      Mate, I had the same injury myself from boxing training whilst in the army. My breathing was screwed up big time and meant I had to sleep with my mouth open each night, waking with a dry mouth each morning. I got this fixed at one of the BMH's (British military hospital) in Germany at the time which returned my breathing to normal. All I can suggest is try and get it fixed before you join up as otherwise you may find physical training a lot more demanding/difficult, e.g. running with respirator on, etc. Good luck 👍

    • @kierman99
      @kierman99 Před 3 lety +2

      You can. You most likely would have been deferred, meaning you have a set amount of time before you can apply again. For instance 2 years or something. That’s not always the case so it could be worth to call up the recruitment teams, explaining to them and see what they say on the matter and joining in the future.

    • @kierman99
      @kierman99 Před 3 lety +1

      You can attach to commando units and I’m pretty sure you can do the all arms course. However compared 16AA which have their own medical regiment you tend to see a lot more of them compared than commandos as the commandos mainly take from navy medics. But it is still possible, you would most likely be in a support brigade however. Hope that helps

    • @adamhand2145
      @adamhand2145 Před 3 lety +2

      @@drewfoster2375 I've only just got into phase two but so far I would advice the Guards heavily. just going through training it's an incredible feeling of pride with how high the standards are that expected of you and you are constantly reminded what it is you're going into. Also in comparison to many other regiments the guards has a huge amount of combative opportunities once in battalion which you might not get from other regiments.
      Only advice is play the game. Every training team will take pride in trying to make training as hard physically and mentally as possible. it needs to be far and for your own pride you should want it to be hard so just be prepared for the hard times and the mind games but just get through it as the rewards are all there on the other side

    • @gusjeazer
      @gusjeazer Před 7 měsíci

      Usually, yes. But you would need to go through some bureaucracy to get your qualifications matched to the local equivalent.
      In some countries there is no equivalent of the job role of paramedic, so you might get downgraded to a very basic level or you might only be able to work in a hospital.
      If the qualification is on a bachelor level, you shouldn't have any problems going to other places.
