So, Evan could just stay on a stern draw instead of doing a sweep at 3:13 (basically the whole time crossing the current), let the bow paddler supply the forward speed. I think that's why I was saying "fight" the current's tendency to push bow downstream. Still he was able to keep the bow on a better line past the wave than I usually manage. Nice.

If I was in a Wenonah Rendezvous here, I may as well fold my arms and sit there as it turns around and goes through backwards better than I ever could have paddled it going forwards. 😉 Well done stout yeomen!
