Good stuff to know,I have been looking to sell my vintage-new vintage baseball card collections but am not close to any places putting on card shows worth going to. Usually card shows here in Vermont are not very big or have people with serious money to be able to buy such a collection as what I have. I don’t what to break up the collection of its best cards or it decreases the collection value as a whole but may have to consider it and didn’t know of other places other then eBay so it’s good to now know it may help sell them faster.
Thank you. This will help me and a friend out. He took me in when I was recovering. He's worried bout losing his place and he's got so many extremely rare cards but never had had a chance to catalogue and sell. I'm doing it as a thank you. Any insights or sellers to help me help him back would be a godsend
At card shows you can get a good example of what other people are asking for thier cards, when I sold cards twenty five years ago, I was making one hundred dollar a hour.also run a add on a card collector magazine
Yeah for the most part you can - but some sellers have old pricing that they haven't updated or they are all over the place. Usually at most of the shows I go to - they comp according to ebay then bump a little for in person.
I collect IP & TTM autographs, what about items that are more rare that don't have recent sold items on eBay? For instance I have a Bowman Chrome Draft Team USA Clayton Kershaw RC signed and authenticated\encase by JSA\BGS with no grades. I asked an auction house and they gave me an estimated value but that has been over a year ago now. Just wondering where I might be able to get a value on those type of cards.
I’m always smiling…and sometimes shedding a tear or two…by the end of your videos, Neil. Well done! Just got my first compact tractor, a New Holland Workmaster 25 with a backhoe. Now to learn how to use it so I can tear out my very-past-due-to-replace sidewalks and unfortunate botched concrete job done back in 2015. Might as well take out the 200’ of 45 year old pavement while I’m at it. 😉
My uncle gave me a box of baseball, basketball and boxing cards before he passed. The most recent shows 1980s. Where can I sell it and i am not gonna get ripped off?
Thanks for the video. Someone donated a bunch of sports cards to my local library (which of course they can't take) so I got a box full for free. I don't collect cards so I've been looking into selling them. This have been very helpful
do you think a card show would be good to off load my godfathers collection? he had some great stuff, ive been researching his collection, some stuff i want to get graded.
You'll definitely get the job done there - but everyone buying at a card show will be buying with the intent of making money off of what they buy. So you will be leaving money on the table selling there.
To go into further detail - use the ebay app to get value. Type in the card you have then click the "sold" tab and it shows you what people are paying for that card over the last 90 days. This gives you the true value as nothing is worth more than someone is willing to pay for it.
You can definitely send first class with tracking. If it’s higher value, I would recommend that. A good place to buy shipping labels outside of eBay for the same price is pirateship.
Put it in a card loader, a film card baggy sort of speaking for the card or there are this thicker type of card holders for individual cards if they're good cards. U can find those single thicker plastic cases for individual cards at Walmart ask where the football cards or the Pokemon n magic cards are they should be in that area I'd put it in one of those then a envelope n then fold envelope n stick it in a bubble envelope just to be cautious if it's a rare card if not just put it in a sleeve holder then put it in a FF olded paper n then inside a plain white envelope that's all
