Why didn’t you show the kiln and finished product? Did you kiln that stone?

Hello, Phoenix fires as low as 1200°F in the kiln or can be torch fired. Check out Phoenix firing instructions on all the temperatures it can be fired at: cooltools.us/collections/phoenix-torch-fireable-clay%E2%84%A2/products/phoenix-torch-fireable-clay%E2%84%A2
Yes, the piece was fired with the stone. Many of the stones we carry are heat safe stones. Check out our Gemstone Firing Guide, which lists our stones and what temperatures and time they can be fired at: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0596/7092/1404/files/Article-Gemstones_In_Metal_Clay.pdf?v=1679589161

I was thinking of getting into pmc do you think a silicone mold would work for a design that you push the clay into?

Hi Rob, yes, definitely! We sell many silicone molds for this purpose. Metal clay does not stick to silicone. Please feel free to reach out to us if you need help getting started, we're happy to help! 888.478.5060 or sales@cooltools.us
