Hey! I’m looking to build a modular one of these for my wedding. Basically cut it in half for travel so I can assemble it together at my wedding. Would you ever share the plans for this??
So unfortunately I don’t have plans for anything I build. It’s more of a let me fit this to this specific situation. Looking at your page I don’t think you’ll have any issues making it work for you.
Hard to say since I just do this in my free time nights and weekends. The kerf cuts alone did take around an hour or so. I’d say around 10 hours of work maybe.
Would this work safely as a standing bar?(not fixed to anything?) and second question! Would there be a way to make it 3 parts so it was easily portable by van/car and put together ? Thinking for a moveable bar!
Yes you could make it work as a standing bar I would just add weight to the bottom. As far as making it portable you could definitely frame it in 3 sections instead of one complete piece. Then just use some latches to pull/hold each piece together. The size would still make it tough to transport in a car. Possibly a van. I would also do some type of vertical design on the front instead of just plywood to hide the seams of each section. Hope that helps.
I played around with some scrap lumber first to get my bend. With the front I tried cutting small pieces at a slight angle and pocket hole screwed them together. If I had to do it again I’d relief cut both of them.
We want something similar like this at our wedding. What was the cost of this to make? My dad is a contractor and has plenty of tools to put this together.
What an absolute FUN father & son project. Very cool. The whole bottom piece came out GREAT!!
It was an awesome learning experience for me!!
You guys made that look way too easy. Good stuff. Excited to see the finished product
I’m just the workhorse. Dad does all the thinking. PS I think you may be my biggest fan.

Very very nice counter table😮😮😮
Thanks, still a work in progress
Looks great. Cool idea.
Thank you!!
Love this look. Did you ever decide what to do with countertop? I would be interested in how you finished it.
Funny story on that one. I ran out of time before I moved so ended up putting a Formica top on it. One day I’ll make a sweet epoxy top for it!
Do you have a material list for it
They do make metal track you can curve to any radius
That could be helpful.
I’m building something just like that and plan to model mine like yours. How many hours did you put into it. Including test cuts and all?

I'm attempting to build a very similar bar. How deep did you make your miter saw cuts in the 2x4 and how did you bend the inside toe kick?
I played around with some scrap lumber first to get my bend. With the front I tried cutting small pieces at a slight angle and pocket hole screwed them together. If I had to do it again I’d relief cut both of them.

Cool
Thanks!

Not to bad 4 sheets of birch plywood and some 2x4’s for the base. It has been a fun project.
How thick of plywood did you use?
3/4” Birch plywood
