  • Stop paying all kinds of money on sterilized grain bags and instead buy a dozen pint jars and use cheap, CHEAP popcorn instead. For this Tek you don't need a pressure cooker for sterilization.

    i realy like that you share your background story as well. also after researching for weeks now, since i only want to grow for myself and only cullinary and medicinal....not the fun shrooms, i realised all the sterile hype etc is for comercial growing. less can work, and not all lab materials or hoodflows etc are nedded. so your method speaks to my needs. will atually start my first batch of oysters in a week. need stock up on jars and wait for lc to arrive etc.

    Too much work. I used to do this. The day prior, add 1 cup popcorn/grain, 160 ml water and 1/4 tsp gypsum to jar. Add lid. You’re spot on as far as the foil. I’ve been using unicorn bags for this and the tall skinny ones also work gr8 for LC.. Dont forget SHIP and mag bar. No flow hood needed. SAB suffices. I’m using unicorn bags for tool sterilization. Loops. Agar plug cutters. Syringes.

    • @mycopsycho3130

      Too much work? This is so simple a child can do it. And I don't see any reason for gypsum in these jars, the ph doesn't matter because colonization is so fast. I get full colonization in less than a week. No need to over complicate the Tek.

    • @mycopsycho3130
      @mycopsycho3130  Před 8 dny

      Sure, a grain to grain transfer. It has to be done in a still air box or somewhere very sterile because you have to open the sterilized jars to add colonized grain. This is why I prefer LC because you don't have to worry about the environment being clean. You can simply sterilize the injection port and needle and 💥 just like that your golden. This represents simplistic mycology. I use a 4.7g pressure canner, but I've got friends who have used this method for decades (yes for decades, buddy) because they grow intermittently and don't have any reason to spend the money. I see no problem with that at all, in fact that's why I created this channel, it's correct info for beginners in a world of misinformation. And killing the elitist idea that you need to spend a lot of money on stupid shit like pressure canners and expensive kits or pricey fruiting chambers.
