- Today we review and discuss the Twinsman with Matt Parker of Album Surfboards; an alternative shortboard featuring two fins and a wing into a rounded pin. A low entry rocker leads to a single concave into a spiral vee into a pronounced vee, and the deck features a concave throughout. Should you add a Twinsman to your quiver? David offers all the info you’ll need to answer that question. Enjoy!

I like the description of this as a short mid-length. That's exactly what i was looking for!
Hi, I bought a 5’4 Twinsman, is around 27.9 litters and I am 149ibs and 5’10. And this is the best board I ever had in my life. I surfed like 3 feet wave and this board Rocks. The combination of foam distribution in the deck in a very clever way and low rails really works, I think is a very well designed board for many types of conditions.
Hey. What's about duck diving. Can you do it easily?
Didn’t know Ryan Reynolds knew anything about surfboards.
Hey, probably one of the best, relatable reviews I’ve ever had the pleasure to watch. 👌
Great review!!! I would love to see more of them!! I struggle to choose between the Album Twinsman and the Christenson Lane Splitter... I wonder if those boards works in the same way? Both of them are twinnies, they are quiverkillers for every conditions... it would be a great battle! Thanks again for this great job!
so what'd you get as I'm in the same boat?
@@emil4985 none of them I went to my local shaper, the one and only "Chienville" best choice ever!!
Transitional time. I like the way you put that. This is a great video mate.
@danyabsley, thanks for the positive feedback! We're glad you enjoyed the video and appreciate your support. Here's to embracing the transitional times ahead! 🌟
I'm trying to decide on the Twinsman as a stock 5'4 swallow tail or a custom 5'5 x 19 1/4 x 2 1/4 rounded pin tail. I'm 5'7 and float between 145 and 150 lbs. Looking to replace my 5'5 Haydenshapes Holy Grail with a good all rounder daily driver for anything from chest high to head high ish. Any thoughts between the two now that you've had some time on the board?
Fins volume lol, excellent review in any case
Matthew Perry interviewing Ryan Reynolds, super cool these guys are surfers, I never knew.
Great review...tossing up between 6'0" @ 37.3L and 5'11" @ 35.7L .....do you get penalized much in terms of the ability to turn the board if you go higher in liters, i.e. does it become "boaty" to surf, or can you get away with it? FYI my short board is 34.5L
Rob, yes, you'd be penalized a little. Considering your shortboard volume reference, I'd go with the 5'11" Twinsman. It's 1.2L more than you're used to, but the distribution of foam adds so much more "paddleability" so it'll feel like a significant difference but still be totally ripable.
@@SurfSplendor thanks so much man, appreciate it.
This was good to read I’m 92/95 kilos and surf a generous 34.5 in a 6’3 shortboard and loved the 5’11 twinsman for the 3 surfs it lasted. 3 years later I’m gunna try again. I was considering going the 5’11 dimensions maybe a little longer. How have you found yours? ✌🏼
very very good
Has anyone surfed this board as an epoxy ?
Let's just see it surfed.
Matt was great, the rest not so much. The concave deck stopped your rail engaging?? It does the exact opposite, just like a skateboard deck or snowboard bindings like Matt said.
A lot of this is from 80’s tech ……all of it is coming back
album surfboards fall apart fast, if you ride it in real waves it wont last more than a few sessions.
😂 ok Dave
