  • In this video I explain why thiamine (vitamin B1) is essential for cardiovascular health and the circulatory system. I examine the effects of thiamine deficiency on the blood vessels, the heart, and how chronic deficiency can produce symptoms which mimic other cardiovascular diseases.

I am aged 58 and I have been taking Thiamine nitrate 250mg every day for the last 3 months together with being on Keto diet and I can honestly say my adrenals are starting to heal, my back has straightened (vegas nerve) and my hair is getting wavy again (increase in hormonal production), my sinuses have cleared and my anxiety levels have considerably reduced. I’m very concerned about supplementing B1 because of my leaky gut and my bad reaction to almost all supplements. I will be calling for a consultation next week when I get back from holidays. EONutrition I agree. Unfortunately, the attitude of most of the carnivore community is “you get all you need from meat”. This mentality hurt me in the long run. Even liver, which is high in thiamine, does not provide enough for someone who has been chronically deficient like myself. I’m doing much better including some sweet potatoes and rice along with meat, liver, oysters, and thiamine supplementation.
