  • In June 2016, Coca-Cola began testing Arctic Coke coolers in select Speedway Convenience Stores in Indianapolis. The cooler works with Coke, of course, but it can turn any drink into a slushy treat.

      Hmmmm maybe I should have made myself more clear :o) ....MOST UNFORTUNATELY you haven't placed any of these Coca Cola machines that are in this video here where I live in the middle eastern Ohio area. The machines I am talking about are the typical ones we see everywhere in our local country side stores and even in towns at the popular gas stations and such whereby they have slushy machines that I'm pretty sure are not the CocaCola brand or even affiliated somehow with CcaCola but yet these places have the CocaCola flavored slushies...but thanks for the courteous message trying to help :o)

    Man... I thought this machine was genius.. I was literally thinking of buying one.. I've done this before at my house. You set you fridge to cool drinks just before freezing point.. Then you smack the bottom of the bottle, it excites the molecules (Neucleation) causing your drink to turn to to Slush, all the machine does is vibrate causing the same effect as smacking the bottom of your bottle... What a let down.. I thought this was cutting edge breaking technology, feezing my warm beer to a nice cold chill.

    This is just super cooling. The only thing that device does is use something to cause a nucleus point in the below 0° liquid. It's pretty neat to try at home. But not really a selling point if they're going for that. Great for getting perfect slushie sodas in geneal stores, so there's that benefit.

  • @NovaBadger
    @NovaBadger Před 5 lety

    You can also do this at home, when a drink is brought to below freezing temperatures it doesn't freeze immediately, because ice crystals need something as a base to form on, and the plastic walls just don't work for some reason, but when the bottle is being shaken it allows the co2 bubbles to form or introduces air into the liquid which gives the ice crystals something to grab ahold of and begin freezing the entire bottle, if you're gonna try this at home i recommend purified water, it takes longer to freeze over and gives you a nice window to do this, just make sure there are no air bubbles on the side of the bottle

Only once did we forget one in the freezer too long and found a burst bottle. That being said, they had the reusable (read sturdier) bottles in Tanzania. It's strange how far reaching Coca Cola is.

    All that development money to do something a simple tap on the edge of the counter will do.
    The cooler next to the machine hyper cools the beverage, specifically redesigned bottles prevent crystal Catalyzation while stored in the cooler and the cylindrical machine off to the side just sends a sonic pulse through the beverage to catalyze the formation of the ice crystals. Unfortunately Coca-Cola has not actually found a way to hyper cool beverages instantly like a reverse microwave which would have been revolutionary. This is just a brilliant marketing ploy using a very popular science experiment.

If not, it's probably because the sodas were just put in the fridge.

    So it's just a freezer that super chills the liquid, like a water bottle in your freezer and when I assume the platform vibrates it freezes. Seems like you could have spent your 20 years being less white coke

    It's just a flash freezer; the technology has been retrofitted for use with a plastic soda can. Now try this with margarita ready to drink wine and you're in business
