My wife is going to be so mad because I'm now putting cement countertops on everything. The couch, her 4-runner, the kids, etc... Awesome video.
Lol 😂 that’s hilarious 😆
I agree because of this video and all the others I'm doing my whole kitchen..
Don't worry about it after 31 years of marriage and the kids move out she will probably dump you anyway!
1Greydad I can’t afford any more wives.
@@napd6681 One was enough for me! LOL!
I've seen people who have been doing CZcams for years and their videos aren't as entertaining, informative, and to the point as yours are! Hard to believe you've only made 2 videos! 👌👍
Yes
Well Said!
Rob Basque hahahahaha I’m definitely not showing this to me wife
Lol 😂
I agree... You have that special skill in being able to teach and explain while adding humor. Keep up the great work my man!
Dude...watching a video on a concrete countertop tutorial should be entertaing and informative. You nailed it.
Oh my go thank you so much!
Thank You Michael. My husband always promised to show me how to build and use tools. I loved watching your first video. I won't ever have the experience of buildings he passed away 2 weeks ago of cancer. He wasn't as kind or patient as you but I love him. You made me feel better. Thanks Mike I needed that. I will be your biggest fan
If Home Depot was smart, they’d sponsor you in a heartbeat.
You’ve got the it factor, Mr Builds 👍
Lol 😂 thank you so much! I keep tellin them lol
I work at THD... LOVE the shoutouts, perhaps they would Monetize?
Keep them coming Michael! The most informative and entertaining DIY blog I've seen so far.
LOL, I got a kick out of this: 14:57 where you're so proud of your work. Well, I agree... you rock!
Lol 😂 thank you so much!
This guy is completely amazing. I don't chuckle nor do I smile much watching CZcams. But this guy made my day. Full of energy. I will be looking forward for more videos.
Oh my god Darin! Thank you so much! I can’t tell you how much that means to me!
Your editing skills and use of transitions are awesome. I will be using this video as a "how to" guide in my Video Production class. The thought, planning, effort, and concern for detail in the production of this video is appreciated. Keep up the great work.
Oh my god Brian! Thank you so much!!! I can’t tell you how much that means to me! I’m so glad your not using me as a “how-not too” lol 😂
I noticed the professional editing. Its AWESOME.
I literally know nothing about building with anything but you're fun to watch👍 makes me want to learn how to do stuff like this or fun little projects.
I get so pumped up watching your vids. Can't wait to start my project this summer. Thanks for the video, so clean, helpful, creative and entertaining. HGTV should get you a job :)
5 Stars without a doubt!!!!! My wife even saw this video standing behind me & now she's pushing me to do this! :)
Lol 😂 I love this comment! Thank you so much Karl and Karl’s wife!
Just found you 2 days ago, and I'm psyched to see what you make from now on. I'm a granite countertop guy who has long thought of doing concrete, and your method makes it so much easier,
Excellent! Just bought my 5th house and I'm gonna redo the kitchen counters borrowing many of these techniques. A+!
What kinda of person would give these videos a thumb down? They must really hate they’re lives. Another great video.
I'm crying 😆 the concrete bowl 😁 i can only imagine the inside of his house has concrete countertops and pallet legs everywhere! Lol 😆 great job as always
cheers my friend. because of you i'll be doing my kitchen counters, a grill and coffee table. please keep up the good work and keep inspiring others.
Oh man a grill sounds like a great idea.
Careful with the grill...any moisture in the concrete will cause it to crack or explode.
@@ChfBgTlk Do you mean let the concrete fully cure, and/or the concrete probably needs to be sealed? (or i guess keep rain out of it)
snowpaw360 to be honest, I'm not really sure. I know you cant use regular bricks or stone to make a fireplace because of risk of explosion. I imagine moisture will be in the mortar or concrete even after it is cured. But if you are putting a heat barrier between the grill and the concrete and the concrete does not reach 212 degrees, you'll be fine.
Some sort of thermal barrier/break will solve the issue. Steel or firebrick. There’s a solution to almost everything.
Thank you for being so skilled and sharing that with us and you are fun to watch. Keep the videos coming. And we will use these techniques for our new home in a few months. Stay warm!!
Dude .... I'm in tears !!! Easy to understand AND easy to do !!! Your videos have high entertainment value. You have no idea how much good Karma you are getting from the knowledge you are giving others. ....Thank You !!! Peace from Dallas Texas.
Ah, man! It's been a while. So glad you're still out there inspiring us all! Hope you and yours are safe and healthy! Hold my...
...nah, to easy!
Just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for your videos. I recently purchased a house (short sale) with water damage that had been abandoned for 3 years prior. Yes took care of the mold issue because of it. I have to completely redue the kitchen. I do not want to spend BIG DOLLAR prices on counter tops and many years ago I saw a person who made a cement counter top that when finished was friggen beautiful. Not your method of course but I want to do the same. Now I can with your videos and what I have experienced years back. You give me great incentives to build my own for my new first home. Oh and btw, put die in the mortar mix for different color counter tops. I liked and subscribed and please keep up the AWESOME work. I am 200% sure you have helped many other people as well. Just look at your sub growth.... My thought, because of the expense of counter tops to date, the industry rapes the consumer. This is why I was so thrilled to come across your videos... Cannot thank you enough...
Thank you so much David! I can’t tell you how much your comments mean to me! That’s what this video is all about! I can’t wait to put out more content!
Hey David I don’t know if you’re aware but the Dyes are very limited in color BUT. IN the paint department at Home Depot they have concrete stain in lots of colors blacks reds browns , it goes on dry concrete like paint but it dries like oil or varnish would in a clear thin manner and it looks amazing. I got a gallon to match my tile and it’s super affordable. There’s brochures on it there as well. You can even use a pump sprayer or spray bottle to apply it
Glad you made another video. You explanation is awesome
with just two videos I'm subscribed! absolutely love how you pour the concrete. your inspiring me to take the leap with my kitchen sink counter top. thank you for the techniques and God bless you with more ideas and videos. I'm and older lady and I think this could be the way I can finally have a solid pretty counter top that I can afford.
So it appears I am not the only one running to the depot for materials after watching your videos. Dude you are awesome and you make it look so easy and fun. I'm straight up making one of these because of you. Thank you!

I'm planning a G-gauge garden railway and I need to cast a viaduct with arches. This video has been very helpful, thanks.
I enjoy so much your videos bro thanks for the videos
You can't go wrong by opening a stout. Nice job.
I am in precast concrete and cast stone bussiness for last twenty years and I have done it all but still I learned from your detail explanation. thank you, you'r the best.
Thank you so much Shawn! What an awesome comment!
You're my spirit animal. I can watch you all day. You make it seem so easy
Dude these are awesome, I’m building a new patio and now I want to put outdoor cabinets with Batman themed countertops. Thanks for sharing
I approve! 👍🏻😉
Dude! just a few videos and it's like you've been on these CZcams streets a long minute! A natural!
Thank you so much!
So glad I came across this. I was thinking about resurfacing some existing laminate countertops but wanted to move cabinets around in 'L" shape configuration in basement. This is what I will be doing, without the curve.
Dude. I watched one video for a table and now im seeing a curved Decepticon bench? BADASS!
Thank you. You are a professional person and your ideas are valuable and beautiful..... انت شخص محترف و افكارك قيمة و جميلة شكرا لك
You're videos are amazing! Keep up the good work...
KBS... nice choice! Beer points! Always remember beer has food value, but food doesn't have beer value!
OMG, I'd love to make a bar for Hubs for Father's Day. Brilliant! You are hysterical!
Can't wait for the next videos. You've given me so many ideas in just two videos. My wife might be annoyed with all the concrete projects to come from this lol.
Lol 😂 sorry wife! Hahaha
You are so awesome. The work you do is so inspiring. Thanks for the uploads. I'm sure going to have a go using your methods.
Me too. Thank you for the ideas, the techs and directions
Just what I needed!
Putting in a patio & want a concrete top for a fire pit...Now I know how! Keep em coming !.
Thank you so much!
Thanks Michael. I used your videos as a guide and built a fireplace mantle. It turned out great so I really appreciated the assistance and your help will be remembered each time I look at the fireplace. Great videos with lots of instructions done in a funny delivery style. Keep it going.
This is like my 3rd time watching this video! It never gets old, keep up the great work M!
Thank you sir, your an inspiration and an excellent instructor. keep up the good work!
cool, I could watch this all day. Reuse of old materials is great. You have given me motivation to create some projects around the outside of my house.
Thank you so much John!
Michael, Michael, Michael God has bless you and you are sharing that blessing with others, I am blessed with your videos and so are many. Keep on going brother and thank you so much.
This man is Ryan’s toy reviews but for adults!! He is great!
Lol 😂 thank you so much!
Hahaha as a father of two I thought the same exact thing. Agreed!!!
You make it look so easy
I just found your videos today and WOW. I have had ideas for DIY projects here at my house. I could never come up with a way to do any of it in a timely, or cost effective way. The 2 big items on my list was: 1) Extending kitchen counter top space, and maybe even upgrade what was there. 2) build a coffee table that I like.
I guess I don't have to tell you what I will be doing in the near future.
THANKS and like other followers I will take pictures.
Once again THANKS
Brother. you are officially the King ... I'm 100% using these technique in my outdoor kitchen build
That’s what I’m talkin about John!
Informative, creative, entertaining and hilarious. A lot of promises!
I'm going to be all in the cement dept now..love this.
Lol 😂
Yes! You've shown me what I was doing wrong before, and now I've got it right.
Also, you obviously have fun doing the work and making the videos. No macho posturing to distract from the solid construction and artistry. Thank you!
Thank you so much Steve!!!
I’m in the middle of renovating my kitchen. I watched your first video and was trying to figure out how to mount a sink, now I know.
I've been looking into making my own outdoor counter top and yours looks amazing!! you made it look so easy and fun, I cant wait to make it before summer is here..thank you so much
Thank you so much Ana!
DUDE!!!...You’ve done it again !👍🏽😃
You are two for two...for knocking it out the ballpark ☄️Keep up the great job you are doing...🤙🏽
In love with your videos!! I NEVER EVER leave comments to any channels, but I just accidentally landed on yours looking on how to make cement counters and you were right! I'll never watch another "how to". Your energy, to the point videos. AMAZING! Thanks! Looking forward to more videos!
Oh my god thank you so much! You have no idea how much I appreciate comments like this! You totally made my day!
Beautiful, and with such ease as you built this counter top. Thanks for sharing your talent and tips.
Cheers... And thank you for your hard work and dedication to the video. Great work.🤘🤙👍
You do a great job on the editing and explaining the process
Wow,amazing.I love your techniques and how to videos, materials like the inner moldings I never thought of using.Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge!
I love using concrete and this is one of my favorite designs. Very well done!
That is so freakn' cool. LOVE IT!
Your videos are awesome. Keep them coming so I can make my wife think I'm a genius.
Lol 😂
You make this look so simple and it motivates me to do something fun for the Man Cave! Thank You
I really like the fact that you use non special order items. I think I will use this technique to make a fire pit. Of course using fire bricks within the concrete base to handle the heat. Thank you for the design idea!
I've gotta try this.
Well done, it looks amazing.
One of the best how to vids on here. In process of making table top for my deck. Now I know how to do it right. Thanks.
Thank you so much Rick!
This guy is a freakin’ genius! I love this stuff!
another awesome video Michael
I love your videos!!! I can’t stop watching this videos
Lol 😂. Thank you so much!
You are absolutely awesome. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise. You are saving me thousands of dollars as I'm doing countertops myself, for my kitchen. I'll send you pictures.
Can't wait to try it. I watched your how to make a counter top in an hour video and this was just icing on the cake. Keep it up. Can't wait to see more!! Thanks,
Thank you so much Stan! That means a lot to me!
Told you brother..you earned those 34k subs..your content is awesome! Keep em" coming Michael, And the subs will follow....
You're off to a running start with this YT thing! And well deserved, great videos. It would be great if you could do one on finishing and sealing a concrete countertop.
Now, this was a happy fellow and with good reason: owner of very nice self made table tops. Thanks for the very useful and entertaining education video!
Be sure to remind everyone to use a facemask and safety glasses when mixing Concrete... ESPECIALLY when you add the Flow Control. It's very fine powder. Better in the concrete than in your nose, mouth and Lungs! FANTASTIC video!
Awesome! Turned out great!
you are so very skilled and knowledgeable. Love your videos man! Keep it up.
Best DIY show on CZcams so fun and accurate and well explained - likable
You have taught me so much. I am so fascinated by your skills. I am so going to do this.
Another hit!!!! Loved it. Except your your supposed to say..."You know what time it is, DEPOT RUN!!!" Before u head to the depot. LOL
Lol 😂
I missed that in this video too, was kind of looking forward to it, lol! But, then again, they should sponsor you for that kind of publicity...
I 100% agree, it should be his catchphrase! And if he keeps getting as much publicity as he already has, they might offer a sponsorship.
Wow you make it seem possible. Now want to do my bathroom and kitchen
Looks awesome great project I'll try to do it for my backyard
You are awesome! I am doing the counter top for my outside kitchen. Thanks for all the tips and materials used...I did not even know they existed! HGTV is missing out!
Great production and very helpful tips! THANKS!
I've watched almost all of your videos over the last couple days and absolutely love them. I really want to make a bar similar to this for my deck, since I have a few pallets laying around that I've been trying to figure out some sort of project to use them with.
That’s what it’s all about brother!
Great build. Just watching your video I think I could actually make this! Just subscribed!
You are the fooken king of concrete counter tops. That molding for the edge. Brilliant.
Beautiful beautiful beautiful
So, here's an idea: have plexiglass strips in place of the cement gravel as your designs and have a block behind them in the mold like what you did for the sink. Then when it's all finished you'll have space for a battery and LED's for a back lit design.
Also, thanks for these video's! I'm definitely gonna make a table when it's not frozen out
Huh?
@@tvc380 Huh to the frozen or huh to the back illumination?
So you mean make a sink knockout and glue the plexiglass design to the part that will be on the top of the concrete table and then when u turn it over keep the plexiglass in with additional lights under the table? Cool
@@postalape5500 That's worded way better, yeah. I was just wanting to see some back lit designs
Good job! I'd like to see you do a polished concrete top with a glass like finish..maybe a kitchen island or similar..
That'd be awesome!!
Yes!!! Please add this to the list, Michael
I think this man could be the greatest countertop maker in the world..! Period.... Its my opinion.
Great job. Thanks for sharing. For the people that gave thumbs down, COME ON!!!!! Michael shared one of his projects I am sure many will do with adding their own little touch. Isn’t that why most people go on you tube. THANKS MICHAEL
I literally lol'd when I heard the sound effect when you popped out the plastic tubes.
Great vids dude!
See.... you get me lol 😂😉👍🏻
Your videos are awesome...i find myself watching all the way through because they are done so well and are entertaining
I would like to build a concrete side table with wooden legs or metal hair pin legs....please do a video on that!
You’re awesome man, never missing any details, the high energy, you’re videos will get really popular if you keep going. You should make a video showing how to make different mold shapes! Keep up the good work man👍
Keep the videos coming!!! I work construction, new and repairing concrete but no imagination at all, these videos are really good, already have a project list thanks to you 👍👍
