Connecting to Apple Carplay in a Dacia Jogger

- Let's connect your Dacia Jogger to Apple CarPlay via your Apple phone.
Due to a chip shortage, Apple CarPlay connects to your Dacia Jogger via cable. (Phone and music is wireless via bluetooth, but not CarPlay.)
I used a short cable purchased from Amazon which works well and comes in various sizes.

Using this wire I have connected an iPhone 8, 10, 12 and 13 to CarPlay. The connection does not drop out either which is good, as I know some owners have had trouble with some other branded wires.
The whole process only takes a minute or so and you can connect multiple phones to use Apple CarPlay.

What's the button with the A/Off do? Mine is blanked off
That is the engine start/stop button. So by turning it off, the car engine continues running when the car comes to a stop at traffic lights etc.
Thanks ! I have the same cable as you but an iPhone 13 and every five minutes it disconnects from the car play. I need to unplug and then plug again the cable to make it work but then 5 minutes later, same issue. With the android phone of my wife there is no disconnection issue, weird. Do you have any idea ?
@Adrien . That is strange, especially as it doesn’t drop out on Android. It works well for me on my iPhone 13, wife’s 12 and our old 10 and 8 without dropping out. Have you bent the wire in a funny angle or does your phone have fluff in the wire slot! You may need to remove it with a paper clip! Sometimes that cause the connection to drop out. If it still keeps dropping out, maybe try an alternative wire, this has been highly recommended on various owners groups! Eono Cable amzn.to/3ZHAWjB

@@nathan069100 there definitely are problems with the newer IPhone connecting to CarPlay. Really poor that Dacia sold the cars initially stating it was wireless CarPlay!! Which wire have you used! The one I use in the vid doesn’t drop out at all with my iPhone 12! The link is in the description, Alternatively try Eono Cable amzn.to/3ZHAWjB which has good reports from other Jogger owners.
@@captainhelpuk can confirm the cable linked has solved the disconnect for me - but so so poor that Dacia have sold cars in this state. If you’re experiencing issues, make sure to contact the dealer, finance company and Dacia Customer service direct. You won’t be able to reject the car, however there may be a gesture of good will. Dacia blame iOS 16 though
@@sstvns Cheers Scott, as ours works ok now with a wire, probably just live with it! But good shout re contacting the dealer to see what , if anything they offer!
