    Gearbox oil absolutely. Most cars, like 90% of them these days, come with a "you don't need that" and an unsurprising replacement transmission cost of £2000 or so, because why not make owning costs seem cheaper by omitting something important. Oil will always be cheaper, especially in a diesel car that has the potential to run for a very long time with high milage

    First is why changed the gearbox oil in 2017-2018 they usually been done at 60000 miles I bought tyres wits maybe a puncture repair at 8 mm depth with maybe 250 all together,the suspension kits it cost you about 500£ on aotudock or any other places I mean full kit not just 2 arms so I see that you are a good costumer for the industry good luck with it ,I drive a 67 plate A8 but didn't need to spent that money in it at the moment after 1.5 years.... Good luck to all

    I think it was quite cheap to maintain, most of what was done in the car was basic oil/filter service. Do keep in mind this car new was around 80k euros if not more

    To service this great car is not expensive at all i have skoda octavia 2011 1.2tsi and to regularly service the skoda cost nearly the same oil change,oil filter+ labour 130euros. Few months ago had to change 2 front suspension arm's and 2 bushes 790euros with labour and that's skoda not audi a8 premium luxury car so i think it's really cheap to maintain an Audi A8. Many people think that skoda is cheap to maintain but that's wrong it's expensive for what car you get on my skoda Octavia all expensive part's had to by changed timing chain 930€ at 70k km and that's with the engine still in the car, high pressure fuel pump 470€, oil pressure pump 270€ and the oil has to be changed every 10k km if you change later the car runs bad so what car cost more skoda or Audi definitely Skoda. And about changing the gearbox oil and filter in the Audi A8 its a must every 60k kilometres is better to spend few hundred pounds on gearbox oil change then 5grand or more on new gearbox.

      He hey.Hot summer now than cold and rough winter is on its way🤞I would go for this 4.2 A8.This can take some punishment and gearbox i heard can take up to 1000 nm. Road tax is not bad for such a beast and economy on motorway is surprisingly good.Downside is parking.Good luck mate.

    Gearbox oil every 60000 miles

  • @hugorof78
    @hugorof78 Před rokem +2

    I think you did correctly, the gearbox oil MUST bé changed every 100000kms OR 7 years un the ZF 8HP . The gearbox maker sais that, and knows better the gearbox than Audi.

      @@rafadmochewicz6297the UK used to be like this. Road tax was for the roads therefore motorbikes were something like £5 per year but lorries were very expensive to tax.
      Now the rates here are based on what they want ordinary people to be able to do while alive

    It's always amusing to hear about these meticulous service schedules. I mean, are you running a taxi service or something? Our fleet cars, you know, the ones that actually hit the road, don't need a spa day every few thousand miles. We're talking about changing engine oil every 30,000 kilometers, and filters every 60,000. Transmission oil? Gear oil? Brake fluid? basically never, .

  • @ivanamikova3084
    @ivanamikova3084 Před 2 lety +2

    Gearbox oil is a must on every automatic car every 60 000 miles who saying you dont need to they stupid. Ans those figuers for normal full service is to high 500 to 800£ for filter and oil change is rip off.
