professional race experience and a passion for transforming cycling into a platform for global good. In 2018, we joined forces with EF Education First, the world leader in international education. Today our squad rolls deeper than ever, with 30 pro riders representing 17 nationalities and more than 52,000 EF employees supporting our every move.

I know it's in the name of the race, but it's you guys who are EPIC. Thank you for sharing alternative racing as a means to sharing better ways to do life.

Such a bummer the series of events that have shut down this season but still an awesome story and great dialogue from both Alex and Lachlan. Makes me that much more excited/hopeful to see the two of them back for next year.
