I just ordered the new 2024 ebony one with the gibson headstock, true gibson pickups, correct neck profile, real pearl inlays, maple cap and better body binding with a groovy hard case all for £1089.00.. Absolutely stunning and as close to the original..minus nitro
I just got my epiphone les paul fixed, and it sounds great. It's a black and cream colored one from the 90s. Basically, the reverse color of yours. With amber colored knobs .
Bought one today LP Custom Alpine 5/3/24 mom and pop music store in thousand oaks california , new with case $1100 out the door, friday sale. This has same components as gibson $5800 custom LP and finally the proper headstock..........weight 8.19lbs
Hi Don! Awesome that you support a local mom-and-pop store! I love that. What components are you talking about? ALL the electronics? I would be interested to learn more...thank you for commenting!
Excellent review! You have gravitated towards a top seller on price, looks and sound. I hear there has been some minor cosmetic issues, but this guitar is in demand. I love my Epiphone Les Paul Standard plus top pro. The ProBucker pickups sound fantastic on my Katana 50. I feel inspired enough to try out your Custom next time I’m in my local music store. Many thanks!
Thank you! I really like this...could be hundreds of dollars more expensive. Smooth to play and sounds rock solid. I definitely recommend testing it out. Plus, the Gold hardware is stunning! Let me know how you liked it if you got a chance to test it.
I was really impressed when I got mine a few months ago. It's a really solid, extremely versatile guitar - it looks and sounds brilliant too! Always wanted a Custom, but Gibsons cost around 5K! Very happy with my Epiphone. Many thanks for the video.
Yes, Gibson LP Custom's price is....well, salty, haha. This is an excellent more budget-friendly option. I love it. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment!
haha. yes. But this one was the last for now...some other cool guitars are coming...And. The looks are simple, but this just works. Just like a black car.
Just noticed that of all the new IBG Epiphone's the custom LP is the only one with the regular Epiphone bridge. The others have the abr1 bridge with thumbwheel adjustment. Don't understand why they didn't use the same on the custom.
Oh, didn't notice that. Maybe new Epi Customs have a bit higher manufacturing costs overall and they wanted to bring those down with this different bridge choice? Thank you for commenting!

These are one of the best guitars to get! Keep as is or mod it. It's a solid instrument for the money.
I agree. The best traditional Les Paul under $1000 IMO!

Nice looking LP.
yes, stunning. I love it...if the brand name were hidden, it could be mistaken for Gibson...
You seem to be on an LP quest lately 😁 That gold hardware looks good, it usually does on white or black guitars imo!

@@guitaristnextdoor8430 probably. If could get on it'd be the new 59 LP with the iced tea finish. They have Gibson custom shop pickups.
Reminds me to clean my les paul😂
haha!
You should have waited a month and you could have got better PUs and a Gibson open book headstock now that the new Epiphone custom releases are out.
Maybe...didn't know about those back then. Buut. this is really cool still IMO! thanks for commenting!
