    Kristofer just in case you don't see my last vide you kind of said something in your last video that really got me back into the game. So thank you. I think that chat about needing a carrot and doing an ironman to make sure you are always striving for something really sunk in. Any chance we can get an update as to where you are at in your ironman? What skills are maxed, what are you still working on, what do you DO to keep your PVP machine running etc.
    ALso, do you feel your aim has improved on FS also, and how long do you think it took?

    3:08 tipical fire Staff situation, hit the groud 4m away from the opponent and do 3600damage. Seems fair to me, miss a shot and still do 4k damage

      And in the same breath bots will say Bow or Musket is op when you actually have to land projectiles, on awful servers might I add.

    Have said since PTR that firestaff is able to stack damage of multiple abilities due to the speed of animations now; more so than they used to. Now that animations are more reliable/snappy I am hoping they adjust it so firestaff can't drop the nukes like this. It's the same fundamental problem as BB as well... this sort of nuke ability isn't fun. Note: I play FS.
    Also would clarify that things like musket sticky bomb + landing another shot is a fine nuke as its component parts are all able to be reacted to. The BB and FS nukes you are just f'd if they land on you. It'd be a different story if these were broken up like musket does with the sticky bomb and there was some more skill to landing the 2nd/3rd attacks in combos. Most BB or FS players I am playing with are macro heavy to land the combos.

    Fs has felt like shit to me since patch, every third basic attack will fly off into space, its been the same with bow musket and vg. Apparently this only affects some users. But all ranged has been unplayble to me

    This is the reason why in my tank build I have to use 3 vigor and fire protection perk and yet everything ends up killing me a fire staff in opr

    I don't understand why every wave of artifacts that come out is a naked scaling power increase for ranged dps builds who were already a problem and oppressive before expansion. It's a non-stop train of scaling ranged dps and ideas that we have to swat down that come out of AGS for ranged dps in PTR that didn't even make it to live despite AGS attempting to spike Ranged dps builds to the moon even harder.
    Phoenix was going to be a straight ranged dps buff in its original form. Original Boltcaster in its original form was a toxic pos idea. It's crazy how consistently AGS is pushing melee out of the game who doesn't have a BIS pocket healer.

    How long would I need to grind pve before I could be competitive in pvp?

      The hard part is getting the artifacts. Featherweight + Pestilence or Abys + Ankh. You need to Grind PvP. Take 10 forts per day, do OPR and three faction missions per day so you can get PvP tracks to get the PvP artifacts and track gear. Then Use Dense materia at Kiln to buy specific pieces with shirking heals/fort attribute. Or to upgrade PvP track Items. Helm of the Bear, Woodgrain gauntlets + Empress Zhao gear all GS 700 with health + Fire Harnessing (+2 fire dmg) and you'll be set.

    natures wrath was good but after shadow nerf naah. or maybe its just broken now. anyways damage is not that huge anymore. tho it was _broken_ from the start so..

    FS has been so shit to play against even as a medium dps, the projectile hitboxes are absolutely massive and its far too rewarding for missing your shots. FS should not be the burst DPS weapon it has become. Literally anyone can put on a firestaff and drop 20+ kills in OPR for next to zero effort.

    How do I deal with all of that bullshit? Play RuneScape instead! At least until AGS gets their head out of their ass. I have over 2600hrs in NW and played one S5 OPR and logged back out due to how it felt

    because attunment perk is broken and has been for like 2 years now. all these bonus free dmg from attunement perk and gems which is up to like 30% bonus dmg on every hit makes many weapons totally unabalnced like muskets or fire staff. or slow on every melee hit. the game has terrible pvp balance and lack on OPR map or carriages, PVP content

    Guys I am thinking about returning to this game yet again as I've quit somewhere mid season 2 for the second time.
    Now according to steam reviews the dlc is overpriced like a motherfucker, but is it mandatory to remain competitive in Arena/OPR/OWPvP? If so should I wait until the dlcs on sale?

      You need to be lvl 65 with gs 700 gear to be competitive AND have three artifacts. So yes. Its mandatory.

      @@stefanbatory4488 I'm showing 29.99 on steam for the DLC. Very worth it imo. Of course there is going to a group that considers that overpriced and they will be the loudest. The lack of subscription fee.

      I really enjoyed expansion, and I really don't see how it's expensive. Ppl are 20 years in on monthly subs on wow and still pay 60 bucks for those expansions. Compared to that shit this is soooo cheap.

      @@fooojin It's not even about the money but rather respecting your playerbase. For instance I play Hunt: Showdown and I do pump money into Crytek every now and then, and it's mainly because their approach to the playerbase and content creation is not as out of touch as it is in the case of AGS.
      I mean if you hide basic features like transmog, gear sets or mounts (which are a standard at this point) behind any paywalls then I feel less encouraged to pay because it feels more like a tax and less like a transaction if you get me.
      And tbf I dont play wow. NW at release was the first mmo I picked up in almost a decade since and it was mainly because of the action combat.

      Definitely something wrong, spear will track me and teleport the user behind me with each hit even with 30% haste and stoneform when the spear user has no haste.

    firestaff first time in opr yersterday with rapier
    got top 5 every time. OP weapon for opr because you can burn clumps and kill people solo with distance. This weapon needs to be nerf in some way.
    Also spear needs slight nerf

    Huge hitbox,huge damage even if you have %60 fire protection, almost all the skills can be animation cancel, stupid ass splash damage, you can heavy or light from a fuking 1000000 meters away, only unskilled garbages plays with fs since season 3 anyway, people says there is no cc on fire staff that is why it have all those perks, i would rather to have some cc on firestaff instead of being that much op, thank god the game will be dead in a few months.

    This video is filled with misinformation and it’s kinda infuriating. Auto canceling at the end of abilties is nothing new on firestaff and have been in the game for a long time. The empowers on firestaff aren’t not permanent. They have conditions that have to met, 1- be above 50 percent mana and the other is to not take damage for 3 seconds and you get 5 percent empower each. Rune of Helios has an 8 second duration.
    The reason why firestaff feels so oppressive is because of smolder and how easily it is applied. The damage output from firestaff is lower than bow or musket but it easily applied 5 stacks of smolder that’s ticking for thousands of damage very rapidly. Dots in general across the ranged weapons are over powered and need to be looked at. While they might be easy to manage. They are not permanent empowers. You can easily lose these empowers.
    It’s also more irritating that a musket player is talking about other weapons having animation cancels when musket has had several animations removed from its kit. Now you just instantly load CPB into the weapon with 0 animation. Before you could at least see when a musket player loaded it in, due to the special animation now you just press and fire. It’s complete bs.” If you ask me, and there is another ability that works the same way. Also the fact that musket has 0 animation when firing a shot you can just sit there from 100 meters and just fire whenever you want. While a Fs or any mage weapon has a slow and telegraphed auto attack that hits for 1500-2000 on average to light targets while muskets hit for 4k. Your playing musket and upset about firestaff. That tells me you aren’t playing musket correctly. Play to muskets strengths and not its weaknesses. Playing in range of a firestaffs abilities is on you. If you played 30-40 meters away, you win the majority of the time vs a firestaff.
