I’m a 60 yr old Scotsman and have just discovered this band in recent months, I have no words for how perfect they are in every way, and the bassist is ultra cool..we don’t have anything near to this here in Backward Britain. I’m eternally grateful for this gem from cross the Atlantic😍😍😍
That’s funny, the main influence of this kind of music is clearly English New Wave/Post Punk.
The Cure, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, New Order, Bauhaus etc.
@@danieltiller1421 yes daniel, it’s true that their influences came from mainly British bands, but what I actually was alluding to was the fact that we don’t have anything like Twin Tribes..but our music scene is just dreadful anyway..and I’ve turned a few friends to this band since stumbling across them..😀👊🏻👊🏻
There are plenty of great post punkers in Britain. You have to dig beneath the surface to find them.
@@aleckelly2706 : The British music scene was tops in the 80s and pretty damn good in the 90's as well, but I agree past the early 00's, the UK music scene has sadly been dwindling. NFD is probably one of the last good Brit bands I've heard and they've been around since the early 00's or late 90's.
Yeah, it is really weird! I got in to modern goth a years or so ago and since then have discovered dozens of amazing bands from all over the world. But none of them are from the UK where it all started. The closest that I can think of is Jazmin Bean. Especially for their 2024 album 'Traumatic Livelihood'. Maybe not exactly 'goth' or post-punk, but pretty close. And some of the best modern music from any country, of any genre!
TWIN TRIBES are officially the KINGS of DARK WAVE now. Well deserved.

I find it kind of funny that so few have tapped into this sound and aesthetic, as the desert makes some of the best gothic scenery/photography. It can be very inspiring

2:12 conocí a esta banda en Diciembre de 2020 en una etapa dura, conseguí mi primer trabajo y al mismo tiempo mi abuela resultó positiva en Covid... El 31 de diciembre estaba enterrando a mi abuela, conseguío ver qué conseguí trabajo en un buen lugar. Simplemente todo este álbum yo sé lo dedico aunque ella ya no esté conmigo 😪
