The biggest difference between this and their old cpu’s is the packaging💀
The older one is better tho
I like the 10900k and 10600k but thats it i. Bought the 5900x
Oof
@@lcarn500 The 9th gen were probably the most lit.AMD should step up their packaging too.
@@notkray8468 No they shouldn't. It's just unnessecary waste.
We're just watching Intel digging their own grave here
12th gen is going to blow you away
I wouldn't say so. They just need to release sth for the sake of releasing sth until new node is available. I believe with the new CEO money will be thrown at the problem and in a few years we'll see significant improvement. Intel is 70 billion USD company. They'll be around for a long time.
@@Franseven And then Next Ryzen will blow Intel away with 32 cores CPUs
With this processor, they're not helping themselves. That being said, the 11600K actually does decent compared to the 5600X but there's no denying Intel can't match the performance of the higher core-count AMD chips.
@@Franseven its the day that intel launches 12th gen alder lake but DDR5 is overpriced and out of stock. your gaming rig is left with empty RAM kappa

@@creeplyjoes8828 I spend around 5 months with the 12900k and tweak everything to the max. I sold it and went back to the 11th gen. If you only knew what it was capable of doing then you wouldn't make any ignorant statements on the 11 gen cpu. It is the BEST gaming CPU Intel has ever put out. They squeeze every last drop out of the 14n and put into 11 gen and the most refine of all.
Yeah for sure this is Coffin Lake
I see what you did there
Nah wait till 10nm and 7nm intel launches with DDR5. Intel had some issues and fell behind but they're still competing off of 14nm. That tells us something.
@@bradbeyers9028 how many years they've been in 14nm architecture? Lol, this is why the demand for Ryzen is rising up every years even in my country. It's quite hard finding the newest ryzen 3 and 5 available in the market.
@@bradbeyers9028 It looks good until you realize that they're doing that at twice the power draw, much higher clock speed and with nonexistent headroom for overclocking compared to AMD
@@NyanKuro Shit happens man they were the leader for like 10 years. Stubborn leadership and manufactering set them back. They could have just had tsmc make their stuff like AMD but they were stuck on 14nm cause they were too stubborn to do that. They are changing nodes and they'll be on top again. Anyone who knows CPU's knows this.
Running this chip on a ASUS Maximus XIII Hero with 64gb of ram. All I do is game on the machine and I am very happy with it. People see reviews like this and are like “this sucks” but if they actually used it in a high lvl build you can’t tell there’s a difference.

11900K + RTX 3090 is the modern rendition of FX9590 + R9 295X2
295x2 is much more power-hungry than 3090 tho, its a dual GPU setup of an already power hungry GPUs
Not to mention the dual gpu cores causing white flashes in most games as the built in crossfire was trash and amds quality being in the dumpster back then

11thGen "Missing 2core/4t again 😭 Waste of SAND again : D ( Waste our money again, Intel Shame )....,
Short and straight to the point, excellent review.
Let's all take a moment and appreciate the R5 3600. Released back in 2019 and still holding it's own against these new CPUs. I'd go as far as saying it's among the best ever CPUs to see the light of day.
i would claim that the i7 2600k was that chip. CPUs are getting crazy these days doubt my r9 5900x will be relevant in 5 years
So good I still have mine originally intended as a placeholder waiting for 3900X stock/price drop now awaiting the 5900X but not hurting for performance at all.
@@adonay944 Q6600 deserves a spot up there as well. I had the G0 stepping at 3.6GHz that lasted the longest of any CPU I have ever owned.
@@Wahinies I upgraded from the q6600 to a 2600k and agree that it was a great chip, my chip was also staying @3.42-3.6ghz but would work even @3.7ghz. Heck the thing even booted to windows @3.9ghz . Great chip and a fantastic overclocker . Come to think about it it was a 2.4ghz chip. Back then it was often not performing as well as the OC dual cores my friends had like the e8500 . Games were not optimiced for more cores
Thanks for showing us this. I love how honest you're and just say your opinion. Literally my fav Tech YT Channel
What's the alternative though? Have you seen a positive review in comparison? Im not disagreeing but it seems redundant to compliment his honesty. That's parts of the job. You cant be a product reviewer without it.
Great video as always! Could you make some tests about the 11th intel CPU using AVX512 against AMD's using AVX2?
hey mate, love ur vids. been bingeing them ever since I found you, great to see you're aussie too.
Just a little suggestion, maybe you could add "lower is better" "higher is better" on the benchmarks depending on the graphing? I know it's trivial but just a helps my monkey brain read them a bit better.
Hey man love your reviews! Look forward to new ones all the time. Just wondering if you would be able to throw MS Flight Sim 2020 into the mix as it's a unique beast where it requires insanely intense systems but only benefits from single core performance. I'm always seeing reviews about how many cores new CPU's can squeeze in but this just doesn't help with this particular sim. I'm also confused about the "Core" and the "Thread", ie; if a game is reliant on "single core" performance and you test a cpu which as better "single thread" performance is that still the same thing? If there's 2 threads per core than are you only referring to the individual thread? Sorry for the newbie question.
Great video as always! I would've loved to see Ryzen 7 5800X on these charts as well, considering that's the latest 8c/16t from AMD to face off against Intel's latest 8c/16t.
Thanks for including the 3950x and other 3000 series processors.
performance of 5600x is just impressive! It is so close to the flagships. Massive respect for AMD
I want one at msrp so bad
yeah 5600X even beat 5900X and 5950X in some games too. but 5600X cost the same as 10900KF from where i live . sadly given intel's poor performance , i don't see AMD's price would drop anytime soon.

For streaming and gaming is better 8core 11900k or 10 cores 10900k?
Awesome video as usual ✌️
Were your tests done with ABT enabled? I can't tell because your frequency graph showed 4.8GHz instead of 5.1GHz.
Any improvement in IGPU? Is UHD Graphics 750 is any better than 630? Quick Sync Video is my intrest...
So yeah, GN calling it a "waste of sand" was pretty warranted.

Does the Ryzen CPU smart access memory work with the 3080/3090? If not, is that a reason to go intel i9 if you're wanting to use a 3080/3090 instead of team red cards?
Thanks for including the ryzen 3900x in your review 👍
Outstanding Review! ^^
Wow... massive improvements!!!! What? The packaging I mean.
Features, overclocking, memory speeds. Dedicated PCIe lanes for NvMe instead of 8x8x bifurcation. This does impact performance on higher tear cards such as 3090.
There making the best of what they can offer. I remember watching the videos of how many cores you actually need for gaming and it was 6 to 8. It still is. I think 95% of us only care about the gaming number and ATM, a better GPU will get you better numbers as games only use so much cpu HP. GREAT VIDEO though as always.
Can I use this to replace the furnace in my home? The hose is about 2500 square feet and I want an ambient temperature of 25 degrees Celsius
so, i have z590 asus rog strix-f with i9 10900kf, a still have 2 weeks to return the cpu and take i9 11900k, but it is a good ideea? the + from i9 11900k is pci express 4.0 and nvme m.2 gen 4, i have WD_BLACK SN850 gen4. any advice? thanks
Can you review the 11400? Looking for a budget CPU for my sff build.
Going to try get your hands on the new Louqe?
Can you please check out the graphics with the APU without a GPU for "budget builds that can be made NOW" to use until GPUs become available and affordable? Compair the new i5 11600K APU graphics to the graphics performance of the AMD Ryzen 5 3400G, which was the previous gaming king for APU? AMD dont seem to have bothered with a 5000 series APU (possibly to try force people to buy their more expensive GPUs instead), so has Intel managed to overtaken them with their 11th gen APU? Does Intel's Iris Xe Graphics beat AMD's RX VEGA 11 graphics?
Hey dude where did you get this light ? :)
Would you review the 11400f?
Just out of personal curiosity, at 8:03 is the CPU actually in the box or is it just movie magic?
Nice video quality as usual
I paid 600 for a used i7-5960X in 2016. 8 cores and amazing overclocking headroom. Plus I tuned all my memory timings about a year ago and it's getting insane gaming performance.
Now seeing the 11900K with the same # of cores at the same price I paid 5 years ago, that's just sad.

Do you guys think it's worth upgrading to this or 10700k from 8700k?
I hope this is the last 14nm Intel pulls out.
Haha. It's never over. 😂
They got keep adding +s to that architecture
It will be, 12th gen will be 10 nm
But Ryzen 6000 will be 5nm, so lol
It should be. Intel has ridden that train long enough.
Imagine if they switched to 5nm and increase ipc with a better thermals in the 12th gen versions 😳 but not happening anytime soon 😔
If you are going to do a Z590 mini itx motherboard roundup, can you please test DPC latency. Its so important, but only Anandtech tests it, and they test maybe 5 boards.
I managed to snag a 5800X on amazon for £307 - only slightly more than the discounted 10700K here in the uk - to replace my 5600X that i paid £278 for to replace my old 2600. Wouldnt have ever considered the 8 core at its msrp but thought id jump on it while i could
Exactly, it’s not worthy of the i9 badge. Last gen with 10 cores was defendable, but taking a step BACK in a next gen and then still calling it i9 is a bit of an insult. They should’ve called it an i7-11700KS or something, since it’s nearly identical to the 11700K.
The 11900K is by no means a bad cpu, it serves to lower the price of 10th gen and be a great used budget cpu. Right now the price isn't great until intel slashes its price by 30% and people will look at it like it is the hidden deal of the century just like the 10700 and 10850 price cuts. Really exciting to hear all this negative feedback because it will make the CPU more affordable!
Have u recieved the Louqe raw yet? Really looking foward for that review :D
How about MSFS2020 or ARMA3 performance? Those are very seriously limited by single-thread
At least they got to also properly shrink the boxes to a smaller node.
Does anyone know where Intel went? All I see is Ryzen 9, 7 or Threadripper with RTX GPU
What's the point of the 11th gen cpus?
10700k is a beast of a processor. Bought one last week and it rips! 11000+ score on Cinebench R25
Would love to see this compared to the CPU I just built in my new machine, 5800X.

Intel did right by not giving that heat sink now we going to save some shipping costs as well as more packets would be dispatched ASAP
Really hope this is not the last single die CPU it would be sad to end on such a low note.
same with asus and the 10850K. on par. but better temps. i need to recheck the new beta bios that was out yesterday same 4.8 same data
Curious to see how the 11700k stacks up.
Did you know AMD CPUs don't have AVX512 instructions?
Oh and by the way, AVX512 instructions are insanely useful for programmers.
It's that workload amd's lose by more than 500% so nobody shows that in fear of losing their amd fanboys who flood channels and provide clicks and likes everytime you say something positive about amd.
If you must have intel get the 10th gen stuff since its dirt cheap now. The 10600k is a fabulous deal at $200 and after overclock gets you most of the gaming performance of the i9. AMD might be faster now but the table has flipped and intel is now the budget king for a bit less performance.
It would be hilarious if all i9 11900k cpus were unlocked to 16 cores with an update on April 1st as the biggest April fools joke ever.
I mean in this market, does it matter to Intel? It will sell out almost instantly. I don't think there is much incentive atm for companies to push until stocks and demand can be met
okay thats nice but cant we see it compared to older visons, im rocking an i7 8700, this would no doubt be better but but i want to know much
I saw the z590 an wanted a review of that over the cpu
which cpu should i get in order to avoid bottleneck with a 3080?
10850k or 5800x I would say since it will be a higher end build. 5600x or 10700k if you need to stretch money. 5900x if you can get one and want to "future proof."
Is anyone surprised anymore??
