Two terms of George Bush in the White House: no Iraq War
Al Gore in office for less than a year: invades Iraq without warning.
God I love HOI4 moments like this.
Honestly
Sounds about right
in this world, bush is regarded as the best president in recent history while al gore is one of the worst
In my game, the USA declared on Bosnia without any way to attack them. 5 years staring contest.
@@RunicRhino22
That's Bosnia for you.
@@Enchie Bosnian Artillery is led by god
"I control the bulk of worlds oil supply."
"WHY IS AMERICA ATTACKING ME???!!"
I wonder if there were ways to get the U.S. on side through diplomacy, propaganda, political change, or economic investment/trade. The Saudis have stayed on good terms with the U.S. despite some rather concerning domestic policies for political and economic reasons. In retrospect, puppeting and assimilating a nation after inciting a coup when the former government was a U.S. ally might have been a dangerous choice.
I wonder how difficult it would be to have the game communicate the most significant reasons for the war. I know it's probably based on some numerical values mixed together and some randomness, but the biggest contributors could probably be determined, even if it wasn't always accurate. I suppose this wouldn't apply in multi-player, however.
@@Nerdnumberone I mean you have to have justification to start a war, just make the AI follow that rule and declare it as well.
@Nerdnumberone Yeah now that I think about it that's probably what did it
@@Nerdnumberone The Saudis and US have worked together for 60 years. Iraq wasn't aggressive towards the Soviet Union and invaded Kuwait over Kuwait laterally drilling into their oilfields.
@@austinperez9408 also important to note that the Saudis and Americans have recently had a fall in relations. It's a changing relationship, and one that likely won't end well for the Saudis
“Nice guy Iraq fixes the Middle East” hooo boy this is gonna be interesting.
Yea
Yea
Yea
23:16 What A Suprise for Me As Indonesian to see that kind Of Land lease Actually Happen In the Game😅
Yea
22:59 - This how I envision Iraqs reaction to the US declaring on them.
ahhahahahahha
Nah they saw it coming once they invaded Kuwait
See the difference here is that the Iraqis didn't actually invade anyone this run.
Gotta get that oil- er i mean wmd
@@buddermonger2000 They hadn't invaded anyone in a decade at that point as well. They lost the first one and took that L just fine. 2003 was under the guise of nonexistant WMDs and basically nothing else. Ba'athist Iraq was a powerful force against state sponsored terrorism via Arabic and Iranian influence.
“America you’re the one making the terrorists, not me!” Oh how accurate.
Man, stakuyi really had the saddam hussein experience
Absurdly waking up one morning and realizing you are at war with half the world
@@im_back_mods8385 reminded of the Blowback podcast bit of Saddam demanding Bush put his dad on the phone to talk it out
Hot take, but we wouldn't be having all these issues in the Middle East is Saddam Hussein was still alive
@@godlymoose9118 that's not a hot take, that's just not true in any way you put it
@@NickSmith-fe7lp It's true, sorry that you fell for propaganda spoon fed to you by the military-industrial complex. Iraq was invaded for no reason other than they were more stable than the surrounding nations and that's not good for war, or crude oil prices. The US government justified the war by saying there were WMDs in Iraq, but immediately backtracked when the opposite was true. Say what you want about Hussein's Iraq, but it was leagues better than the current Iraq we have now.
Serbia was still named Yugoslavia until 2006
Technically it was only Yugoslavia until 2003, when it became the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro (transition from federation to confederation).
When you post, I'm happy and when I see you in pain because of all of this countries, I'm even happier.
Anything he does really just sparks happiness 😅
What a very realistic even the ending 😂
This was a very realistic run 😂
"Why is the United States attacking me?! I didn't do anything?!"
Just like the real Saddam!
Kinda yea
Yeah, besides genocideing the Kurds, the various human rights violations on his own people, training and harboring al-Qaeda personal, sadam Husain did nothing wrong
@@nikoclesceri2267 America didn't care about that. The desire to move away from the world banking system seems more likely.
@@nikoclesceri2267 it's a joke btw

The world was mostly peaceful until Stak gains control of the world's oil supply as Iraq and then America declares war him lol
How to start your morning:
1: a cold bowl of cereal
2: stayuki
Cup of coffee and a biscuit
I mean I have a bowl too it’s just a bong bowl lol
I do suggest Japan or Australia, you can really twist it using those two from 2000s, plus easy (Slow ish) start, you only get screwed if you ask for it
"Millennium Dawn" and "Middle East" are sentences that should never be combined
"The game was rig from the start" - Benny
I wonder if he could have done something differently to keep the U.S. happy. Overthrowing the U.S.-friendly Saudis and absorbing them to control all of the world's oil could have drawn U.S. attention, especially if his attempts to get out of debt through taxes increased oil prices (not sure if the AI is smart enough for that).
I don't think he explicitly did anything to increase U.S. relations save for cracking down on terrorists in Iraq originally. Maybe the terrorist population increased after assimilating nations which hadn't cracked down as hard (the coups probably didn't help). Would bailing out potentially anti-U.S. governments impact U.S. relations? He didn't exactly vet them all.
But yeah, this game isn't meant to be fair since the world isn't fair. Iraq in 2000 is not in a good spot.
Yugoslavia was still a thing in 2004. However, it was reduced to just Serbia, Kosovo and Montenegro. Later, Montenegro voted to leave and Kosovo did its thing and that is how we got Serbia.
pretty sure Kosovo left in 2000
I've been waiting for a a iraq video for oh so long
There are a couple things in this mod that I think you haven't noticed yet. If you look a bit down from your leader portrait, you'll see the Ideological Powers button. This allows you to see the unique effects granted by the ideologies various political parties are part of. Second, above the list of political parties, there are two arrows; click on them to open the expanded party view where you can attacks, promote or ban political parties.
11:30 damn this sh!t is insane. Could you imagine this happening in real life

The portrait of the leader of Jordan is a famous Egyptian actor called Amr Waked

It's hilarious listening to you say these things, but not realize its historical.

Dude peacefully unites most of the Middle East, should get a Nobel Peace Prize... gets war declared on him by Al Gore.
Peacefully? Er.. there were coups, which are decidedly not peaceful. Coups against Jordan and Saudi, both of whom are US allies. The US invasion was actually very realistic.
I love the variety of mods being used lately

Awesome Video man! You should try playing Sweden in Millennium Dawn, I personally think it's a very interesting country to play as. Hope you have a great day! 😁
Hearing Stakuyi spout "What the fuck!?" exclusively when playing Millennium Dawn perfectly sums up the mod.

13:45 Yugoslavia still existed until 2006 and consisted of Serbia and Montenegro.
and now with the latest update of millennium dawn iraq now have a focus tree
stakuyi finding out how to delcare war and stuff
the US : Hello there
I suggest to:
1)enable economic boosts for AI in the preset. US attacks Kenya over debt wars. It's as widespread in MD as AI going insane to grab their cores in OWB. Can be exploited to get attacked though...
2)manually set AI railroading in preset too;
3)probably use higher difficulty(yes, the unfairness meter) and instead just boost your country in preset to get yourself to position similar to normal difficulty, but thus boosting all AIs to level where they can stop suiciding themselves. Again, in MD AI kind of needs cheat boost to survive \/(-_-)\/
This puts me in physical pain.
I love how the Syrian Civil War just come to an end fast

Stakuyi, in case you didn’t know, you can gain more research slots through your decision tab once you have enough GDP.

I like your videos more than isorrow productions your hoi4 views are underrated
Iraq probably doesn't have a focus tree because they spent like six years under complete military occupation and several more under partial occupation. Like, their primary point in MD is basically just to get invaded. Iran has one partially for historical reasons and partially because its a regional power. And that's probably the devs priority; nations that are doing the influencing are probably a lot higher priority than the ones that just get conquered shortly after the start date. It could be interesting to do an Iraq focus tree, but it would basically amount to getting beat up by America, being its puppet for several years, then dealing with rebels for several years, then getting pushed around by more powerful neighbors, then dealing with ISIS, then getting pushed around again, then then dealing with ISIS again while being pushed around. The past 20 years have not been kind to Iraq and while a focus tree might be interesting, it would also be masochistic.
Yugoslavia actually did exist in this timeframe, it didn't form ahistorically. The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, as it was known, was not the whole of the former Yugoslavia, but simply a union of Serbia and Montenegro, existing from the dissolution of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia in 1992 until the secession of Montenegro in 2006
I need more!

me from Kenya: what do you mean again, we just capitalist we dont even have oil.
Serious question… didn’t we give biological weapons to Iraq for their war against Iran? So did they use all of them or did we go back at some point and get them back …. Without telling the public because invading a county to get back our weapons is bad for future business (of giving our weapons away to proxy wars) . 🧐
I found an article about the CIA giving chemical weapons to Iraq, not biological. Still a war crime, but a very different weapon. I doubt they could take the weapons back. You can covertly give something to a country, but taking them back is hard enough to do publicly, much less covertly. Considering the unstable nature of the region, no ruler would want to give up a weapon that could help win a future war.
They used all of them. Iran and Iraq fought for ten years, with no real changes during that time. (That was why the Saudis were so desperate for American help during the first Gulf War - they were terrified of the "bloodied Iraqi army", hardened by a decade of war. Then we got there and found out they'd lost all their experienced soldiers during the war with Iran, as well as the vast majority of their war materiel. Any WMDs they hadn't used had long since expired. Did none of the "smoking gun" people ever wonder why those weapons weren't used while we were whipping their butts the first time?)
Germany also send chimical weapons to iraq during the iran iraq war
@@kg7162 Point is, what was not used expired - chemical and bioweapons have a _very_ short shelf life.
@@DeaconBlues117 Also most of the "WMD" was just chimical weapons and the us took all of them during the first gulf war 1991
