Back when games were good. And you could play them on day 1, just off the disc. No bug fix patches. It just worked.
Oh I remember very well when this game first came out. It truly was revolutionary. The graphics, the game play, all of the unique controls and ways to move around the map. I vividly remember having my jaw and on the ground through most of the play through. It very much became one of my favorite games of all time and I couldn't wait for the next game in the series to drop. Thanks for the modern review and nostalgia. Here's to hoping the remake holds up.... Please Ubisoft, take notice of what Capcom has done with the Resident Evil games.....
I was about 20 when Splinter Cell came out. Hours of fun. A remake would be a huge it!
Both SC and Pandora Tomorrow were great; unfortunately, after playing chaos theory, I can't go back to those first 2. CT was just so much better!

I never played one, the friends with consoles liked it; but knowing Ubi... yeah, they gonna plague it with micro-transactions and expensive DLCs for sure.

Why?
Well, it's a great game as it is. So in my opinion, make us a new game. The whole remake hype is only about easy money. Take a risk create something new instead of keeping your shareholders happy.
