I use my stepfather's tools. I have 3 generations of his families carpentry tools. My stepfather lives through my hands and everything he taught me. I recently buried my father's ashes. I throw the things he gave me away. He was full of himself. 2 people were at his burial. Volunteer fire departments and the entire town attended my stepfather funeral. @@jnformisano6771 my Dad passed when I was 23. The most useful thing anyone said to me that entire year was, "if it hurts, it means he did a good job while he was here." When I remember that, it helps me put things into perspective. I was the first born, with quite a gap between myself and my siblings; I am the only one of his children that really remembers how loving he was as a father. The others remember him after his health issues limited him. I feel blessed that I am able to remember all the effort he put in, how hard he worked to make sure we were taken care of.

Right now I am wearing my deceased mom's pajamas; she passed away 5 years ago.
I understand what he speaks. I kept all my mothers belongings, I use it all in my home. When I mourned her very badly I knew I was not in a high vibrational space I knew I was weak and vulnerable and I was experiencing some subtle negative energy. But i would see my mother in my dreams very vividly and I would cry and cry she would never look at me but she would sit close. She was very warm to the touch and was always dressed in the clothing I had kept. But she would always tell me stop crying you need to stop or I will not come anymore. I went to church one day a healing mass to be exact and I cried all I could. It to me a week to feel different again. I prayed in that week. I felt new, happy. This like deliverance and you can't understand me if you never had the same experience or don't believe, I sound like a nut to you. My vibration was high even my eye color changed to a bright green. One day I had a very vivid dream and it lasted what felt like all night. I delivered my mother to the gates of heaven. It was beautiful beyond words. I drew my dream when I woke up. But I am a firm believer in all good and that evil does exist. Because now that I sit and think, when I was mourning her very badly I was at my worst in every negative aspect. And evil feeds off of that. It needs a vessel. but life is beautiful endure it. I am currently writing a book of my visions and experiences. May God be with you all 🙏🏽 and for those who don't believe in God, may all greatness in the universe be delivered to you 🙏🏽

Your dad may have been the best person in the world. It Doesn't matter. Unless done in a very specific way the act of leaving the body leaves its residual impact on its surroundings. It causes inertia which is not... let's say supportive towards life in physical form no matter what kind of relationship one has with that physical body. That is why one separates oneself from it. There is nothing negative about it. It's just how things work. You must not attach yourself with something that is not anymore.

I don't think he means they will bother you or haunt you, but that the persons journey to the other side will take longer because when we pass we will go around collecting our energy from anywhere we left it, which can be something like their favorite coat or blanket. Us keeping it and not wanting to let it go is holding them back from collecting that energy and interrupting the process. I completely understand though. I wouldn't want to wash anything that would remind me of my mother if she passed either. 😔
I knew a very kind woman , the Mother of a family friend.. who I was fortunate enough to know for a decade or so... she "passed' at 103 years of age, & was fully cognitive up until the day she left this world. At her funeral there were a number of her " personal possessions" to take at the door.......I immediately took a crystal carved elephant, ( I later found out she loved elephants). It holds pride of place next to the photo taken on her 100th birthday on my PUJA table.

I have listened to Grivantha Variyar from a child & we don't always need a Guru but at some point in our life only. Sadly not alway's true. My mom never knew love, and she didn't know how to love, so she never was able to love someone, not even her own 5 children. She past away 17 years ago. I feel sad for her upon to this day! I forgave her for not loving us!

It is said that memories are only good if they bring you joy. If they cause sadness or anger, they need to be released to set you free. 55 years ago, after he had been killed in the Vietnam War, I would hold his tee shirt on my face and breathe through it hoping that some of his cells would enter my body and remain there. Foolish? Maybe, but it was a way to deal with his absence. Now, that he is closer to me than ever, I no longer need physical attachments but the tee shirt is tenderly folded in my dresser drawer.

Very interesting discourse, and a priceless joke! Myself, I washed and gave all my late husband's clothes to the homeless here in England - it was what he would have wanted. But I kept his hat, because it was part of his personality. I think if an object embodies love, it does no harm to keep it. We all co-exist anyway, alive or dead, and our spirits will re-unite.
I kept some of my mums clothes, gave the rest to friends & family, who would appreciate & use them & the rest to charity. She was a beautiful loving woman, she made many of the clothes herself & would have wanted them to be worn by other lovely people.

Maybe a little more than a year after my dad had passed away, I slept on his side of what used to be his bed, and I distinctly heard his voice say my name when I woke up that morning! 😱 Up until that night, I had always been sleeping on what used to be my mom's side of the bed but had not experienced anything paranormal in the house up until then...(she was still alive at that time, but had moved to live with my sister...)

There are two aspects to consider of what the teacher has said. The first is he has shared that the departing soul has many fragments they will attempt to find. Those scattered fragments may be part of the things we want to keep as a reminder of the lost loved one. The physical things can never surpass the memories inside our being. Too many fragments left behind make it difficult for the soul to transition easily as well as making it difficult for those left behind to move forward. It is not asking anyone to forget. It is asking us to move to a higher vibration of using memories instead of stuff for both the departed soul and our own sake.
And not a shred of evidence or logic can be found in any of that word salad you prepared, all of it easily testable for yourself btw or you can take two minutes and research others who have tested these concepts....spoiler.....none....yet here you are believing in soul fragments and vibration magic just because hahaha it's honestly scary that people like you still exist
ATTENTION: I did a burn and smoke cleansing this month because I was getting prepared for the 21 Day Orbit Breath Meditation. On the first day I remembered I was going to do burn, air, and water cleansing.

What happened that day?
During the meditation the back door opened and a our neighborhood cat came in, I thought it was my family member. Later I found out that no one had came home, mind you I kept my front door was cracked to keep the smoke circulating. I will post the link of the meditation.

I kept my, grandma,mom n sister's belongings after their death..I been sleeping in the bed same bed they passed on.Yes, I dream n grief them every now and then. They are my guardian angels who been caring for me throughout my life
The worst and with certain negative energy are those who are alive. those who are capable to hurt you, make you miserable etc.
I am Christian and in the last few months have listened to Sadhguru he is obviously very wise and I find him very easy to follow. He looks at life and many situations we mortals face with such a very easy to understand and practical way it's a shame he s not in charge of all countries where someone as wise as him could easy put any situation in order. He may be right because negative attracts negative but when it comes to your deceased loved ones, they will never harm you they protect you with their love. Grateful to God and my ancestors for always protecting me.
He has a very strong point. The reason being you need to let go of the person for them to be able to progress in their journey. When we hold onto their things thinking about them it becomes difficult for the soul to move on. Not necessarily a loved one won't scare you. That being said, we always will have at least one item.
No. Once dead they are dead. You must understand that after death they are not your family, this is because the soul does not have an ego nor does it have the ability to procreate. Typically, everything related to that person should be burnt because fire purifies everything and the soul can not be bound by anything materialistic and can leave for the supreme abode or the new body.
I respect opinions and beliefs of people depending of what religion they follow. You tend to hear whatever they have to say but not necessarily adopt or follow them. I was born Roman Catholic and was baptized as such. I take this message as an information of how they carry out their religious beliefs. I'm happy that I have learned information of their religion.

In the USA we could get into legal trouble for burning thins like this. Plus, we can't always afford new clothes and items. We have to get them from second hand stores, or keep what has been given to us by someone who has now moved on. I've never known how to go around that.

Just because our love ones has perished, doesnt we get rid of everything they once owned. They walked on earth once. Breath talked smile laughed cried worked slept etc. They have meaning like you & me right now.

All my life as far as I remember I had a negative feelings for my father but after he died some of personal stuff like watch and glasses I have kept. No matter what happened I always wanted to love him and be loved. But it is what it is

I have heard many stories of saints bodies remaining perfect after death. Yogis are not afriad of being cloned.. what a total crock of doodoo.. i implore you to find a real teacher.. you will find that real teachers do not charge money for darshan..

The problem with dogma is interpretations. All religious text is corrupted by the writers, and then later, by those who say they are experts in interpreting it, which only means it’s their opinion. People may believe that they are gurus that have reached higher consciousness by reading that text and interpreting it but again, that’s only left to each gurus interpretation. Not based on reality

The passing of someone close to us is always difficult I like many have lost a number of close family and friends being 63 I don’t look at the loss but the pleasures of memories we can look back in our memories and share a moment with thoughts of who has passed so their physical presence is gone but what they left in your soul is always with you.
Stay positive and keep your good habits alive. I don't believe in negative energy.
Even i have my grandmother saree she gave to me when she was alive. Her memory is with me i can't forget those days when i spent time with her. I always remember her
I totally agree with what he's saying however I don't think it applies to people who are extremely self aware, when I'm in my spirit form I have no attachments, no worries, just eternal peace & radiate gold light. When my father died his spirit was hanging around the house as if he was still alive, I had an out of body experience where I thought I awoken to his favorite music playing and I realized I wasn't awake I was in the astral realm and I heard him painting the rooms he was painting before he died and then I heard him walk down the steps creeking and I sit up from the living room couch where I was sleeping out of my body & I said "dad u know u passed away right? U had a heart attack " and he said yes and then I noticed his arms were pure black darkness you couldn't see through them and I told him to kneel down and as he did I formed my hands together into a triangle 🙌 and gold healing light came pouring out of me into him and next thing that happened was we instantly went to a higher dimension with nothing but gold light everywhere and we pressed our hands together, bowed our heads, and felt nothing but eternal peace & the strongest most powerful force of love in the universe. I believe I healed him, he was an alcoholic so he had soul bondage as some call it. I don't believe my soul will stay here when I die regardless if my possessions are burned or not.

Very nicely explained. Yes, we do miss our loved ones that have passed on, and love to keep their articles. This is comforting for us, but it does no good for the soul. It keeps the soul bound on the earthly plane. Giving away all their belongings is the ultimate gesture of love for the soul, for it helps it to move on, on its onward journey.
If we remember that our connection with the soul was for this lifetime only, be grateful for it, and not hang on to the idea that we will meet somewhere, sometime . . Then it is easy to love and let go. . .

I have always loved thrift stores. I use to drag my mother along, one day she asked why I wanted to go to old second hand stores and buy dead peoples clothes. I truly never thought of that. I stopped, a bit startled, then said, well, they don't need them any more. I still visit these stored, but admit I do think about if it belonged to a deceased person.

My mom passed away a year and a 1/2 ago.We opened the apartment to her many grandchildren and children to take Whatever they needed. everything else went to the local charity.I personally took 2 of her formal jackets and 3 orher outfits. Lately, I've been feeling her presence in my home more. I find myself wondering why now.

What about the remaining things of a wonderful person ? There are great personalities in the music world who spent their lives in giving us with their music performance ecstasy and happiness and having had gratitude and modesty. Will his positive aspects not stay present ? Why does one keep all remains of a saint in one place and let followers touch the stone of his grave ?
Because saints energies are of extremely high vibration and not like a normal persons with all the normal persons fears and faults. Spirits of higher frequency ones can come and go as they please.
Thank you Sadhguru in making this video and putting it out to the people. In the west we are not taught as children about death of the organic body or about the energies of our bodies. People are taught to fear death. That fear controls and draws forces like a magnet. Learning the reality of death has made me become compassionate of the deceased... that they continue to live, and to not bind or pull on them...and help them by doing what you described in your video to help them on their journey.

In the 1980s I had a second hand 1940s jacket in London, I wore it once , I was very sick before even going out. I had to take it off immediately, and was sick till next day. This proved to me how the person who things belonged to still have an effect.

I am a military hybrid and have lived in a meditative state of isolation for my entire life. I am concerned that you may be projecting your short-comings onto me. Our team has helped many spirits to go to the other side and with the help of reiki. Reiki gives them light to go to the other side.
Once, we asked a family if the dead mom loved a particular pen. The daughter was shocked. She said her mom would never let anyone use it. We saw part of her soul still stuck in that pen. We in Hinduism tell everyone to let go. After knowing why spirits don't go to the other side as soon as they die, it really pains me. They get stuck here when his/ her family member shows that they can't make it here without them. But once they miss their chance, they suffer in darkness. For energy, they suck from their loved ones alive. Or else its hard for them to survive in between worlds. So unknowingly, they are harming their loved ones instead of helping them. Hinduism has a 13-day ritual to show the departed soul that we can survive without them. We give them food and water for their journey to go to the other side. By the 13th day, the family members are so tired of all the rituals that they also just want to get back to normal life. The last day is more like a festival. All their belongings like clothes are given away. As a gesture that they can go now. We will meet them on the other side when our time comes. They are more helpful to us when they go to the other side than getting stuck here for us. We will get back to our normal life in some days. But what about them. Few even get into others body when their frequency matches and get stuck there.
Are we saying that you can't inherited every items which is worn by death including a Rolex watch or the cars of the death that he loves so much where the person spend his everyday cleaning it as if it is his baby, or your wife you loved where your DNA is present including in your children to be all burnt. This logic does not work and does not make any sense. There is no scientific evidence of existence of a soul, similarly of god. Nevertheless, I do believe in the science of meditation to enhance ones faculties as self realization but other than all this is all BS. Please see other views such of Neil DeGrasse Tyson the astrophysicist that is purely based on evidence not just on belief system. Science is the only evidence we have beyond that it is all just ones belief without any evidence.
