I would love to hear opinions on using stage lights for videography. I mainly to podcasts interviews on a small to medium set with lantern and softboxes.

I prefer lekos for front light and parnels with barn doors for hair lights. How I was originally trained plus I've had too many times a client walks in and drops a logo gobo on the table nobody knew about or project manager didn't do a site inspection and you end up having to do truss towers from the back of the room. The only downside being when the shop doesn't send the correct barrels and having to store the cases back stage.

This might be an odd question, but what would work to light a 20 foot by 20 foot pro-wrestling ring, specifically for video, that also would be budget friendly?

It definitely could, but pars may make more sense financially. Shoot us an email with more details at gear@learnstagelighting.com and we'll help you figure out a package!

Nowhere near Utah, haha. Unfortunately my plate is full right now and I don't have space to take on any new clients.

How far away can the Fresnel fixture work? I think you didn’t mention this. I would love to use Fresnel because of the cost and the softness, but we can only install the front lights on the side walls. The lights would be around 12 meters away from the center of the stage in a straight line.

Depends on the zoom range of the fresnel, take your specific model and find it's beam angle, and put it into our calculator to see how large of a circle of light you will have: www.learnstagelighting.com/calculators/
