    I'd like to point out that the JD tractor that is pulling the 2 bottom plow at about the 5 minute mark, is a cab and has wheel weights. Just saying.

    kubota grand l 6060 and jd 4r sereies are great tractors own both for my company they 4r is one of the best jd out there now and kubota has their amazing engins both are goods tractors

    I like that the three point hitch cylenders are internal on the John Deere. That means there are no holes to chang to get the full range of motion. That has to be a better system for a quick hitch. It is
    neat that you can move the tractor from outside to aid in implement hookups. The 4000 serries also uses a rear planetary system axel. The John Deere has some great featurs, so I do not understandwhy John Deere does not choose to brag on these things. Instead, they choose to mislead people about the Kubota. Although the Kubota does not offer a self-leveling option on their loader, there
    loader valve is so much better on the Kubota, that you can raise the loader and curl the bucket at the same time to keep the load level. If you cannot use a loader any better than this guy, Kubota does
    offer a spill guard option (not mentioned), so you can get a full load on the bucket with out spilling material on the tractor instead of the partial load on a self- leveling bucket. Kubota uses a standard
    quick coupler for their loader, so you can use any brand of attacments ( offered on the Deere at additional costs) . Moreover, Kubota offers a hydraulic option, so you do not have to leave the tractor
    seat to swap out front loader attachments. The Kubota also offers Throtltle-up (a button on the joystick to raise engine RPM without changing the ground speed), Hydro Dual Speed (which give you ahi and low with in each transmission range) and Draft Contol. None of these features are offered on The John Deere. Both the Kubota and the John Deere 4720 (listed as a John Deere engine) have agreater displacement than the new 4R serries (Yanmar engine) tractor. The Kubota has a heavier front axel. The Kubota is a heavier tractor (except the cab model). Speaking of the cab model, why is
    the cab on the 4R serries so tiny compared to any other company? According to the spects, this little cab wieghs more than any of its competitors. People complained about the air conditioner does
    not keep the cab cool enough. I would think this tiny cab would not keep out the sun very well, although I could be wrong. For some reason, the Kubota uses a 17.5 inch rear R4 tire (as does every one
    else) wereas the John Deere uses a 16.9 inch R4 tire. In addition, The Down pressure kit sounds like a great opption. However, if I understand John Deere right, you have to loose the Top and Tilt optionin order to use it. I have the treadle pedal, and to me, there is nothing more natural than pushing forward to go forward and backward to go backward. I also know you will get used to which ever style
    you have very quickly. I think the guy on the Kubota is a retart. Although funny, you know he had to look down inorder to totally miss the petal all together. It would have been even better if he put his
    foot on the sterring wheel and fender looking for that pedal that mysteriously disaperard. You will also notice that he was able to get a full bucket on the nonself-leveling loader. One last thing, John
    Deere says that they have the steering components behind the axel to protect them compared to Kubota having their components in front of the axel (although not in this vedeo comparison). Go look at these tractors. Kubota has their components in front of the axel protected by a heavy sheild. The John Deer has their components beneath the front axel with out any protection. In conclusion, I
    am looking for a larger tractor. These are the highest hp tractors you can get with a hydostatic transmission, and I know I would be happy with either one eventhough they each have their good and
    bad features. When I see the back of the tractors, I would buy the John Deere. However, when I see the rest of the tractor, I see the lighter front axel, tiny cab and exposed steerin components, I would have to choose the Kubota. I just think they are better built and have more features, and I trust the Kubota engine more. I am waiting to see the new 2019 deluxe L7060 Kubota (M4-071). I love the
    new John Deere 5R serries tractors. they have everything. The new 5R serries has the nearest thing to a hydrostatic tractor you can get, short of the huge CVT tractors. They are just too big and too
    expensive.

      Robert S You're right. I passed on the 4066R and Kubota L6060 for a Kioti NX6010. I felt the Kioti had the best cab and I saved 20K not buying the 4066R. The money saved allowed me to purchase commercial level attachments and from my videos people can see that I've really put them to work.

      @MinnesotaEric Před 9 lety +1

      shohokuslamdunk The Massey is a well-built machine, but I liked the Kioti's cab layout better, and the Kioti was $6,000 less and offered a CAT1/CAT2 three point, a feature if you look at my uploaded videos, I have really taken advantage of!

    • @shohokuslamdunk
      @shohokuslamdunk Před 9 lety

      EricTheOracle I see. Kioti is a fine machine as well. Especially the new NX series. From your videos the Kioti engine seems to be pretty loud. Is that true? One thing I like about the Massey is that they are very quiet. even my 1533 with a tier 3 engine is pretty quiet.

    • @MinnesotaEric
      @MinnesotaEric Před 9 lety

      The engine is way quieter than the 4720. One CZcams user, Kapper, has both a 4720 and a NX6010, and in his first NX video pulling a rear blade clearing snow, Kapper, talks about how much quieter the Kioti is than his 4720. The tier 4 engines with DPF filters are all quieter than their predecessors-if for no other reason, the DPF acts like a muffler.

    I don't think you can buy a Deere 4R tractor with draft control. (Somebody correct me if I'm wrong) The Kubota L60 has draft control as an option you can purchase. You really can't plow without draft control, so the whole bit about Deere being better able to plow is a joke. For those unfamiliar with draft control, it's an option that let's the tractor automatically maintain tillage tool depth. The only way you can use 3 point hitch tillage tools on a tractor without draft control is if the tillage tool has depth stops, like tires or skids.

    • @stuartluig2911
      @stuartluig2911 Před 5 lety +1

      Yeah, they kept raising it up bc they would let it go down too far, the comparison wasnt even fair bc the kubota had the plow angled at an impossible way to pull, done by john deere obviously to make the kubota look bad, and it was super hard packed ground, the john deere with the plow was angled fine and in softer grass. I dont even know why i still like john deere.

    Also JD doesn't mention that the Kubota also has category II three point hitch, a lot more lift capacity, a six range hydrostatic transmission with 3 power shift on the go speeds, and a throttle up switch on the loader control. I've priced both and you get a lot more for your money with Kubota. I've used tractors for 30 years and I've never needed down pressure on a three point hitch. Don't see the big benefit on that. The JD apparently has more tool storage so you can fix it. If I need tools I walk over to my service truck. Also I like how they plow with the Kubota in hard packed clay and they plow with the JD in soft sod. Horrible sales video. I'll stick with Kubota.

      Brad- That is one of the dumbest replies I think I have ever read. Return on investment is huge. When it is time to upgrade or go bigger due to needs it is most definitely relevant.

      If you do your homework and know your needs you should choose the right one to start out with. Keep it till it's worn out. We still have a 1956 model still in the family that my great grandfather bought new. I know i will still be living on the same property till the day I die so my needs won't change.Like I said, resale value is irrelevant. I got my bases covered. Stupid reply? That's debatable!

      I don't want to give you the idea that I am John Deere bashing. I am not,I actually prefer to get a JD. That's where my heart is. Actually my dad has a 94 model 6400 and he and i both love it. I am just believe that their are many other good tractors out there that will do a good job for me at a more reasonable price. Although I would prefer to get a major brand that has been around for many decades and not one of the off brands. Although one has to be careful with JD too. I would never buy a JD lawnmower from Home Depot or Lowes for example.

    Kubota 6060 is 4x4, and full cab etc; I cant find a JD of this size with 4x4x; that cinches it 4 me

      4x4 is standard equipment on all 4R tractors. You can get a cab with them, too. JD's website IS a bit of a pita, but keep looking it's in there.

      +Anjie Baum JD contracts out components from all over the world. They are not made in Georgia like JD wants people to believe, they are assembled in Georgia from parts made from almost every nation. The 5065M has an engine Mexico(tag is right on the block), Hydraulics fro Brazil, Front Axle from India(on 2WD) and I'm told the transmission is made in China. The only thing I can find marked made in USA on the 5065M is the Cab. I'm not knocking Deere, they make good stuff but it's things like this video that shows how scared they are of Kubota. Like in the video where it talks about ride and stability and it shows the Kubota zooming across a rough grassy field and then cuts away to the Deere riding on a smooth gravel road. Don't even get me started on that ridiculous turning plow setup, that is plain and simple setup incorrectly on purpose on the Kubota and trying to plow a what appears to be ground that is so compacted it looks like a dirt parking lot and then the Deere is plowing loose dark soil with a layer of grass.

      Anjie Baum JD is a major corporation that has to answer to stockholders for profit margin which means anything they can do to decrease build cost becomes higher profits at the same price point which is what the stock market requires these days. that don't make it the best thing, but that is what they've got to do to stay alive......

    There’s a difference between a utility tractor (John Deere) and a compact tractor (kubota)

    • @strangerdanger1271
      @strangerdanger1271 Před 5 lety +1

      These two are both utility tractors. The size of the machine not the color determines the class.
