Dogs are not dangerous. Having a responsible dog owner, training them well, and getting them used to people from a young age are important things that affect how a dog behaves.

I hate it when many dog owners just keep their huge dogs free saying their dog is friendly and it is ok if it was kept free . Ofcourse ur dog will be friendly with you , it doesn't mean it might not be agressive with others

I’ve never known a mean Pittie, Rottie, Shepherd, Husky, or Mastiff. I however have come into contact with some very nasty Chihuahuas, Malteses, and Cocker Spaniels. Also I used to work in insurance, and over 20 years in the industry I dealt with three dog bite claims. Two were Golden Retrievers and one was a mutt.

The first dog I had was a German shepherd. His name was Ben. I was 5 when he came into my life. Sadly at age 1 he was shot leaving him blind. What made him great? I was a scared 6 year old seeing my dog bleed from his eyes. even in pain I remember him licking my face. His blood dripped from me. Ben died a loved dog when I was 12. I still remember him at age 25 as the best dog I ever had.

Thank you for your comment. It’s wonderful to hear about your positive experiences with German Shepherds. They are known for their intelligence, loyalty, and versatility. However, like any breed, they can develop behavioral issues if not properly trained or socialized. The label ‘dangerous’ often has more to do with a dog’s upbringing, behavior, size, and strength rather than the breed itself. It’s always important to remember that every dog is an individual
