Malikia had bad body language and bad eye contact. Her responses were abrupt. All of these things together gave off a "guarded" message to the guy. I also got the feeling that she didn't feel like she deserved his interest.

The tips I would give malikia is to maintain eye contact and be more confident
maintaining eye contact is a good piece of advice but the "be more confident" part is just not that simple. Being confident isn't like "maintaining eye contact" which is a simple thing to do. Being confident takes time and effort.

Malikia knows what to say, but I wouldn’t say it was perfect. Her body language and lack of eye contact said, “Don’t look at me. I don’t think you’d find me attractive.” To a man, that comes across as, “I’m not interested. You’re wasting my time.”

She actually wasn't interested. Her responses were too well thought out and she was too composed. Her body language was closed and distant. Those are clear indicators of lack of interest.

Hit it right on the head. The reason that the second woman was so composed is because she wasnt interested. The reason that the first was tripping all over herself - she was very interested.

It was too much pressure on these young ladies. They already think they don’t know how to flirt. Then Steve has these 2 attractive guys for them to flirt with--in front of an audience -- on national TV!!! . The 2nd young lady did better. But she couldn’t even look at the guy and she initiated no conversation, just answered his questions. Flirting takes practice. It’s not something you just decide to do. But the girls need to get a little more confidence and that’s a whole other subject for a whole other segment! I wish them luck. They’re both pretty ladies and have something to offer.

The first date or not even that but just when a guy or lady (how Wendy says “How You Doing?”) approaches you it’s all about finding out if you even vibe with this person to continue to a second date or exchange numbers.
