- South African lawyer Tembeka Ngcukaitobi used a video published by Middle East Eye during a public hearing at the International Court of Justice in South Africa’s case against Israel, concerning alleged genocide in the Gaza Strip, to show that Israeli soldiers and commanders are following their Prime Minister’s "genocidal" speeches. The video shows Israeli soldiers gathering ahead of an attack on Rafah, with their commander rallying them and urging them to "destroy Rafah."

It was bad, believe me, white folks could not walk on the same side of the road as blacks and if a black person happened to bump into a white person, they would be arrested. If it was a narrow street, blacks were supposed to get off into the roadway and risk death so as not to be close to a white person. It was a crime for blacks people to go to the same beach as white folks, there were signs, “No Blacks / No Dogs Allowed.” Bus benches were for white fold only but they did not ride busses. Blacks got arrested for seating on those empty benches. Blacks couldn’t be in towns after 5 p.m. If they lingered until dark, they were arrested and kept in jail overnight or for a few days of interrogation. Separate everything, schools, residential locations, no citizenship for blacks no benefits for pay no recognition of dependents but for whites they had extra pay for extra dependents they birthed and the state sponsored with free education and were given high positions even if they were not qualified to supervise black highly educated individuals. Yes blacks had their own colleges and universities but not allowed to have senior positions in government jobs. Apartheid was real and expensive with whites and foreign nationals classified as First class citizens, Mixed race called “Coloureds” as second class because they some their masters’ language Afrikaans, immigrant Indianians were third class and the owners of the land blacks South Africans were fourth in the ladder with no right to citizenship to the country they called “Suid Afrika.” That mess had to go at a very high human capital cost, but we had our own Freedom Fighters, “Umkhonto Wesizwe” - yes, we had to fight on all front to gain our independence. We were called terrorists then and Mandela was the chief terrorist incarcerated for 27 years but he lived to become the first President of a free Azania - Republic of South Africa. 🇿🇦 Hail freedom, power to Hamas! Freedom is guaranteed for Palestine, that much I know.
