At this point their idea of dealing with current tier 0 decks is just to accelerate the power creep so that other decks catch-up in power with snake eyes. This of course is a terrible idea
@@BezimiennyMarcel the sad part is pre INFO, the format is probably one of our healthiest yet if you were to take Snake Eyes out of the equation. This all gets thrown out the window with Fiendsmith, but hopefully that will get fixed with a ban to Beatrice and Caesar eventually.

Telling us when the ban list is coming is a good start đ they know the power screep is gettijg out of hand. Printing meta cards at higher rarities and then having to delay bans because of their printing practices is catching up to them since every set now has really powerful cardsđ
Make goat format normal and release new cards for that with extremely limited powercreep

For mimighoul there is a combo where you can flipp "guard dog" on your opponents turn and lock them out of special summons, with the field spell out of normal and can even bring negates/interruptions on the field + 2-3 opponents hand card removel with the one mimighoul and "fire Sorcerer"

The spell card with the ojama in the art can be used on black metal dragon, equipping two more copies from the deck and then link summon striker dragon. Now you get to search 3 red eyes cards at once plus boot sector launch.

The Dragon Pendulum can be summoned off of Centurion special summoning herself, since she's a trap card while in the S/T zone.

I really want the Mimighouls to be good. I worry that they wont stand up to the... other stuff in this set.

The point of no return has already been reached in 2020 when Konami started to make products without an anime in addition with the master rule revision. We just haven't noticed it because of Covid. Now we have a cycle of degenerous engines based on a big lore which replaces the anime based cards in the sets and also recycling of old cards, because nostalgia sells. And this cycle will keep going for years because this community has so much meta sheep who keep buying this overpriced cards while complaining how bad things are
â@thomashalbgottschalk8461 completely agree. The anime and manga required people to sit down and think of card effects then come up with outs for them. While it wasn't perfect it set a prebalanced set in a way. It's always the lore cards that just break the game. I just want people to build a deck off of an archetype they like and the only thing holding them back is devk building skills and how they pilot.

The game was already at the point of no return even with an anime. The Vrains era kickstarted the largest jump in power creep the game has ever seen, and hasn't really stopped since then.

Mimighoul is very strong when you use older flip cards that are usually really bad, you can lock your opponent out of normal and special summoning with guard dog
I'm pretty pumped for Mimighouls. Not because I think they're broken I just love the flavor of giving the opponent a mimic and when they open it they get punished. Very on flavor for the rpg enemy.

yes, also nova(which is made infinitely better by the new main deck monster since it has a on sumon effect) is still somehow 15 bucks even though the deck is barely playable
Core sets always feature only new cards and no reprints. I mean you can't play any legacy support in this set without having the original cards, so buying additional cards is always needed
The mimighouls deck gimmick is that you play the field spell to lock the opponent from normal summoning and attacking with special summoned monsters. If they want to play yugioh they have to flip the mimighoul monsters you gave them. All the flip effects are benefitting the mimighoul player and create minus for the non mimighoul player. After flip summoned they comes back to your field and if your turn starts they get big to finish the duel. You can also reveal other flip monster with maker for example cyber jar to destroy the field. You never want the flip effect activate on your field. That's why all the monster have the same effect to special from hand to your opponents field. There is one mimighoul card that can be a 1 card link 4 monster.
So you basically have to draw an out to the field spell? This deck sounds very annoying, only way to out the mimighouls being flipped in the non-mimighoul-player persepctive, without generating plus for the Mimighoul-player, is by tribute summoning? Which you can't with the field spell active?
@@epicci8469 Tribut summon is a considered a normal summon. You can't do shit unless you destroy the set monster or send the set monster for example diabellstar her summon condition, but even if they send ur flipped down monster you can set the diabellstar via the spell mimighoul maker or as a quick effect from the mimighoul master
@@epicci8469 yes, out the field spell and you are good to go, but the problem is, you cant activate lightning storm because you will have a monster on your field that can easily flipped up before you can activate lightning storm and evenly matched is pretty useless against this deck because you can summon a bunch of monster to their side of field, heck even Impern is not doing shit against this deck, because you can just summon the mimighoul to the opponents side of field and then activate all your monster effects

I mean you can special summon three of four mimighoul monster to your opponents side of the field and no monster locks you into mimighoul right? So it's possible to summon five monster nit nibiru only sent face up monster đ imagine activating field spell and maker, maker reveal morphing jar and some other flip monster and your opponent gets the morphing jar. He has to flip it up to play the game đ

@@ShadowMario97 Ah, I forgot about that the only other deck that came to mind with the Mimighoul cards that could work with was Tindangles many of which are Flip monsters.

Well, I guess Maxx Sea will be an okay budget option for people who won't be able to afford Maxx 3.
Drawing 2-3 cards on average on the opponent's turn is still better than drawing nothing at all. It should still pressure the opponent into making a less crazy end board that you could still break or play through (lest they let you resolve what is effectively Pot of Greed).
Another thing you have to consider is that people may try to include cards in their decks going forward that'll let them special summon more from the hand or GY during their combo while Maxx 3 is live in order to make the opponent draw less cards, so thats where a card like Maxx Sea could actually be somewhat useful.
