    Austria is not a B. It's an S or A at the very least. That track has it all. Simplicity, raceable curves, relatively short race stacked with moments and it's track design being almost an equaliser for cars. It being a B is just an objectively bad take imo

    You judged Saudi Arabia’s track based on the the fact it’s in Saudi Arabia. Yes I know it’s a controversial country but isn’t the title of the video ‘Circuit tier list’ not ‘Country tier list’. Saudi is definitely A tier and maybe even S tier in my opinion. Overtaking is easy and the track layout itself is very fast and challenging and it’s a joke for it to be in only b tier.

    • @magnustan841
      @magnustan841 Před rokem +6

      Tell me about it, I feel this list is based on what the majority of the fan base thinks and they need the views. I really like the Jeddah circuit for the shear sense of speed and the racing isn’t half bad either. Remember what happened with Alpine last year!

    • @EllisWL
      @EllisWL Před rokem +6

      @@magnustan841 exactly the title is completely misleading. A track should be rated based on how good the racing is (how easy is it too overtake) and how technical the track is. Which is why Spa, Silverstone, Belgium, Brazil and Suzuka are the only s tier tracks on the 2023 calendar. This is because they are the most difficult/ enjoyable tracks for the drivers as well as being good for overtaking. I know to some extent you should care but a tracks worth shouldn’t come down to the country it’s based in. I guarantee if the Jeddah circuit was in Britain and silverstone circuit was in Saudi Arabia, WTF1 would have put Saudi in s tier and Silverstone in b tier ahaha.

    I don't understand the hate Yas Marina gets. If this video was uploaded in 2020, D would make perfect sense to me. However, I think the layout changes massively helped the cars to stay closer to each other, even if sector 3 is still annoying to watch, and it does a fine job in producing more overtakes than the previous track layout.

    Don't know if i would put Monaco as D. It can be a fun race to watch depending on what the weather is doing. All the races could use a little spice added to them. With no refueling and seemingly longer lasting tires, they should require 2 compounds and two pitstops at all street races to promote more shuffle to the field. Just think what could have been with Alex in 2021 pitting on the last lap of a race. If 2 stops required, I wonder how much better his finish would have been. I know they didn't have the speed to win but could a P3 have happened because of running long? Only other thing i would do is drop Miami to a D. Im American and hate that race and Saudi should be an easy A. Put your helmet on and race. No politics between the racing lines.

  • @satyamsaboo156

    Redbull Ring in Austria should be A, Spain should be B, Monaco at C, Mexico should be D, Monza should be upgraded to S and you can also upgrade Netherlands to B which is actually a nice track to race, I think everyone will agree to this.Last but not the least put Saudi in S as it is the fastest street circuit and last 2 races were epic, don't judge a race based on the counties culture and politics.

    Tell me you started watching F1 in 2020 without telling me you started watching F1 in 2020!
    Some of these are spot on don’t get me wrong, but Monza, Austria and Imola not in the top tier is criminal! Up there with the best races of the year!
    You have a point with Mexico, Netherlands, Hungary and Australia, but you see the passion of the fans at those races and that’s what makes the event more than the race! In football terms it’s like watching the old firm derby, not the best watch in the world in terms of quality, but the passion and desire not only from the fans but from the drivers as well to win there and put their name to it!
    You could argue in times gone by and even today that track would be Monaco, but we all know it’s terrible and only on the calendar for the revenue it brings in, but the drivers still class it as one you want you name to on the winners list.
    The calendar is what it is, but no race in Germany or China/Malaysia is unreal yet 3 races in the US, will still be a fan of F1 but if it continues to sacrifice great race tracks over locations that will bring in more money then I will loose interest as will many others, fair enough make changes to increase revenue, but don’t sacrifice the roots and genuine entertainment we all know the sport to be in sake of major commercialisation

    I personally think the point of both Monaco and Mexico being on the calendar have been at least partially missed here. While neither the top produce particularly spectacular racing, they're both necessary inclusions because they test the car and driver in a way no other track does, they force the designers to take into account things that they otherwise wouldn't and force the drivers to prepare in ways that aren't the norm for them. Singapore, Monza and Sochi are all far more important than people realise because they're the extremes the cars are built to, though in the case of Sochi it 1) obviously has to remain cancelled in the current political environment and 2) could be easily replaced in that role with any other track that tests cold weather performance. You see it in the mixed up grids, the fatigue in the drivers, the amount of these that become races of attrition, Monaco '96 isn't the only time less than half the grid has finished there

    As a Hungarian i am speaking against my own country, but the Hungaroring is a potential place of borefest. The last few years are easily forgetting how technical, narrow and generally just hard to pass anyone, apart of turn 1. And if just not happening something special, its just a 70 laps yawning. Im surprised the A grade, i would put that track around C.

    I'd change Austria to A, Canada to S, and Spa to A. Canada is a great track with an old-school vibe. Austria is just so consistent in producing good races. Spa is a great track and Eau Rouge is probably the greatest corner of the year for pure driving but there is a legitimate argument for safety, with just last week seeing another death at this circuit in the junior categories. It also doesn't produce that much wheel to wheel racing. I also think you should have held off on ranking Vegas.

Jeddah deserves a slightly higher rating too, take all the politics away, watching onboards there is a treat. The sense of speed is unlike any other track. It’s what Monaco wants to be. The racing isn’t even half bad either, just look at the Alpine scrap of last year, sick! Also, every country we race at has some political and ethnical problem, so we could make an argument for not racing in any country.
