I'm shocked that in 25 years of Yugioh there has never been a monster that was named just "Dark Guardian", especially in early years.
It was an anime card in GX, so that is pretty early on in its history

german here: it was nonsense anyway. "Das ewig Liebe Wächter" would translate to "the ever love guardian" but in the most butchered way, the article is neutral eventhough yubel is female and the article for females is "die" a proper german name would had been "Yubel - ewig liebender Wächter" or "Yubel - die ewig liebende Wächterin" if you wanna translate the english version it would probably be something like "Yubel - liebender Wächter auf ewig"

16:15 IMHO people are sleeping on raidraptors a bit, purely because of Bloom Vulture, it is an absolutely insane insane card.
Special summon 2 from hand, any position, neither are negated. Then it also has the graveyard effect to do the exact same thing on the crack back.

yeah bloom was so enticing that i ended up sleeping on noir a bit myself but its also rather good....and brave strix makes rank up setups easier than ever

Looks like there is quite a bit of "filler" ultras in the pack so I expect snake eyes poplar to easily hit the £40+ range. Secrets for the most part also are duds.
Very underwhelming main box tbh.
As usually people just go the singles. Pulling from the packs is almost always gonna be a neg.

Populus ultra not bad, not super like OCG but at least not secret. Both princess and populus ultra maybe coz konami already seen how fire deck beocme so expensive so they hold back of making one of em, or even both, secret rares. Thought at least one of em will be secret knowing konmai TCG. Tho they both pob will be over $40-50 ultra anyway.

The problem with the tiamaton counter trap is that the moment your opponent sees you use it, they'll put the cards you need to negate in the same column as your cards you want to keep

I think we can see why card shops are struggling to sell boxes. 2 boxes and only 5-6 Ashened Cards for a TCG exclusive archetype. Terrible printing ratio
The pull ratio of Poplar and Princess is even worse! I always buy a box on release but this one looks like it has such a huge cardlist that it’s crazy inconsistent. It’s also the 2nd set that’s released in such a short period of time (Maze of Millenia like 2 weeks ago), 14 days after Nightmare releases we get Battles of Legend!!! It’s actually ridiculous how much product there is in the beginning of the year.

Those 2 boxes were so trash,this set is a hard pass for me. Only good things I would pick up are populous and the promithian princess. That was so underwhelming to watch.
